Imagine if a Volkswagen crafter had this amount of bhp. Even it had 300bhp stock with twin turbo on making 600bhp. I do not know how the mechanical side of it but I love to see a twin turbo or triple turbo on a vw crafter. Either as a combustion or triple turbo e crafter.
Some idiot tried to race me in one of these against my ancient dog carrying saab aero. Was mildly satisfying watching the disappointment on his face after he thought he had a chance 😂
What's the bill for the conversion? And what's stopping you from doing it to something slightly older? Those T6's are still fairly new and costly. Could I buy a T5 for example and spend the extra on the conversion and ditch the 100 bhp engine come with?
Did you ever work out mpg , as my derv,gets 29mpg around doors ,(3ton wit trailer) and 44 on arun . Yes i should use 6th gear more. Intrested to see mph on the petrol. Cheers.
I’ve been around Brands Hatch as co-driver in my mates 2.5l T5. 310bhp and we got 18mpg. Who cares what it does when you having fun! Long time dead I say!! :)
Far too small an engine for such a large vehicle, makes no sense at all. Bad fuel economy and a big lack of torque when compared to the top end diesel model, I’d want this model 25% cheaper than the equivalent diesel before I’d even consider it!
Great compromise considering Diesel is on the out. Change to Petrol or electric or get hammered by the new reg's coming. This is a great option for me, thanks for the review. LV you will get my business when my T32 '15 is up for replacement. cheers
@@andrecallison Worst bit is, the whole dieselgate is nothing but politics. My brother in law works in the racing world (race engineer) and he says it's all bollocks, the same people telling us diesel is bad are the same who were trying to sell us diesel in the first place.

Getting one in around 9 months! As I work local and do lots of short journeys petrol is the way to go! No more dpf or egr worries!

My t5.1 does 122mph I have had from it with a remap was expecting more from a 304bhp petrol compared to my 2.0 180 bhp diesel

California owners are reporting between 23 and 28 (if driven like a saint) in their petrols, which carry a bit of weight as standard.

I agree , I've a 2.0 tdi 180,been chipped .its fast until you put some weight in it . Needs 2.5 -3.0
