Deleted the Muffler on my 2015 F150, with the 5.0 Coyote engine, for a better sounding exhaust. Cutting it off and replacing it with a straight pipe. After deleting the muffler the F150 has a deeper exhaust and sounds very aggressive!
    My neighbors will Love it!
It also seems like it improved my fuel milage mpg as well. Not exactly sure if this is the case yet though.
Vehicle mods are not exactly cheap. But by simply removing the mufflers, some people say they get more performance and a more thrilling sound, all by simply loosening a couple of bolts and hangers. If you have money to spend, you can buy a set of better mufflers that are less restrictive than the stock units. This will have the same effect as a DIY muffler delete system but without the added cost.

When you change it later on start at the collector ( where the two head pypes come together) cut it at 3 in diameter then go 3 in all the way back and you will decrease back pressure. You’re still at 2 1/2 in and the stock muffler is really lo restriction, just look through it. You will get no gas mileage increase with this set up but it does sound great! The increase will come when you go to a 3 in all the way back. I have two F 150s an 11 and a 16. It has worked on both trucks as well as a power increase!!!

I sold the truck about two years ago. The guy I sold it to works at the same place I do so I see it every once in a while.
I did end up putting a muffler back on it before I sold it.
It did drone a bit and it didn’t bother me for a while but then I started to get tired of it.
If you don’t take it on long drives I’d say go for it but if you have long drives every day I would advise not to do it.
