  • Boracay is the Philippines top tourist destination, welcoming over 2 million holidaymkers to the sall island every year.
It's safe to say tht Boracay divides the opinion of travellers, with people seemingly loving or hating the island.
In this video I go over some of my thoughts about Boracay, it's closure in 2018 and the differences I noticed from visiting before and after the closure.

I've been living in Boracay for over 2 years now and love it. There are plenty of non crowded areas to enjoy and a large variety of restaurants and nightlife available depending on your tastes.

I visited Boracay in 97 and I didn't care for it at all. It was overdeveloped for my taste.

So many other better options to visit in the Philippines than Boracay.

Agreed, it has turned into one big tourist trap filled with scam pricing. I can't recommend it to family and friends in its current iteration, especially when they can get much more bang for their buck at other lesser-known beaches.
