• Space Hulk Board Game ... - Hry
One small rules correction: during an involuntary blip conversion, the Marine player chooses the square(s) into which the Genestealer models will be placed, but the Genestealer player always chooses the facing of the placed models.
Another mistake was made with line of sight (it's hard to explain, but she should look up the line of sight rules again to see how it works). She should have had an additional shot on overwatch in one turn. I also saw her failing to utilize diagonal moves around corners with blips and genestealers, making the blips slower than they needed to be, which isn't against the rules, but it looked like she didn't know that you could move diagonally around a corner.
The greatest enemy of space marine terminators is, in fact, doors.
😉 ...except when you're playing Space Crusade on an Amiga - doors are then the most powerful weapon in the Imperium!
It's good to know those Genestealer's mother taught them to always close the door begins them when they leave a room. After all, she's not paying to heat Space!
Closing doors limits the future overwatch potential of marines. Marines have line of sight range on most of their weapons.
I wanna see an indie movie, called "The Door", starring brother Dano, its about struggle and determination
It could be the highly anticipated prequel to "The Room".
))
"You're tearing me apart Dano" - door
Hahahaha - this is great XD
We finally got a pretty gamer girl that ISN'T trying to sell us her bathwater lol
"Hey, Miranda isnt playing Warmachine this time.
- Really ? What does she play ?
- a bunch of big tough guys in giant red armors.
- Uh ...."
Ha! =)
I some how think i dont want have a career change to a terminator, PS your terminators are all shit shots lol
@@1000mjf Doesn't help that the Genestealers can cut through Terminator Armor like it was made of TIN. And your ONE lifeline, your Storm Bolter, might jam and thus allow it to attack unimpeded.
That was one of the best battle reports I've ever watched! The lighting and the music really helped to create a sense of tension and the quick, to the point play by play was perfect for keeping the pace up. This really makes me want to buy Space Hulk.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it =)
Genestealer and Blips can move diagonally. Would have saved some AP for the GS player. Otherwise a nice Battlereport! :)
Also would have given more than one marine a chance with overwatch shots, on a few occasions.
Was wondering about that. I used to play Space Hulk. Did the rules change in moving diagonally? I didn't see diagonal moves in this game.
@@witchdocendugu I think Space Hulk doesn't change that much between editions, not sure about this detail though. I also remember that genestealers could turn on a dime and didn't move like trucks unlike the terminators.
I know there was fan rules for guard, eldar, orks etc which could also take on space hulks. They also moved a bit more freely than terminators but lacked the armour and heavy firepower of termies.
Watching this made me want to get off my as and assemble my chippy and paint it up. This is a game I think I can get my wife to play with me.
Ihave a soft spot for this game as it introduced me into the tabletop hobby back in the early 90's
I'm so tired that when I saw the servo skull I started freaking out.
Nevermind, it's still freaking me out. Make it stop!
You're going to hurt Fulvius' feelings =(
I'm sorry, Fulvius, my un-augmented mind is too simplistic to appreciate the glory of servo skulls. I must report to a tech-priest and have this rectified.
Back in the day when I could get my buds to play the SAME game for an entire day. Now I'm lucky if they play the same game
twice!
Suffer not the blips to live, brother.
Because of this video I am buying this game. THIS IS HOW GAMEPLAY VIDEOS SHOULD BE MADE!!!!
Well I enjoyed more than I thought I would. After so many Space Hulk reps I wasn't expected much, and it goes to show how much good presentation goes. I look forward to the next one.
Great video. Just wanted to say, don't forget that you can move diagonally. It would have saved you some AP/CPs throughout the game.
For both Marines and Genestealers indeed.
And would've been one less Overwatch Shot on Genestealers that come into line of sight around a corner diagonally.
And Genestealers can move Out of Line of Sight and thus 'Dodging' one Overwatch Shot while moving diagonally across any Junction and/or Intersection towards a Marine.
@@madrox77 not sure if I'm confusing editions but I think only Genestealers can move diagonally to imply the clunky nature of Terminator armor
@@bknwuzheer1 No in none of the official edition is it like that though certainly I have played that as a house rule quite a number of times
Badass overwatch from Lorenzo in the last couple of turns, shame it could only bring about a draw. Can't wait for the next ep, and nice to see more content :)
Instant Custard A draw is better than letting Xeno scum take the victory.
@@pykamirulol
Draws can never serve the greater good.
This is the best Space Hulk video series ever seen in the Imperium. I really don't mind whatever small rule or strategic mistakes people can find - the time pressures mistakes the Space marine slip, this is intended by the rules. Bravo to the WGG crew, it's great.
Haven't played Space Hulk in many, many years. This video reminds me how much fun it was. Thanks!
Holy Emperor, this game is far more intense than I remember. I forgot that it took 6s to Hit, quite brutal.
