Mini Solar Electric Oven 12v 18v direct PV DC solar power prototype toaster test

NOTE: the 12v Oven DIY / how to build video is coming next. I believe direct PV (PV-to-Load, PV2L) solar electric cooking appliances are in the future, and have developed several working prototypes in my solar workshop. Check out this early demonstration (April 2023) of one of my ovens running live in a field test cooking shrimp.
The oven is small, lightweight and very efficient, needing less than the power of 2 100 watt solar panels to do the job. (Future versions may only require 1x 100w panel)
This solar powered oven design is fantastic for Grid Down (that's the real "off grid") plus camping, RV, emergency preparedness, remote rural sites and more. There is nothing cleaner and more "green" than cooking hot meals straight off of small solar panels. No large battery banks, light weight, robust design and construction, high efficiency are key design goals for these prototypes.
Solar electric PV-to-Load ovens can do what Solar Thermal ovens cannot: bring the oven indoors out of the wind, sun and environmental factors. All that's needed is a pair of wires.

This is why my RV has 3 power sources for the fridge.
120v, 12v and propane.

Very interesting device. Been wanting to experiment with a non-compressor RV fridge, if I can find a "free" used one here that still works. Or maybe I'll just end up getting a RV, who knows :)

Nice.. I have an air fryer but out in the storage barn I have one of these but almost twice it's size. I do use my Ecoflow Delta II to power the air fryer with.. so solar to lithium to AC is still quite a loss in efficiency... but overall cooked with the sun too. Maybe I'll set them up on my flatbed trailer and cook some lunch.. and also power the Ice maker as well for a cold drink to wash the lunch down with. I also have 18V Ryobi tools here.. so perhaps I'll convert mine too.
