- In this video, with the help of a 3D printer, I will be making the missing keys for a Commodore 64 and also using it to build a game cartridge. But it's also my first time attempting 3D printing, so I'll see if ChatGPT can be helpful and provide valid guidance.

Your channel gives me early CZcams vibes where the content isn't completely professionalized and monitarized yet. Very refreshing, love it. Hope you can keep that vibe going for a bit longer
"monitarized"
I immediately thought this too
@@Throckmorton.Scribblemonger came here to say this

Being polite to the AI is the best way to ensure your survival during the upraising.
🤣I always say thank you for that reason

I've been saying thank you to google assistant for years for the same reason haha.

lol tru
An amazing person wearing an amazing T-Shirt. Thumbs up.
Totally amazing T-shirt, and more amazing woman!
She's got style.
I think so ❤
Jesus christ you people…Why tf did you bring her looks up? Do you do that on male tech channels? Total creeps….smh….
Just now using the brain .
Impressive first steps into 3D-printing. Well done!
Awesome shirt 😂👍🏼
You rule Sayaka - thank you for the video!
Knowing the right phases to let Chatgpt do it's work properly, is what she does amazingly.
Love younger people using new tech to fix old tech. :)
and in her second language
@@Rob-qu7ks As an italian, english is very hard for us to pronounce. Her english skills are impressive.
@@TheAtomoh Very impressive! My parents came from Italy to Australia so we spoke both English and Italian at home. My Italian is nowhere near as good as her English!
You made that look easy. I would love to get into 3-d printing.
That’s because using Prusa printers is very easy and intuitive 👍
After 5 years in 3D printing as hobby, my idea is: got good quality printer. (My first was Anet A8 and it was cheap and awfull)
Start with learning a 3D modeling software. That is where all the 3D printing fun begins … Once you get around in that software, get a nice printer like the Prusa or Bambu Lab, and you’ll be up and running in no time! Don’t let the cost scare you. You can earn that money back quite fast if you want.
@@MyTubeSVp Thanks for the advice, any recommended software for 3D modelling?
Aw your face lit up when the commodore turned on and when the game loaded. You did an excellent job modeling the cartridge, glad to see it worked out.
I'm not sure about bright carrots for function keys, but that cartridge repair is awesome! 🙂
I actually love that color😅🥕. Thanks!
Nice project! I had a Commodore 64 when it was new when I was a 10 year old kid. After my parents noticed I had an interest they signed me up for a computer class and got me an IBM XT a couple of years later and my fascination with technology has been with me ever since. The use of ChatGPT and 3D printing in your video about the C64 is an interesting aspect showing the great progression of technology.
Really enjoy how you communicate your thought processes clearly. *Also the use of ChatGPT in this format works surprisingly well!
Ive painted commodore plastic using a product called Krylon Fusion before. It's a good choice, if you can find the colour you need.
Thanks for the input!
You did an amazing job with the C64 cartridge!
Amazing job, love to see a young person restoring and enjoying retro kit like the C64.
Once again I'm truly impressed by not only your ability but also the interesting
and varied nature of your videos. Fabulous work from an intelligent and interesting lady.
Watching your cartridge design gradually emerge and the final print be so successful was impressive. Excellent job!
Thank you!
You are such a boss. One of my favorite channels on youtube. Top 3 for sure.
You did much much better than I did using Fusion 360 for the first time!
Nice to see that your got a good 3D printer.
I'm about to buy a 3d printer and I've been watching videos, I saw yours and I loved it, thanks very good content.
Prusa is a great suggestion 👍
Wow, amazing job!! To think you went from never having 3D printed anything or modeling, to being able to accurately recreate a cartridge like that. Very impressive. I've subbed, hope to see you do more of this :-)
Good way to use chatgpt. You printing went v well too.
Your whole project was wonderful.
I was amazed how detailed ChatGPT was in its responses to your detailed questions.
Great work!
Never heard of letraset or mask
great idea for a video. i'm still somewhat new to 3D printing and never tought of asking GPT to assist in any way. Your video gave me a bunch of ideas, grazie mille!
Good! Nice to see enthusiasm what I had 4 decades ago.
My first computer. My dad took me to buy it one day and the rest was history, as they say. Learned to program on that baby.
Great video! Also great to see ChatGPT used in such a way.
Great video, as always! Keep up the good work :)
That was amazing, well done 🙂
Thanks for showing how one new toolset (gen ai) can help us learn another new toolset (part modeling and printing).
Awesome stuff, great to see old tech being kept alive using new tech :)
Nicely done! I think is brilliant to use ChatGPT for help. Thanks for sharing this.
a commondore 64!, o shit so nostalgic. Very interesting work. The making process of the cardtrige was very well done. You should print the R2-D40 figure, it should be your channel mascot.
Very impressed with the accuracy of that Prusa!
you learn new skills fast, I 3D print so I know how hard it is to get right so well done, I'm impressed. This was an awesome project
