    In this video I explain how to make a wooden bag for special occasions :)
    I use my CNC-router to perform roughing cuts, then I use sand paper and clean the parts a bit. Next I install hinges using the method which I discovered for myself. It allows very precise alignment of the parts even if the hinges differ one from another. It works like a magic :) You can use the method for many other projects with hinges as well. Also I discuss how I make fabric inlays and how I apply finish and why I chose to polish the parts afterwards. Hope you'll find some useful ideas in this video.

    Very nice. I have just one improvement to mention. If you Smash the galvanized magnets one to each other for a longer time, the galvanized layer will brake away. It is better to sink them, 0,1 or 0,3 mm deep. Nice content! Why are the ideas the whole time from your sister? 😂👌☺️👍

      Hi, thanks for your comment. I agree placing the magnets a tiny bit deeper surely makes sense. I think it never bothered me, as after the liner is inside the bag, it partially works as a soft padding, preventing the magnets to smash against each other. Regarding the ideas, I think I just like to be on a technical side of things :)

      Hi, do you mean threads for sewing the fabric? As I recall correctly I used regular polyester #120 thread in black. Hope it helps!

    I want to know, when you close the bag snap, does it have the sound of wood.. coz i was thinking if i could put cushion to avoid snapping the wood parts

      Hi, it depends on how to install those liner padding around the compartment. I like when the sound is a bit muted with the padding. If material will stick out more, you’ll get very damped sound. Hope it makes sense.

    Hey there! What 3d program software do you use to design these bags?

      Hi, I have used Cut2D from Vectric. Home edition, or whatever they call it works just fine!

    What glue to use when adhering fabric/felt on wood?

    • @YuryShulhevich
      @YuryShulhevich  Před 3 lety

      Hi, the best results I achieved using tolex glue. It's a kind of water based acrylic glue which you apply both on you wooden part and on your fabric. Then after drying you put things together and it's done. Unfortunately I do not know the brand, as I bought it at a guitar shop for working on my speaker cabinet.. Alternatively you can use universal rubber/textile glue, but that one is quite smelly.

      Hi, if I understand you correctly you are talking about those loops for the strap attachment. Try to search on ebay for picture hanger, I found them just fine for the job.