You guys really did an excellent job. Music and atmosphere for this battle report was spot on.
Holy ....! The 2014 edition looks way more sophisticated... My space hulk game must be more than 30 years old....
Brother Gump sits...waiting...in his wheelchair
Damn, Sgt Lorenzo .... what a badass.
Surprisingly entertaining to watch!
Thanks for watching =)
Purge the doors, Burn the blips.
I really like the format, cinematography, and presentation of your battle reports. I'm looking forward to you posting more batrep videos!
I have to say, your videos are best as play by play action. It's almost like playing the game. Thanks.
I really enjoyed this batrep! The floating Servo-skull was a nice touch :)
You could feel the tension, loved it
9.25 - first you could get line of sight diagonally and shoot this way (this allows you to save two AP). Second genestealer player should choose facing.
Also you do not move diagonally but you can do this.
Subscribed on the strength of this vid! Have had Space Hulk for a while and now want to start playing, video reports really help to confirm that i've understood how to play etc
That was fun! I'd love to see more of these.
really cool to see a battle report of this excellent game with such good production value
Fantastic battle report. Love the music and the staging. ^_^ Solid game, this Space Hulk.I'd love to get my hands on it.
This was a lot of fun to watch! Not having any experience with the board game myself, I felt you did a good job of explaining what was happening on the board in such a way that it was pretty easy to follow along. As a fan of your Warmachine tabletop reports, that's what I've come to expect from your videos, along with the professional commentary without background sound from the game/players themselves. All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing more from this game (and hopefully Warmachine, too)!
Awesome Batrep. Love that you branched out to board games. Can't wait for the next one.
Great video. Excellent production value. The narrative is especially well done. I feel like I have a good understanding of thevrules after watching.
Thank you for posting. 😁
Thanks for a super fun and clear bar rep. I'm about to play it with my 8 year old son and this not only helped get him excited, but gave him a lot of the rules before we even open the box. Thanks!
Glad I could help! Good luck, I hope you guys have fun =)
sister Miranda ! slayer of doors! LOL great to see some space hulk that was awesome! great set up lots of ambiance. Looking forward to the rest!
Please make more of these battle reps!! These are high quality, very well done and are teaching the game , too!
Found these on my Facebook feed. So much fun! Space Hulk fan since 89 my gateway drug. The new set is the best yet with amazing minis. Hope it will come back into production.
SGT Lorenzo being an absolute giga chad that whole game ^_^
Stoners playing Space Hulk. Love it! The only thing missing is some Tie food. Thanks for the share!!
Very fun, loved it. Concise and well orchestrated. I've been a 40k fan since 40k was a thing.
That is soo much video editing! Really clear explanation of the gameplay, thanks.
Man, the paint job on those miniatures looks awesome!
Awesome video! I can't wait to see the next mission 😁
i dont even play TT games but i've watched about all your skirmish's. the amount of work you put in each video and you or your editing team do great work. I've learned a bunch. one of these days i'll have to give a game a go! *inspired*
Man, moved further and further away from digital games in recent years and migrated back to my roots of TT games. If you got some good friends to play with, nothing else like it, and Space Hulk is one of the best. Classic with great theme and components without being at all too overwhelming.
Cool, really hope to see more of this.
That was thrilling :D
never played this but heard alot about it. thanks for the play through. looking forward to seeing the other missions.
Yay ! Nice too se more content from you Miranda !
Excited to see this one! I always feel on the fringe when y'all are talking about Warmachine and Horde's things, but it's still interesting. We got a super nice rulebook at Adepticon this year. This was a great video, loving that servo skull haha. Everytime you said "But this shot misses too near the end there it was like, OHHHH NOOOO it's going to get hiiiiiim hahahaha.
Wow, first video I saw of your stuff, high quality work there. Great! Also the miniatures look amazing.
As always your videos are awesome. Keep up the good work.
6's like a boss 😅
Enjoyed the Sam Jackson tyranids on the ship ref 👍
Awesome paint jobs all around and also this helped clear up some questions I had about the game
I hope you continue this Space Hulk series. Really good work.
Awesome battle Report really well done very professional and very enjoyable to watch nice one. I hope you do more of these... missions gutted I came to these videos late.
Great game! And great batrep, thanks Miranda! 1's and 0's fed to servo skull
Love these space hulk videos you do I play heresy and bolt action but you've really got me into trying out some space hulk ..
Excellent format! Smooth and engaging! Subscribed!
i think it'd help if you had an overhead view of the table, maybe in the bottom right corner? that way it'd be a lot easier to keep track of where everyone is and the overall progression of the game :)
great video, looking forward to the other missions!
Im so happy! New vid
Very cool to watch. Looking forward to the next 15 now.
Looked like fun! Thanks guys!
