This was only 6 weeks before he passed away. He gave us his all until he left this world. When he passed away I was only 16 and totally devastated. He should’ve taken a long rest. But he never did.

To be able to sing like that while being so very ill is a true gift of God (to whom he's directly singing to).

With your interest in Elvis and our military, I wanted to share this story: "Elvis Presley At Pearl Harbor
On March 25, 1961, Elvis Presley held a USS Arizona Memorial Benefit Concert-the proceeds of which went to the construction of the Pearl Harbor Memorial.
Elvis initially formulated the idea after reading about how the memorial’s fundraising efforts had slowed. In fact, it appeared it wouldn’t even be built. That 1960 newspaper article inspired Elvis, who had just returned from serving in the military, to do what he could to help.
Elvis and his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, decided to stage a benefit concert in Hawaii with the goal of revitalizing fundraising efforts. The concert took place just months before the 20th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks.
Lo and behold, the show raised more than $50,000 for the memorial. On the day of the concert, Elvis was surrounded by thousands of fans when his plane landed at the Honolulu Airport. That evening, nearly 5,000 fans attended to see the King."
    "

You’re a decent man from what we can see. I’m glad to have crossed your path. I have chose an Elvis song for my funeral, as has my husband. I chose Elvis’ version of “Why Me Lord”? My husband has chosen “Peace in the Valley”. Those songs touched each of us in their own way and I will ask Elvis to lead me home with that golden voice of his if given the opportunity.

First of all, let me say I honestly love you, sir, as a fellow human being and I happen to be a Republican, too. lol Just throwing that in there - I am afraid - as there is too much division in the country and world, and I can't stand it, as I often find that I have to defend myself against racism for some, at least to me, odd reason. Secondly, let me most sincerely thank you for your public service, as you served proudly, and greatly deserve my thanks!!!
Also, as a musicologist, and after 30 years study, I've come to find Elvis Presley - and this is because of his remarkable ability to sing more genres, at an exceptional level, than anyone, to be the best pure singer I've ever heard. Of course, I also encourage everyone to have their favorites as music is ultimately subjective. Though I do think, if you have never taken the Elvis journey, to do so, as even if you don't ultimately agree with me, I am sure you will come to see - in some regard at least - what I have said. And finally, God bless you, while I hope you will also review Elvis' song for peace and reconciliation among all people, which was 'If I Can Dream' found in his 68' Comeback Special! When if we could have people like Elvis back, singing that song today, how wonderful it would be for all of us!!!

We, as human beings, lose people we love, but God loses NO ONE ....Not a single soul that's ever been born into this world . God is not limited by space, time , or anything else ...He has every one of his children . As proof of this , the Bible says that God names every star in the heavens . Now, science says there are literally billions of galaxies and trillions of stars in the universe, and that's just only what they can see because we can only see so far out into space ....Just try to imagine what's beyond our limit to see what' else is out there ...Even science admits that the universe is most likely infinite, that it goes on forever and ever with no end ....The universe itself appears to be like God, ( or maybe IS God ) because the Bible also tells us that God had no beginning and will have no end , that He exists in eternity . So, no one should worry about a loved-one getting lost among all the people who have ever lived and died ....If God can name every star in an infinite universe, know that God can keep track with ease of every soul that's ever existed which is far fewer than the number of stars... They are ALL with HIM , where they will be FOREVER . God knows all about infinite things , because He IS forever. People should take great comfort in this.
