    Sweet vid. I appreciate all blue farm lists that don't run timetwister. 💙

      I really think of the deck as a dedicated Breach list, and so I'm always iffy on the Twister.

    These videos are great, I am new to cEDH and come from playing control and combo in legacy so I started with blue farm and rog/si. Having fun so far but need more experience, the mulling section was good.

    I’ve been playing edh for about 3 months(standard player for about 2 years) and kinda went straight into cedh. My main issue is knowing what to tutor. Whether it’s fast mana like dark ritual, mana crypt, win cons, toxic deluge etc.

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  Před rokem

      That's definitely a common issue for a lot of people, especially in higher color decks that have a lot of room to pivot between strategies. It's hard to give concrete advice to always follow outside of just play a lot of games, keep up with what you tutor for and how it works for you, and just keep trying to improve.
      In these more Midrange high color pile type decks, I always fine it helpful to really try to focus in on what my position at the table is and what my path to winning is. Sometimes you try to force a win and tutor a combo piece, but very often getting a value engine going or an answer to the biggest threat is critical.

    i feel like blue farm is not the best deck to learn cedh with but once you have a grasp of the meta and the lines and pacing then it's a great place to hone your skills for sure. really any grixis deck just never has dead cards, unless you're staxed out or drawing lots of lands and rocks mid game

  • @yimboy
    @yimboy Před rokem +2

    Good job doing this series so well! Always waiting for your weekly cEDH content. How do blue farm fight through heavy stax meta like Winota, Urza's etc

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  Před rokem

      Thank you! I'm not super experienced on the deck yet, but I think it's a bit table contextual. Overall I think you need to lean more into the Midrange plan of building advantage until you can remove the pieces stopping you and win. But there will be games you're able to go under the stax and win before they get developed, so knowing which of those gameplans to go for depending on your position in the pod and mulligans should help a lot.

    Im really looking into making this deck to be able to sit down at CEDH tables. I love mid-rangey good stuff decks that can switch roles depending on the game and of course drawing cards and getting card advatage.

    Love this channel!!
    Jeska/Tymna - worldgorger next?
    I think Worldgorger is now considered fringe but Worldgorger Dragon is getting a reprint and so is Entomb. Along with the new EleshNorn for another stax piece could see a small resurgence of the loop finish

      @LemorasCards  Před rokem +1

      Thank you! Always appreciate your comments. I actually covered Jeska/Tymna Mad Farm a bit back though it's not version with Worldgorger there's a lot of crossover. I think now that Abdel is out it's definitely a safer strategy though requires slots some lists may not wanna give up.

    Aren't you better to play Tymna Kraum as mid range as apposed to turbo. With things like Silis Roger aren't you out classed in speed. I just built a blue farm list from my Raffine list. But haven't played it yet.

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  Před rokem +5

      I think for most general play, you want to think of it as a list that has the flexibility of doing both. In some games you'll be the fastest at the table and able to keep hands that go for turn 2 wins. In others you'll be better off going for a more controlling plan of grinding advantage until you can safely win. The big strength of the deck is having both of these as viable options.

  • @DoubleBeast
    @DoubleBeast Před rokem +3

    9:20 If you consider the Okotober winner's list to be more midrange, then your list is even _more_ midrange-y.
    The notable unique cards in his deck are Birgi, Final Fortune, Timetwister, Grim Monolith, City of Traitors and greedier choices for counter spells. Whereas you have Serra Ascendant, Ledger Shredder, Gilded Drake, Phantasmal Image and traditional blue counter spells-all very safe and midrange-y choices. Both of you run Lavinia. Neither of you run Peer into the Abyss. The way I see it, Blue Farm never really was a turbo deck anyway. It _can_ make those explosive plays, but it doesn't consistently go off at the speed that decks headed by a combo piece commander do (e.g. Rograhk, Codie). Your video is easily digestible for beginners, but I think longtime players should stop throwing around that buzzword because it can give newbies the wrong idea.
    One last thing, you didn't have to exaggerate Tymna's & Kraum's card advantage that much (1:03). It would have been better if you had provided a few accounts of how many cards you drew from each of them in actual games rather than playing up on the "perfect world" hypothetical.

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  Před rokem +2

      Part of this is a timing issue, Loren changed his list just before this video went up in order to try out that version of the deck. I like to think of Blue Farm as a true Midrange deck in that it represents a threat at all points in a game, as opposed to what we typically think of as midrange in cEDH. I wouldn't describe the deck as turbo, but if a player wants to play it that way, it kinda just becomes a turbo deck, though a less consistent one.
      Appreciate your feedback!
