  • China's "Apache Attack Helicopter" Is Stolen?
The project was given to China's Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation and China's Aviation Industry Corporation. They faced challenges - Russia didn't want to sell Mi-24 helicopters to China, and the US stopped selling arms to China in 1990 after the Tiananmen Square events. There was even a ban on selling helicopter technology.

No. This thing is a copy of a copy. They have not ever developed anything locally only stolen it. And it comes at a time when they need all the power they can get.
Take the comac airliner, it is claimed it uses locally made engines, but no, over half of the aircraft’s make up is……. Airbus.
The j20 or what its bloody called is using indigenous engines but they keep crashing killing pilots and destroying the aircraft. It is nowhere near a fifth gen. It’s barely 4th gen advanced.
The main issue is that because they cannot design their own and copy by getting deconstructing and the remaking is that you don’t learn. They never have. It’s the same with all of their equipment. Take the tank and su 27. The su 27 is a funny one. China bought 2 of them, then copied them. Russia saw this and lost their mind. They refused to sell anything to them. With the type 69 it was copied from a t62 tank they captured/stolen from the Russians during a conflict between the two. Though it was on Russia. Their nuclear weapons are also copies of Russian ones. Remember unlike countries that developed home grown nuclear weapons Russia gave China the first nuclear weapon. China never developed it themselves.
The engines they claim to say are better for all aircraft they have yet to make it work. Fact, they are nowhere near close to having a better engine. They approached Russia only to have them say no. Maybe with Ukraine war they will give China, but after recent events between the two, it’s more than likely it won’t happen.
It’s the same with anything in China.
