    The deck building stuff is always interesting! The talk about deck ownership at the beginning always makes me think of a store owner out in New Mexico that said the cedh and edh formats were "rampant with plagerism," like this was something that someone could own ha ha. Same happens in regular fnms where players see you play a good deck and ask, "did you make this? or are you just piloting it?" Deck ownership is always so wild.

      Yeah, awful toxic mentality. Building and playing are just individual aspects of Magic. The beauty of the game is that players can express themselves on a variety of axes. Take and leave the ones you're not that interested in or not that studied in.

    Big fan of this video. Both matches you were featured on stream were some of the best cEDH play I've had the pleasure to watch (and the added pleasure of casting), and the big takeaway at the end of the video is something that I think is pretty important in the grand scheme of things when it comes to evaluating one's approach to cEDH holistically.

    Congrats on the victory! The most interesting takeaway I had from the tournament report was the importance of seating order. You won twice when you had first seat, and mentioned that your seat order was relevant in your loss to Lurrus. Also, your Turn 7 hand would be almost the nuts in my Zirda deck if you swapped Fierce Guardianship for the equivalent Deflecting swat, even with the concerns that Rag would not connect from 4th position.

      @BoshNRoll  Před rokem +8

      @@BobbyxZx You have a table communication problem. A pubstomper playing Tymna+X combo at LGS casual night is an asshole. A low-power player getting mad their deck doesn't keep up in a stated cEDH pod is also an asshole. cEDH is not pubstomping, it's shorthand for "we want to go hard." The point of the cEDH label is to avoid feel-bads.
      The typical LGS player has no idea what cEDH actually is and just throws that label around when their commander gets countered.
      cEDH is aggressively proxy-friendly. People want to play against your best deck, not your wallet. Most cEDH players barely own real cards. Money matters less in cEDH than anywhere else.
      EDH is close to unplayable in mixed company. That's an EDH problem overall and not related to cEDH existing as a defined meta. Finding a group that shares your power level interest is the best way to engage. If that's not an option, talking before like game about how your decks work is essential. I have a prepared speech for pickup games: "My deck is focused with a plan and interaction. I don't have any combos. There's some cool engines if I get enough stuff into play, but you'll see it coming and I'm going to win through the battlefield with damage."