I hardly know anything about this going in, at first I thought "Well man this is easy" but the situation changed mid-through so easily. Fun to watch, just shame there were only two episodes :/
Great report. It was fun to watch
Honnestly, this is so clean and methodical. I love it. Very professional. Subscribed.
Also, I just bought the game - partially thanks (or because?) of this channel!
so because during an involuntary reveal, the SpaceMarine chooses the orientation of the GeneStealers revealed, i'm assuming this isn't 4th edition.
A friend of mine and I started playing Spacehulk 22 years ago.
This is awesome !! Proper loved watching this and even caned all my data haha subscribing based on this vid and she’s 😍too lol top stuff
This is an extremely well done and entertaining video. I’m definitely gonna get this game now lol
Damn, Scipio met a gruesome end after his Stormtrooper aiming
Love space hulk!
This is precisely what I was looking for. Thanks.
Oh good. I hope you enjoy the rest of the channel as well =)
Excellent battle report!
Love these videos, Thanks to you i have convinced my wife that wargames are not just for nerdy men lol, and the way you explain the rules made it easier for her to learn before our game
Great stuff. Keep em coming, please :D
this is really well-edited! I wouldn't've minded a full-board view to go along with the closeups, but still, excellent.
I was hoping to get more wide shots in this one. Next one will be better =)
KEEP UP THE GOOD
WORK.
That servo skull is unsettling. I like it.
Random notes.
Memo-notes for GAME:
1) There's a special tile for the "step" to get off the torpedo. It adds an extra cost of 1 action point for each space marine to get off their torpedo.
Memo-notes for myself as SPACE MARINE:
1) remember to use the free shot associated to every move/turn. Destroy doors when possible.
2) You can move to the forward-diagonal square for the same cost (1 action point) as a forward movement.
3) Best case scenario, you manage to position your canon-dude facing north in the north room, in overwatch, covering a bottleneck to 2 GS reinforcement entries, while 2 overwatch dudes cover the sides, while the rest clean up the board from stray-GS. Work towards that clear goal.
Memo-notes for myself as GENESTEALER:
1) you can move in diagonals to close in the distance as a blip.
2) Consider revealing your blips to avoid being positionned by the Space Marine on his terms.
3) Don't overstack the blips if you want to avoid loosing a GS out of a 3-GS-blip when revealled.
4) you can close the distance between your GS-blip and the Space marine by "one step surprise step" by revealing your triple-blips before moving each of the GS born from that blip.
5) don't leave multiple blips in a room that you know can be flamme-grilled in the next turn. Maybe leave one "cheap" blip to get the flamer-dude to spend all his flame-ammo (known as his "flammo“).
Memo-notes specific to this mission as Space marine (BEACHHEAD MISSION #1):
1) The 1st turns are important. SM should Rush Forward, Open doors, flame a room or two before the GS can do anything about it and wake up properly (and get their 6AP).
2) The North-Central-Room is the "hard-room" to conquer for the SM in this mission.
3) Recognize when you can't win the mission any more, and when your best shot is getting a DRAW, then work towards it.
4) GS can only win if SM makes mistakes. Even with quite a lot of bad luck, SM should win everytime if given enough time to think.
Really slick and professional video. It makes the new version of Space Hulk look really good. Tempting me to buy those new board sections... :)
Thank you for watching!
Great models! Great video! Also the genestealer player always gets to chose the facing of models when a blip is overturned regardless of who turned it 👍
Best Space Hulk war-riport(s) on youtube.
Thanks for the vid!
Great idea for a vid!
Excellent painting on the minis, i remember the original version put a time limit on the marine player's turn, something like a minute to decide. Down to 30 seconds if you lost your sergeant. Really captured the whole "Game over man, game over!" feel from Aliens.
Thanks, we put a lot of work into them! The current version of the game does come with a timer, but the nature of filming a battle report just slows the whole thing down so it wouldn't be fair to constrain the player to a time limit. Also, I do have the next mission on the editing timeline so it should be out soon!
Great Battle Report. Got to get to work on painting these guys up! : )))
Tempted to try this now....
Best battle reports I´ve seen are in this channel.
Thank you =)
I'm new to your channel but really enjoyed seeing this play of the game. Please consider doing more Warhammer board games, very enjoyable!
Awesome stuff
Great WGG! keep it up
Great series....
Great video, fun to watch =)
Excellent!
Great video as always.
You may want to check your rules on movement
And placement of genestealers from involuntary conversion of blips (assuming it's 4th edition at the very least).
That Servoskull is the most adorable thing. Ave Imperator and ave Omnissiah!
One of the best board games ever made. The space marines have it a little to easy now. Thanks for the bat rep. You can move forward diagonally forward and backwards. Just a tip when playing :)
I havent played this in 20 years and wondered if some have the rules had changed
My son says that the floating skull should have a mustache. I say you get the door killer award.
Great game video . Great production value . Keep up the great video
Thanks!
