    Can you add past perfect continuous in stories? When we use this tense ?

    • @WorldwideSpeak
      @WorldwideSpeak  Před 3 lety +1

      Great question! Yes, you can use past perfect continuous in stories. You might use past perfect continuous to talk about an action that had been in progress and stopped at a point in the past. (For example: "She had been swimming for thirty minutes when it started to rain.")
      Alternatively, you can use past perfect progressive to talk about an action that was in progress "recently" before another even the past. ("Her face was red because she had been running.")
      I hope this helps!

      @@WorldwideSpeak May I ask a question please:
      How about past perfect continuos + present perfect which replaces simple past.
      For instance: I had been requesting something which I have yearned. I.e. now, I still yearned it.
      Thank you.
