Some trivia. First 5 letters of Neil Armstrong name spelt backwards = ALIEN.
If you could care less you must care to some extent in order to have capacity to care less. However if you couldn't care less, you don't care at all. Why do Americans say they could care less when they really mean they couldn't care less?
Probably because we shorten everything we say.
@@Jodi_BoringReviews shortening is fine … but saying the opposite of what you mean because you took out ‘not’ is a dick move. 😂
Because they don’t understand what they are saying, ignorance is bliss.
Because yanks just get hold of the English language and stick it through the mincer
Al's sketches are based on historic/current events at the time of recording but spun for the max fun....lol.....
As said already Michael Collins knew exactly what his role was and the reference to Liam Neeson playing
Michael Collins the early 20th century Irish political leader was for comedic value which the audience knew
what he mean't...........cheers to you both.
Thanks!!
After watching quite a few of your reactions now, I've decided my favourite parts are the ones that make Jodi shake her head and say 'no' out loud, as if she's refusing to allow the words into her head. That seems to happen at moments when a joke/comment crosses some invisible line which starts to make her squirm a bit - and it's hysterical to watch. There was only one small example in this reaction, (pretending to be a princess part), but it was still enough to make me chuckle. Loving it. Keep it up guys. 👍
I’m glad you enjoy it!! I’m going to have to go back and watch it. 😂
@@Jodi_BoringReviews I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh at your discomfort, but your innocent mind shines through in some of these reactions and it's both very endearing and funny all at the same time. Watch from 5m30s if you want to see the part I meant and thanks very much for replying. Best wishes to you and Nick from the UK. :)
It’s okay! You are so kind about it! Thanks! I’ll check out that time of the video.
Did he think he was going to land on the moon 😂😂😂.... bless your cotton socks
❤ from Northeast England ❤️
Love you pair intelligent, and very watchable. Cool you both teachers. Iam an aero space engineer so funny watching al Murray about the moon landing because I have a slight clue how much knowledge must have gone into getting them 3 there and back. Xx
Thanks for the kind words. That sounds like a great job. Yeah. Lots of work.
Our son wants to be an aerospace engineer!! That is awesome! Thank you for your kind comment!
After landing, it was discovered that the door was jammed. It took a long time bashing the door using muscle-power to get out.
man no matter how many times i watch this the Michael Collins part has me in stitches ahaha
I'm 62, born in 1960, Liverpool, I instantly said Michael Collins, as a kid sat on a gym floor watching on the black n white school tv, the whole wonderous moon landing is etched in my heart and in my brain, but i had doubts when Al asked the question, just cos am old and forget lots of stuff, But Major General Michael Collins is remembered and revered, at least by me, and I'm sure lot's of other kids around the world who lived through this all those years ago, our humour is largely based on and at it's acerbic best through self deprecation sarcasm and humiliation, Al Murray is a very educated astute historian, who encapsulates all of these traits in his work.
Lol, I'm also 62 and that is exactly my memory, but the b/w TV and school gym floor was in Oxford. I watched all the (manned) Apollo missions avidly. It meant so much to everyone.
@@ak99uk Great memories of true history. was the t.v. on a high metal frame with wheels ? ✌
m8 if you think they really went there in '69, have a re-think.
@@jasonjones3638 zzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz до свидания do svidaniya tovaritch jay m8.
@@jasonjones3638 so did they fake the following 5 landings, and the aborted Apollo 13 mission as well?
Even after watching David Mitchell’s attempt to correct American Terminology. At 13:54 you reverted to type and said “you could care less” rather than: “couldn’t care less”. Lol. 😂
It’s an American thing!! 😂
We followed the moon landings avidly in the UK
Apart from the national anthem he could have mentioned fresh paint too 😂
I think the majority of we British think it was a great achievement landing on the moon. Including Al Murray. His narrative is just for the comedy.
Another great reaction, your my favourite reactors on CZcams.
Wow. Thanks so much. Appreciate you.
Thank you!!
Fun reaction to one of Al's best routines, please keep them coming. I heartily recommend that of those you still have to watch, that you consider Al Murray - National Anthems as well as Al-Murray Every parent must watch this. Along with those please keep the Sarah Millican and David Mitchell stuff coming. He's perhaps a bit risqué compared to your others, but please consider Jimmy Carr who is a UK favourite, though heaven knows Sarah Millican is up there with him in some of the jokes she does.
Al Murray is well into Astronomy and Space Travel, his piss-taking comes from affection and love of the subject
Star Wars and Indiana Jones were made at Elstree Studios, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England. I met Harrison Ford there in 1976. The Shining, and 2001 A Space Odyssey was also made there, along with 1000s of other famous movies. Stanley Kubrick Lived in Hertfordshire.
I went on the set of The Shining during production, and that was damn freaky and scary!!
Moon landing - Awesome
They say if you love your job you never work a day in your life, I am 62 this year and I have worked every day in my life lol.
"Did Michael Collins not know he wouldn't walk on the moon? Doh!
Lovin the sweater 😀👍
Next time you're in school, ask your students to name the three astronauts on that mission and let us know what they came up with. It might be a fun lesson for you. 👍😅
There’s also a movie called Michael Collins that isn’t about the astronaut
Going to the Moon was impressive for us Brits who where around back then. It was a massive technical achievement for us all. Being on the moon is not as important than the mere fact that we can. This is just comedy.
I'm retired..... nothing to not love about it!
The Russians were not actually trying to land a man on the moon though.
