Today I reacted to another Band-Maid performance!
This song definitely seems hard to perform and they did it effortlessly and amazingly! I am excited to hear more from them so all the Maidac's out there please leave suggestions in the comments ^^

They played 26 songs in this concert, and Puzzle was the 19th song. The concert was a kick-off for their 10th anniversary year.
They are currently touring the US (Detroit on May 24th and 2 festivals, Columbus and St. Louis, before they return to Japan).
Btw, "Memorable" is a beautiful ballad if you are interested in a slower song by them.
Oh wow, that's actually crazy! I would like to see them in concert if I get the chance some day :) Also thank you for the recommendation, I'm interested in what their slower songs would be like!

@@jordi-grace02 For slower songs, anything from their acoustic set, but I think Forward (acoustic) would maybe showcase the most of what you're looking for.
Kanami writes the main melody, then sends it to MISA the bassist and Akane the drummer for their input. She also send the vocal melody to Miku and Saiki for them to work on the lyrics. Miku does write the majority of the lyrics for their songs, but not all. Miku also works with the Ladies and with outside designers to design their uniforms, or as they call them their "Battle Armor/Uniform".

@@jordi-grace02 Since their 4th release, they have mostly written, arranged and produced their own music. They do on occasion reply on outside writers and producers, such as 4of the 13 songs from their 4th release (Just Bring It) they used outside writers, as they didn't have enough ready material, and they have used trusted writers a few other times. But 99% of their music is written completely by them, recorded, arranged and produced by them.
You did such a good reaction and review of Saiki and her vocal prowess. As much as she’s admired, I still think she deserves even more credit. (Air capacity alone)
If only for your own enjoyment, try to find the 2018 Zepp Tokyo acoustic version of this song. Just Kanami on acoustic and Saiki’s pure, emotional vocals.

Misa and Akane went karaoke 🎤 one night and tried to aong their own songs lol. They said it was difficult to pull off. Saiki is an extraordinary singer and frontwoman

If you're looking for a drum solo from Akane, Freedom live is your best choice.
Saiki's breath control is incredible. There are quite a few songs where it doesn't seem like she has a chance to breathe at all. So, it only makes sense she is a master of the Sun Breathing technique, Hinokami Kagura. She is the unseen Hashira.

@@jordi-grace02 other slow songs are available, About Us, Memorable, Wonderland, Page, Start Over, Page, At The Drop Of A Hat and Endless Story which unsurprisingly is the show closer on their current tour with a fan favourite sing-a-long made for arenas. Endless Story even made Akane ( The drummer) cry through most of the song during their final show of last years tour in Chicago.
@@edwardallen4051 I like Endless Story as a closer after No God as the big finale. Endless Story is a great pseudo encore/farewell song.

Great reaction, each member in this band are top level musicians and the lead guitarist, Kanami, writes all the songs, then sends it to each member to compose their parts. There is no ego in this band, they all support each other.

Puzzle is one my favorite Band-Maid songs... Kanami just goes off. It's beautiful!

Yeah Band Maid is so great..I am also recomending Manners/Blackhole live. You get to see two very different sides of the band👍 great reaction. So genuine😀 you should check out a band called Gacharic Spin. All female japanese band. So skilled and Crazy. Check out the song I wish I by them👍

MISA!!! MISA!!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃 the Live version is my all time #3 Band-Maid favorite. Moratorium Live is my #2 and Don't You Tell Me Live in my #1 because of the extended play into the middle of the song. The "conversation " between MISA and Kanami is always awesome to watch. Play Live from 2020 has an extended intro that has Miku joining MISA and Kanami with Miku holding her own in a e way "group chat " with Akane 🥁 keeping those 3 moving along 🤙🏽
OMG how could i ever disagree with any of those.🤗 And if anyone can find & wants to react to the pro shot "Turn Me On" with my fave ever Mincho solo then that would be awesome too :)

They're touring the US right now. I just saw them last Sunday in Nashville. You can see by the video they are great. But being there in person is insane. They have a huge stage presence.
What a beautiful wall of sound; hard rock at its very best. And then those vocal harmonies - Saiki and Miku really are an impressive duo.

Saiki (lead vocals) needs great breath control for this song. She sings a rapid flow of words non-stop. She is also a singer dancer -- and part time model. Saiki and the drummer practice dancing as both have a great sense of rhythm. They have even done some fun dancing on stage during a break in a concert.
I would suggest you react to 'Blooming' the official MV next. Saiki's fastest lyrics and a great guitar solo by kanami, p.s. it's also my favourite !
You should check out their song Play live it started out as an instrumental but Saiki (lead vocals) liked it so much she asked to write lyrics so they did. If you want a drum solo you can Akane (the drummer) in all her glory in the song Freedom live
I first heard "Puzzle" in 2017. What is different is Miku (red flower) on guitar. She is the founder of the band(2013)and Spokes Pigeon but did not play the guitar. After putting the band together 2 things came up during practice. One Miku's voice was too soft for style of music she wanted and they needed another guitar to have a fuller sound. So Miku went to her agency for a singer. The agency said they had someone but didn't think she would put up with Miku nor would she go for the maid costumes. So they tricked Saiki by not telling what the stage costumes were other than they were Cool. The day before their first performance Miku appeared with the Maid costumes. It was a great in day in Rock History - Saiki did not walk out!!
As to the second guitar, Miku said she would learn the guitar if Kanami would be her sensei. One the great things about being a fan for the last 6 years is watching Miku's skills improve over the years to the point she can sing and play at the same time. Not easy to do.
If you want to hear Miku and her high voice, I recommend the Sayonakidori acoustic OMV on their channel.

Definately watch FREEDOM live version for the drum solo. And since you have an eye for fashion, you should check out this Band Maid cover band called BAND MAIKO. They did a great cover of BM's Secret My Lips. Their version is called Secret Maiko Lips, it would be a great double reaction if you do BM first and then Band Maiko for the the contrast. Enjoy!
Great reaction!!!!!! If you really want to be blown away by musicianship I would suggest "LOVEBITES" (Holy War) or "NEMOPHILA" (Dissension) or any of these two bands songs. You will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorite songs. A tragedy about love for a married man. They play like 24 or 25 songs in a show. Saiki takes a break for a handful while Miku sings lead or they play an instrumental. I've seen them live and Saiki doesn't weaken. She has good technique and keeps the energy up for two hours. Saiki's studio work, of course, is also excellent. Check out the Blooming MV. For some involved vocal arrangements, check out the live performance of Manners and Black Hole.
