    Loved this memory --had an uncle and aunt living in the Mayors Walk opposite Mordants and the British legion--the uncle was a barber Johny Ryan--lovely guy--thanks Mark for the memories

    Thanks uncle P Browne for sending me the link, I was brought up in my grandmothers shop Browne`s in Barrack Street next to the Barracks, until i was 4 i was collected by my mother and Aunt Nancy, and brought to wales, my father retired back to Ireland to die after spending 42 years in wales, my mother a Waterford girl, O Sullivan came back to wales after he died, and she died in wales i travelled to Ireland Many times over the years, We love to see our Irish cousins.

      Hi, my grandmother is the same. I lived in St Carthage's Avenue, my mother and father being Letty and Jerry walsh. I knew your mother and father and stayed with your family in Ely in Cardiff when I first left Waterford. I now live in London and miss my grandmother still as I was very close to her. Lovely to see this clip

    grand mother lived on Mount Sion Avenue----brings back the memories Daddy Curtis was visited for a cure whatever the ailment

    My mother grew up in 37 barrack St... Right next to Mt sion... My grandmother told me that that plane crashed on the roof... But she said it was German... Funny how the story gets changed over time

      @@richarddalton5857 sorry to hear about your dad mark . l live in South Carolina USA ;however I will call my mom and pass on the news to Tony. L know your Dad Mark ,as a kid i watched him and Tony build wood screen at a tennis club ,at the back of Daltons home in Bernards place ,it encouraged my to train and become a carpenter like all the daltons ,Mark,Tony,Vincent,Jimmy ,And of course their Dad Dick.Dalton family are reguarded as some of the best trades mem around .Please say hello to Mark for me Tommy Phelan,I wish you & all your family well ,my thoughts & prayers are with you all in this time .Mark & Tony built screen in tennis club it must of been aruond 1971 or there about ,also rember Mary Kitty,Dalton, Richard Ido hope all things will work out.

      @@tomasofaolain3117 my father Mark Dalton arrived in Australia in November 1971 so it must of been in the (northern) summer of that year.... I remember him talking of the tennis court... Mary still live in Waterford although her family lived for years in Brisbane... All her children are Australian citizens and her youngest was born there... They missed the 'dirty old town' too much and returned home... I'm a builder and carpenter in Brisbane and am hopefully maintaining the reputation of the Daltons of being good tradesmen. I think I was trained well...