They were going for an invasion party but it conked out half way!?!
Yes Michael Collins knew he wasn't going to land on the moon. Room and weight restrictions for the lander. The 'Eagle' was almost out of fuel when it finally touched down. I think Collins said in an interview, if for some reason Armstrong and Aldrin got stuck on the moon and couldn't get back to the command module, he was serious considering not returning to Earth alone.
Wow!! Thanks for sharing!
@@Jodi_BoringReviews Cricket tradgic and science geek... 🙂
Somewhere (on TV I think) I've seen an interview where it was confirmed that Armstrong DID say "One small step for A man ...", but the "a" was lost in transmission. IIRC, there was a "beep" which was transmitted regularly for timing, and it happened to coincide with his sentence, blocking out the "a".
Of course he wouldn't admit to fucking it up!!
I was the British aircraft carrier HMS Eagle and had just returned from a visit to the USA, our Captain sent a message to NASA saying "From one Eagle to another congratulations'.
Listen Nobby, I know that the trans men and women bullshit is being pushed hard and we are supposed to believe their nonsense regardless of how ridiculous it might seem, but there's no f*cking way that you were an aircraft carrier!
Apollo 1. Roger Chaffee, Ed White and Virgil Gus Grissom died on the 27th January 1967,on the Launch Pad. Many others both Americans and Russians died in the space race. Valentina Tereskova was the first woman to die in space. RIP to them all.
Never landed on the moon...greatest con of all time.
Oh my
I honestly admire how well you take it when he takes the mick out of America. He doesn’t really mean it. It’s more to do with the fact of stereotype back in the day. Most the audience are laughing because of how and where he says it. We all love you both and also love your reactions xx
Thanks. It’s all in good fun. We got to be able to laugh at ourselves.
I'm old enough to remember watching the moon landings live when I was a kid in 1969 and although I'm a brit I was in awe at it and I'm immensely proud of what they achieved as part of the human race. I still follow all the space programs.
I would say "All jobs are terrible" and "You work with Gabe", but that would be like shooting fish in a barrel.
One small step for Gabe is to the fridge.
Al murray educational and funny you know comedy good when you laugh and and find out something new
I would be more impressed by Americans landing on the Moon before the Soviet Union if they hadn't given sanctuary to Nazi's to achieve it.
You should watch Hidden Figures guys... excellent film about NASA and the space programme as seen through the eyes of those who did all the math that made it possible 🙂
WHY can Americans shoot each other but have to bleep out the swear words, strange breed in the Untied States of America ✌️
Corrupt to the core one of most backward countries on the planet
Yeah and all they can do is say thoughts and prayers like that is going make things better
O-oh I could still hear one naughty f-word and one w-word
No one’s perfect. I’m not familiar with the W word
They are just words so much for the freedom of speech
The w word is probably wanker
I do agree that the moon landings were an amazing achievement. What I have a bit of an issue with is Americans who try to claim it was an entirely American achievement without realising than the space program was built on previous recent advances and developments in science, especially rocket technology, achieved in various parts of the world. It doesn’t often get spoken about how the US recruited a number of prominent scientists out of the Nazi military programs at the end of the Second World War because German rocket science and technology was considerably ahead the rest of the world at that time. The space program was pretty much the ultimate example of the concept of “standing on the shoulders of giants” which speaks to science building upon the advancements of those who came before.
The same can be said for Russian rocket achievements, they also had many Nazi scientists, as well as their rocket engines to study.
@@bycromwellshelmet2369 but they weren’t the ones who got to the moon first and we rarely hear them brag about their nation’s achievement, because whilst they were the first into space getting to the moon is generally seen as more impressive and as they didn’t do that they don’t tend to bring the space race up.
I's comedy guy's. It's not supposed to be serious.
I COULDN’T care less!
Apart from many satalites, going to the moon was the start of mankinds exploration of space, which can't be a bad thing ? because we will need somewhere else to go, after we've screwed up this planet !
It's the future for Mankind.
It`s only 3 days later & your failing to take David Mitchell`s request to heart (@ 13.52 & 14.01), disappointing !! How quickly you forget. Lol :)
The Russians were never going to the moon, only to space, America were the only ones who wanted to go to the moon, funnily enough, Al also did a routine about that as well, there was a "space race", but not a "moon race".
The Russians (or Soviets) very much were trying to get a manned mission to the moon having been the first to land a probe in 1959. They built the N1 rocket and the LK lander. Due to the rushed development scheduled the 4 test launches - all unmanned, ended in failure. The programme was eventually cancelled in 1974.
Don`t like censorship. It implies prudishness.
I don't understand why all the swear words are taken out when all the other US reaction channels don't do it. It's really annoying because it messes things up. Not necessary guys.
Still dubbing out the f'kin funny bits eh?
Al talking about the moon landing in 1969, Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins. Me and my dad stayed up until 5am to watch the moon landing, at the time we had a shitty black and white TV. The pictures were so blurred and grainy that it could have been filmed in someones back yard. That's where all the conspirisy theories come from. Did they go to the moon or was it fake. All I know about this is when Russia sent sputnik as a sattelite into space that orbited the earth, it sent terror and shockwaves to the USA. If they could do this with a sattelite then they could launch intercontinental nuclear missiles anywhere on earth. That was a wake up call, let the space race begin.
Did you read the slogan on your T-shirt,!.
Yes I know what the shirt says. If that’s what you’re asking.
Bye bye.
You mean couldn`t care less offcourse ....otherwise it makes no sense buddy
