CHEAP vs EXPENSIVE Nike Tiempo Legend 7 explained - which to buy?

- Today, JayMike shares his football boot knowledge about the new Nike Tiempo and what the difference is between the most expensive variant, The Nike Tiempo Legend 7, the midrange alternative, the Nike Tiempo Legacy 3, and all the way down to the budget option - the Nike Tiempo Ligera 4! So, if want to know all about the newest Nike Tiempo - and you want to grap yourself a pair, but you don’t know if you want to break the bank and go for The Nike Tiempo Legend 7, then this video is for you.
The Nike Tiempo Legend 7 is the first Tiempo boot ever to feature Flyknit - which is on all the Nike Football silos. The Nike Tiempo Legend 7 is made of two main components - the Flyknit in the heel and midfoot and the leather forefoot. Leather is still the main component on the Nike Tiempo Legend 7 and on the forefoot, Legend 7 sports a k-leather upper which has been welded together with a foam skeleton to avoid using stitches and thus keeping the leather soft. The thing that really sets the Nike Tiempo Legend 7 apart from older versions of the football boot and other leather football boots in general is the weight! At only 194 grams it’s one of the lightest football boots on the market. And it’s still leather! Now the pleasure of getting all of that will of course cost you a bit of dough, but despite getting a Flyknit upper, the Nike Tiempo Legend 7 is still ‘only’ 200 EURO.
The Nike Tiempo Legacy 3 will set you back 140 EURO, but it’s not far from big brother in terms of quality. The forefoot is actually very similar to the high end model with the kangaroo leather on top of the foam skeleton also featuring Flywire cables. The Nike Tiempo Legacy 3 is a step down in the tech on the boot in other areas but weighing just 5 grams more at 199, the Nike Tiempo Legacy 3 is a very respectable football boot.
The last boot in the line is the Nike Tiempo Ligera 5 and while the drop in quality is a lot bigger than from Legend to Legacy, it’s pretty good value for money at 70 EURO. What you get is a calf leather upper, and while there’s no foam skeleton, there are foam pods to mimic the effect of the Legend and Legacy. The Nike Tiempo Ligera 5 also falls short in other areas compared to the more expensive variations, but again, if you don’t have a pool full of money, it’s a very solid leather boot for the price

Unisport the tiempo 4 is a underated value has lockdown that some cheap boots dont have and no stitching is good

I have the futsal version of the tiempo ligera 4 and its so good for your touch and shooting even though its cheaper...
On a budget, legacy really seems like a decent shot, it even has k-leather like the legend only downside would be the tounque...
i bought the Tiempo from new fast AF pack i got the pro FG version and it is absolutely amazing completely worth the $170 aud

excited about the legacy to be honest. I bought two pairs of legend 6 and had the leather begin to separate after a couple matches so I bought the legacy 2 and was thrilled to find a similar feel with the calf skin. excited that the legacy is using kangaroo but hoping the durability isn't an issue!

Jay, the lagacy is numberd 3 because they were intruduced with the Legend V... Earlyer take down models were called the NIKE TIEMPO NATURAL AND THE NIKE TIEMPO MYSTIC... This is the 3rd generation of the Legacy and 4th of the Ligera... A boot nerd like You should know these kind of things ;) Most value for money are the Legacys... Hihg quality leather, good performance... Cheers !
+SKALU I'm a little offended you'd assume I don't know 😂🤔 My point is that it's not exactly logical to have three different generation numbers in one silo. It's been the problem with the Legend 6 as well. Not everyone know their boots well (and thumbs up for the knowledge btw) and while they can't call any 'new' silo name '7' for obvious reasons, it'll still make sense to have some sort of uniformity to the takedown model numbering. /Jay

Hey Unisport so I need some help here, I need new boots before next season.I have had predators, Evopowers and nitrocharges and I think Puma is the way to go. I have wide feet and im not really sure if im flat footed too but my question is that if Evotouch are as good as Evopowers in terms of fit? Powers were very comfortable and I want to try Touch.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a take down model when you can get on-sale top end models for around $100
I honestly hate that the legend version isn't made in my size! or any hi end boot for that matter. I hate being a small girl in my 20's lol.
