purpose of spot welding for batteries is to PREVENT overheating (when they, for example, soldered with tin battery is overheating and taking damage from it). at this video you can see how DO NOT PREVENT overheating. spot welding should be performed with short and hard touches, one in attempt, and battery should left to cool down for a while. IMHO.
I totally agree, this device definitely heats up batteries too much 1v is totally not enough for those thin wires. + Using cheap spot welding timer makes things a lot easier and safer One that I made a long time ago has 1.4v with really thick wires directly coming from transformer. And It still needs to have 7x20ms time, which is a lot in my opinion. You need to have 2-5v voltage (with 1200w transformer) with dual pulse control to have it make proper welds on batteries.

I cannot understand the output connection. It is not parrallel nor series. It is a wrong connection that is why the current output is very small. There are two transformers and could have easily handled eveen 1/8 welding electrode.
Little Devil, I noticed that the secondary windings are crossed (the left transformer's left side wire to the left post and the right transformer's left wire to the right post). I believe that this would create an out of phase condition weakening the effect of the AC sine wave. If you switch the secondary winding on one of the transformer to the other post (both left secondary wires to left post) you will have both the transformers in phase, more than doubling the speed and strength of the weld.
If you had wired the 2 transformers in series then it would act as one transformer having only one sine wave with double the voltage and half the wattage coming out. You would still have to pay attention to the wring connections to have the desired voltage. With 2 transformers in parallel you have 2 sine waves to deal with. If the windings or the connections of 2 AC transformer are wired different then the peak (+ voltage) and the trough (- voltage) of the AC current are not the same at the same time (in phase). Even the directions of the windings can have an effect. The further out of phase (out of alignment one sine wave is to the other) the more one wave cancels out the other. If the out of phase sine wave (the cosine) is 180 degrees out of phase than the result can be a complete cancellation of each other. Remember that transformers that appear to be the same (from the same manufacturers with the same specs) will still have some variances.
I just reviewed the video and noticed at time line 1:56 (paused) that the wires to the secondary windings are also crossed. Since both the wires to the primary and the secondary are crossed the effect is canceled out. This would make the 2 transformers seem to be wire correctly in a parallel fashion. How ever, this still leaves the magnetic flux flowing the opposite directions in the transformers. The primary windings should be wound the same in both transformers, but the AC input is wired to opposing tabs, leaving the flux flowing in the opposite directions within the transformers. If the flux was flowing the same directions it would improve the end results.
@@Naqshbandi1112 Wire cross-sectional area, its actually 25mm² though. Useful to know, since the amount of current the wire is able to carry is closely related to this number (although electrons are mostly conducted along the surface of the copper and so the number of strands is also important).

It's a good idea to put two of them in parallel. : There is a current transformer ratio, and the ratio of the number of times the primary winding to the secondary winding represents the current ratio. A secondary voltage of about 2v is sufficient, but increasing the number of turns increases the voltage but decreases the current. In the case of MOT and microwave oven transformer, 2 times is the best, and 3 times will reduce to 66%. When two transformers are connected in parallel, the voltage and current will be sufficient.
