- In this Unisport Tech Talk, JayMike talks you through the difference between the two Hypervenom 3 boots, the high cut Hypervenom Phantom 3 DF and the low Hypervenom Phantom 3. Both boots are made of Flyknit, feature all the latest Nike technologies and are made for the clinical strikers who have one target in mind; Finish It. Here, our boot nerd explains why and how the boots are different and what it means for the fit in the Hypervenom 3. The good thing is that with a low-cut Hypervenom 3 you don’t have to cut off the sock on Hypervenom - you can just get the low model instead.

Engineered for the striker, the Hypervenom Phantom 3 is made with a brand new, full Flyknit upper - an innovative knitted material from the American giants at Nike. It’s been made with a special strike zone, where rate dependent foam pods give you a surface that’s soft and dampened when you hit the ball softly, as in dribbles and touches, but then gets harder and thus gives you a more powerful shot when you strike it with power.
To give you the most responsive experience, the new Nike Hypervenom 3 football boot is made with a more dynamic Flywire lockdown construction to make sure your foot is kept on the plate at all times while also following the movements of your foot. The HyperReactive soleplate has two zones; one is softer and more flexible and has hexagonal semi-rounded studs, which is the area where you need the plate to follow your foot when you turn. The other area in the midfoot is stiffer to give a better responsiveness and has bladed studs in different angles - so no matter how you put your foot down, you can push off in the right direction. Worn by the likes of Lewandowski, Rashford, Kane and Cavani, this is a football boot made for the games’ most lethal strikers.

I would choose the low cut one because I feel that you can hit the ball way harder and with more precision, as you can move the ankle freely. It is perfect for me as I attack strong, but with control!! They are amazing!
Really hard to choose but the Low-cut because it gives me a better ankle movement ,and now that it's Flyknit too I'd wanna try it. LOVE YOU UNISPORT!!!

Personally I'd choose the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3(which isn't called Phinish anymore), simply because I just prefer the feel of the low cut model, it makes me feel abit more free and it reminds me of the good times with the Hypervenom 1. #unisportlife

Jay I would choose the DF version for more lock down, keep up the good work.
I have had both and there both amazing it's really down to personal preference most comfortable boot on the market
I'm gonna get myself a pair of low cut model but have to wait for the new colorway first.
I never had a shoe with dynamic fit because they were to expensive. On the one hand I would like to test the DF version of the boots but on the other hand I think I would choose the low cut version because they have no handicap and I wear low cut boots my whole life.

I'd pick the low cut so that there would be less distractions in the heel, as in your review you mentioned there was some slight rubbing causing discomfort

My favoirite hypervenom is the very first one the green boot. It reminds me of the 2014 World Cup and Neymar doing a rainbow flick over someone's head and I love that 2014 atmosphere
Ive tried both high cut and low cut from unisport and i think the low cut gives more freedom for the upper part of the foot. With that said i'd like the low cut boots, they looks FIRE!
low cut Harry loved the hypervenom one and Sam liked the hypervenom 2 love the low cut so much
I think I'd pick the high cut version because (even though I know it is very minimal) of the ankle support you get, since I broke my leg twice and dislocated my ankle I've been quite careful not to hurt my self any more.

Yeah I have not had the low cut version yet but I had the phantom 2 highcut outdoor and I got blisters in them every once in a while and now I have the indoor phantom 3 df and they r super comfortable but I have the low cut phantom 3 coming soon and I am going to do a review on my channel once I get them so u can check it out if u want!

Hey Unisport, I'm getting new boots and I've narrowed it down to the magista 2 and the superfly 5. I'm a right winger and do a lot of crossing and dribbling, I also do a fair amount of shooting. Which boot do you recommend?
Low-cut.. love doing stepovers and feel the low cut boot can give me more flexibility when sprinting and dribbling

I would go with the low cut because it's got a classic silhouette about it. I reminds me of one of my favorites of all time, the Hypervenom 1!
I would choose the Lowcut Nike Hypervenom 3 because it's the first ever lowcut flyknit boot and it looks amazing!!
I would really love the low cut model becuase I have had my beloved first gen Hypervenom Phantoms for so long that they have started to rip and get holes in them haha. I think this is the right time for me to let go of my old pairs and see what the new flyknit low cut model has offer! #UNISPORTLIFE

I would choose the standard Phantom 3 because the midcut models I've noticed a teensy bit difficult to put on and would require some getting used to. Awesome review Jay!
I would choose the low cut version of the Hypervenom because I absolutely love flyknit uppers, but they set me on a rampage because of the blisters I get from the dynamic fit models that I have bought. I would love to finally try out flyknit without the collar!
I would wear the Hypervenom 3 because I wore the first generation Hypervenom and it would bring back all of the great memories of sick goals that I scored.

right now I'm wearing an ankle brace for injury recovery, but hope not to be wearing it much longer...if I were to get the high cut boot, would there be enough room for an ankle brace???
the dynamic fit as they improved it and it provides better lockdown and most of all it looks cooler

I would choose the hypervenom 3 simply because i absolutely loved the hypervenom 1 and this boot brings back all the good memories, when the hypervenom 1 disappeared no boot could satisfy me the way that the hypervenom 1 did but now it looks like it might have changed.
I would go with the Phantom 3. Simply because it is cheaper and i feel the boot as my foot. It is that light! I have never had a boot that great

I'd chose the high top boot, because I love the flynit models from nike. I just love how they rap around your ankle and give you that feeling of stability. I would love to get a pair of Hypervenoms because I think this a real evolotion👍🏼
It is material around your ankle it does not give u ankle support Its just there for look and felling

I like the high cut because it helps you turn better in difficulty angles protects the ankles and they are pretty much the same

These boots have really grown on me, whether it's the high cut or the low cut I don't really mind

The Nike hypervenom 3 df the flyknit looks more flawlessly made. Along with more striking pods giving me more chances to get a better strike on the ball. The collar which is giving to offer more lockdown and support to avoid slippage. All these factors will help anyone play better and have the advantage.
