@@itwasyeager Good choice if I was collecting for the ps2 and ps3 I would first get the Sly Cooper games myself. I just started Ratchet and clank and Jak and Daxter collecting myself so far got all the ratchet and clank games for the ps2 and ps3, for Jak and Daxter I only have Jak 1 for the ps2 I’m still looking for a complete Jak 2 and Jak 3 for the ps2 and Jak and Daxter collection for the ps3.

Black was pretty much the first "modern" FPS game, it felt like CoD 4 before CoD 4, on a previous generation too. I had the demo and was quite impressed by it.
The amount of hours I put in Burnout 3 takedown is insane
Burnout is also amazing, ps2 had so many insane racing games it's hard to remember all of them sometimes

I’ve had my Series X for awhile and I’ve played some really good modern/next gen games on it. But I recently started emulating PS2, PS1, and GameCube games through ‘Dev mode’…..and honestly I’ve had more fun playing these older games than I have with most of these newer games.
emulation makes these games look amazing with the upscaling and you can even use reshade for shaders...and it's free!
@@GriffinTracker yeah they look amazing, almost like a lite “remaster” for some games. I usually keep the resolution around 1440p

There was another True Crime game. It was originally named True Crime: Hong Kong, but the rights were sold and was later rebranded to Sleeping Dogs. I still think about how good that game is...

Loved True Crime NyC and LA was bummed they didn’t work on my PS3 properly the game wouldn’t pass the training missions. 😢But fun games for sure!
So many amazing memories and awesome games back on the PS2. You gotta pick up Mirror's Edge and Deus Ex Human Revolution for PS3 when you go back to your game store dude. I'd also recommend The Matrix games on PS2 as well. Theyre excellent!

I had a lot of fun playing Black on my friend's Xbox back in the day. I think it was even more fun on that because you can upload your own music from CD onto the Xbox hard rive and play the music as background music while playing games. Good memory of blasting enemies in Black with Paul Oakenfold's Bunkka in the background. Granada!!
I used to do that with GTA3 on the Xbox. Nothing like attempting an insane stunt & watching the slow motion replay to the strains of Radiohead’s Street Spirit.
Just finished my curated PS3 collection at about 125 games and I just started collecting PS2 and I'm at close to 40 and want to have about 125.
If you haven't played puppeteer on the PS3 I think you would really dig it.
Underground 2.. Wow, the amount of time that my friends and I put into car tuning for each race type. Beacon Hills downhill drift was my favorite run.

Black was amazing, you just remained me my childhood. It is too sad that we don't have these kind of games anymore... ps2 games still far beyond from the current released games.
Kev, I played Fallout 3 yesterday in honor of you and it blew my mind how good it was. Good writing/gameplay/acting/story/mechanics. I know it’s PS3 but it’s one of the greatest of all time. You should give it a shot if you can. Highly recommend!
those Bethesda ports ran like hell on ps3...Oblivion, FO3, New Vegas... even half life orange box..but yea, Fallout 3 might be my fav game ever

Playing through Final Fantasy XIII at the moment and the graphics have held up remarkably so imo. Modern gaming is a shell of what it used to be. 6th and 7th gen are goated.

Funny you should say GTA3 is the one you played the least, as it’s the one I played the most. Vice City just felt like it was trying too hard & GTA 3 still has the best camera option (behind your vehicle, but raised up enough so you could clearly see the road ahead). I’ll never know why they removed that camera option for Vice City, but it made that game less fun to play.
BLACK is my favorite FPS game. I beat the game on black ops mode recently. Had the game for years.

The True Crime series turned into Sleeping Dogs on the PS3 which from what I've heard is very much worth playing - I'll get to it eventually but currently I'm playing Rayman Origins of all things and it's one of the most fun games I've played in a long time.

many PS2 gen games felt so hard because they didn't have frequent save stations/checkpoints so if we fail mid mission, we should play the rest again but those were the best gaming days period!

Move controllers and the camera are really easy to find now but might get lost to time soon! two player these titles are a must!
If you can also find a move navigation controller you can play resident evil 5 gold edition which is very engaging as its in the Wii style similar resident evil 4 port using wiimote-nunchuck (similar experience). The same applies to Bioshock Infinite and it's very playable and unique way to do so!

One thing that a lot of people never realized is that San Andreas has couch co-op! You can't do missions, unfortunately, but you can just cruise around and gain a wanted level...My brother used to play as a baller while I was an all green, grove street gangster, CJ...gangs united lol

Black was on the very, very tail end of the PS2's lifecycle. And it was touted at the time as being the best looking game at the time. I still remember cause I was looking at buying it at that time.
Great video. Fun fact if you weren't aware, sleeping dogs on tne Ps3, 360 ane later ps4 and xbox one was meant to be True Crime 3 at one point until Activision was no longer interested in it. Later on Square Enix bought the rights to publish the game but they didnt get the name True Crime so they renamed it sleeping dogs.

My PS2 has basically been hooked since late 2002.. I still haven't finished a lot of the collection. I usually go back to it when I have vacations and such.. Been working on PoP Two Thrones lately.. I think I'm gonna go back to Gun and Ace Combat 4/5 next up.. Sometimes I have trouble running certain discs tho

I forgot about Black. What a throw back. True Crime too. Some really great games. RE4 was completely remade last year. Why not some of these other titles? I had hit and run too but i don’t think I beat it. What about Shadow of the Colossus tho?

2 games I recommend if you haven't played are Yakuza 1 and 2, there are Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2, which are remakes of the og PS2 games, but imo its definitely worth it if you wanna put more hours into your PS2

8:45 sleeping dogs on ps3 is the latest true crime game. It was originally called true crime Hong Kong before square changed the name. It’s a hidden gem for sure, and I prefer it to grand theft auto

Urban Reign in PS2 I very popular in India. I suggest you give it a try. It's a beatem up brawl game by Namco. I still have a ps2 fat just to play urban reign.

I would definitely recommend Silent Hill 2 the greatest hits version since that version has an extra campaign. As for PS3 I recommend South Park The Stick Of Truth and Max Payne 3.
