What a beautiful model, and style of flying ~ Love the way he lifted the nose of the airplane during takeoff when the airspeed is bare minimum. Sorry that it ended that way.
Hello Katana Aerobatict! I flew for many Years a Katana Model, E-powered... Thank you for the visit to my ScaleJetFred CZcams channel containing 140 mostly RC related video. Sorry for the delayed answer, CZcams hat some Comments hidden for 12 month!! Hoping to see you again and Greetings from Ireland! Fred
Shame to watch something people have worked their weeks into go down. :( ,wonder if they though of adding parachutes to stop them from the large damage
Such happenings are less and less happening because of for RC models new materials and designs for turbine powered planes have been developed. As for parashutes, I only have seen these used for (imitation?) break deployment at landings. Fred

G'day, Yay Team ! That's an amazing Camera you were using. For a bit of a giggle, backtrack me to see how I mated my Bushnell 10x50 "Trophy Extreme" Binocculars with my Nokia Asha 302 Phone's Videocamera...., the video is titled, "The Wharton VideoSniper..." and to see how it goes in practice, yesterday I posted, "Captured While Passing..." which features 6 Airliners at 30,000 Ft, starting at 10x Mag. then zooming in to 50x ; six hours of passing traffic condensed into 3 minutes, all in one Take, held on the Pause-Button between Shots. I like pushing my equipment to it's limits, it's fun. Have a good one, ;-p Ciao !
I have a look in a minute. I had 2 cameras, one Sony VX 9000E DV 20X Lense used by a friend and the other one Sony DSR 250P DV Cam 12 X Lense. Both recorded on 3 hour tapes. Thank you for watching! I'm something of a Hermit. I live on a 100 Acre Endangered Species Sanctuary, 15 Km NNE from the town of Glen Innes, atop the "Great Dividing Range", about 60 miles South of the Queensland Border, about 130 miles inland from the East Coast. I have a "Personal Aeroplanology..." Playlist, but I haven't yet begun to repair my second Aeroplane after it broke my Foot in 1992 ; and my first Aeroplane is so primitive that it hangs in the Transport Museum in Inverell, 50 miles West of here... I'm the sort of thoroughgoing Oddball who has literally flown behind 2 different Propellers which I designed, cut, laminated, carved, balanced, and varnished... Richard Sweetapple, who made the Propellers for the Vickers Vimy Replica, G-EAOU...; is the only other person I've ever met, who could say as much. My YT Channel was created by my Daughter, and then she bookmarked it onto my Prepaid Mobile Phone, almost 8 years ago...; and turned me loose on the Internoodle. I have no Computer. Which makes my Channel a bit of an anomaly. Some 4,600 People say that they're "subscribed" to my Channel ; but not many videos see 100 Views within 24 Hours of my uploading them. CZcams is a funny sort of a forum. Such is Life Have a good one... ;-p Ciao !
Schau mal in meinen CZcams Kanal, da sieht man viele groessere Modelle fliegen.
Sehr gut fuer Anfaenger... Gruss aus Dublin, Fred

James maybe how you should say it is "How unfortunate you didn't get the wing break" instead of being insulting!!! How STUPID of you to make a comment like that!!!

Sorry that it ended that way.
Best way to risk a stall at 3 feet alt and crash in 1 second... but ok grass is not the best runway for these models
