John is one hell of a bass player and truly underrated. And I'm sure has the patience of a saint.
Massive props to John. Him and Gary were/are an amazing rythm section and it's really not easy to keep a structure going when singers stop singing, throw their guitars etc.
I'm so glad to hear John's perspective on things since he's usually the quiet one!! Thank you so much for doing this interview it was real great to watch, libs forever ♡

Love John and loved the Libs but this was a painful listen, could do with speeding it up! So many rubbish questions asked as well. What a missed opportunity!

Reni n Mani surely in there too. They could certainly lay a groove. "The most patient rhythm section in the biz" I remember someone saying about John and Gary.
Hmm, yeah great interview but just doesn't compare to the good ol' ones with the likes of zade frost or the Zane low stuff when the boys were on top form and the world's camera lenses were buzzing round them like a bunch of bees on fire. Personally I thrive a little off watching these old interviews and because I'm of that age I can drink in that fine mead because I'm of the same vintage. Great interview you managed to somehow keep that flow going which is good because it was such a inspirational time for so many. No other city than that of London could give birth to such a fiery and beautiful mess that the libertines were.
John has a very narrow neck.
Or a really wide head?
