Despite being one of Classic Hollywood's most definitive leading men from the 1930s to the 1960s, Cary Grant never quite managed to find the true happiness and fulfillment that he spent his entire life searching for.
Sure, he put off an image of being this cool and collected successful star with a debonair demeanor, an easy-going approach to acting, and an impeccable sense of comedic timing, but the real Cary Grant was someone that dealt with a tremendous amount of inner turmoil.
Grant was one of the wealthiest stars in Hollywood. He owned properties in ritzy places like Palm Springs, Malibu, and Beverly Hills. He kept himself well-groomed, had an almost obsessive approach to tanning, and had a sense of style that even the legendary Hollywood costume designer Edith Head was impressed by.
While he had all the money he could ever ask for, the nicest cars and luxury items, and mansions that would have probably even impressed the Queen, it was true love that seemed to be ever-illusive for Mr. Grant. He was married five times and had flings and affairs with countless other women. It's also assumed that he once had a lengthy relationship with a man. In this video, we'll be taking a look at many of the romantic relationships that Cary Grant was involved in.

Despite his affinity for smokes & tanning, Grant certainly aged well. What about Sophia Loren? They certainly had quite the tryst during the filming of “Houseboat.” Surprised that wasn’t mentioned here.

One of the most handsome actors of all time! He was so charismatic and wonderful to watch on screen. His sexual preference does not matter - I hope he found love and happiness with some of his partners.

I remember when I told my husband about him and Randolph Scott, he couldn’t believe it. Then I showed him the pictures from Life Magazine. If they weren’t gay it sure seemed like it.

Cary Grant was the most sophisticated, elegant, debonair, and charming actor of his generation. He was very classy; his performances were 2nd to none. Hollywood was never the same without him. When he got older, he meticulously chose the right parts for himself, the characters that he plays should match his age. In Charade, he was almost 60, but he was more charming than ever. The infectious smile, boyish attitude, and classy look haunted girls hearts forever. There was no one like Cary Grant.

Worth noting that many relations in Hollywood begin in a passionate, impulsive fervor of emotionalism where real considerations are not addressed.

Notorious (1946) with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman...
They are my most favorite couple ever in a movie. Two great actor/actress...
They were great in this movie...
There friendship began when they started this movie together on 22 october 1945. Cary was a closed person. But Ingrid needed some protecion and Cary gave her that. They became very good friends and you can see it in there two movies together. The other movie is Indiscreet (1958)...
This kiss was the longest in Classic Hollywood time. Everytime 3 seconds and a little touching, nibbling, lovely words and still kissing. The most beautiful kiss in a Classic Hollywood movie... Such a beautifull love scene with there clothes on. And it was very special...
There friendship lasted for the rest of there life...😊💖👍🏻

But the story can be everywhere, by a little story of Cary Grant and one of his leading lady's...😊💖👍🏻

He got some gorgeous high class tail for being such an old geezer. I guess that's a clue to his great charm, wit, and great looks. He was an extraordinary actor too. He got to act with the most beautiful woman ever filmed, Grace Kelly in "To Catch a Thief", and starred in another Hitchcock film "North by Northwest", both wonderful movies.

I was most surprised by BARBRA Hutton. Not Sure if she’s related to Betty Hutton. Didn’t realize Barbara was related to a fortune

    • @paulaltman9751
      @paulaltman9751 Před 2 lety +1

Barbara's father was a Hutton of E.F. Hutton fame. Betty Hutton was not born with that name. It was her stage name. Barbara's mother and grandfather were the Woolworth money.
She went through her entire fortune and died at only 66 years of age. Barbara and Cary were known as "cash and carry."

🤐🤨🤔 There is no real proof, that Cary Grent was ever gay or even bisexual .And even if he was it was such a long time ⌛ago, and only his business. So disrespectful to keep bringing this up,now the man himself is no longer here to defend these rumors....

Here we go again with the same rumour. Let’s put it to bed..(pun intended)..
Cary and Randolph lived together and became a threat to their studio bosses with the number of starlets they bedded.
It got to the point where the executives were frightened that they were going to have multiple pregnancies to deal with.
So the PR boys came up with a dam fine excuse. Let’s make the boys homosexuals. No way they can get these girls pregnant. Must be someone else.
    Worked didn’t it..
That’s the truth of this matter and should be an end. 👵🇺🇸🇦🇺
These boys weren’t holding any sewing party.
But that was Hollywood in the 30’s and a pair of real studs…