Such a cool t-shirt you are wearing! Also very neat project with the C64. Growing up one of my friends had one and I remember playing BattleTech and Bubble Bobble on it. Nostalgic fun!
You did really good for your first time using the 3D modeling software! Very cool, and very instructional. Thank you.
You are genius! I could not understand fusion 360 at all!
Thank you for this easy-to-follow beginner's guide.
nice video! I loved your t-shirt and your face when the game worked
Wow. Your video is so fascinating and informative. Excellent presentation.
I think the orange colour for the function keys is actually a nice touch and the slightly different colour gives the project character, it shows that the machine has been fixed up in an endearing way. If it was a perfect replacement rather than a perfectly functional imperfect one it wouldn't really have much character to show the history of the machine, but a perfectly functional yet imperfect repair in that the parts don't perfectly match the originals in appearance leaves the machine seems to keep a mark on the machine's history to show that the machine has been well used and loved (kind of similar in the way that bodge wires and glue do). So I like little repairs like this that involve fashioning up new parts creatively to get the machines working.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! I agree, I also think that the orange color adds a special touch to the project :)
I recently watched the first 6 Star Wars movies for the first time and I'm convinced R2-D2 is the true star in Star Wars :P
Another awesome Saya vid!
Dude, your videos are amazing!
You have a lot of talent, I love your videos
You're so committed for the content in your channel 🖤
This video is super interesting and teaches you a lot!
The endless nights I spent copying those c64 games. It's when my piracy addiction started. We had about a dozen bulletin boards with every game on it for people to spend downloading at 1200bps. I miss those days.
Very cool keycap designs! Bravo!
Commodore 64 just like your grandparents didn't we all ( the oldies among us) started with that lovely 64k computer
Feel proud for this young lady
Cool. Miss my C64.
This is awesome, nice work Saya!
It's a very inspiring video! You are very skilled and I think we should have much more girls in the maker space !
Excellent job. Very impressed!
Nicely done. Keep it up.
Another very well made video. Bravo!
Don't be afraid to experiment! Really like your channel!
Nice video. Everyone of your videos take me back to my childhood. Awesome shirt!
Love those keycaps, wish i had a keyboard with em. Good Job.
It’s great to see you using ChatGPT for help. If you are not aware, you can tap and hold on the round chat button to prevent the AI from interrupting you before you are done talking. It makes it so much easier to get out your question without having to talk continuously.
Che dire Sayaka... I'm impressed!
3D printing con ChatGPT... non c'è proprio limite alla creatività e alla fantasia. Brava
Great job on the cartridge model with detail on the ridges around the label-I'd have been tempted to skip that and leave it plain.
Thank you for the video and interesting project. I have been looking for an excuse to get a 3D printer and have told my wife it is not a matter of if we get one but when.
Great channel and keep it up! This will easily get 100K subscribers. And… love the 8 bit music!
Sure a great video. I leaned so much. Thank you!
glad to find your channel. great content!
Love the Shirt, R2-D40 LOL, amazing.
You have superhuman skills.
I would like to see you play games on the C64 🤓👍🏼
Awesome project!
Amazing and Great Content . Deffo Smart Person
the fact she said HI to chatgpt 😁
Wow! You learned a 3-D software faster than I did! I learned Blender. Good job! 🙂
Well, I've only learned the basics for now; I still have a lot to improve. Any advice is much appreciated!
@@Sayakas_Digital_Attic You did very good! The only advice that I would give and I also hear others give is that when starting with 3-D software, start with simple objects. A game cartridge was a perfect beginning - basically all lines and no fancy curves. Some people try to create a steam railroad locomotive as their first model and get discouraged very fast! Oh, and practice, practice, practice! 😄
How fast things have changed. This Prusa is actually affordable for hobbyists and electronic labs.
Maybe this is late advice, but for printing precise shapes without visible layer lines, I like resin printing. You do need to rinse and post-cure your parts after printing, but they come out much better (and are still easily paintable if you want a different color). Even if you go with a very complete initial setup, with automatic wash and cure station, you can get started for under $500. On a budget, you can use the sun to cure, and a pickle jar to rinse, and should be able to get started around $300.
Thanks for the input!
I like your videos a lot! I don't watch them all, but I stay subscribed and drop a like from time to time. You should make shorts too! These long videos are awesome, and when I work on electronics I come back and watch the whole thing, but most of the time I don't have that long to sit and watch. Anyways, cool stuff, bro.
I want a 3D printer. It's amazing how much detail can be designed. I think you'll also need the ability to manipulate like Sayaka.
That’s because using Prusa printers is very easy and intuitive 👍
It makes me so happy to see when the younger generation is interested in the technology many of us grew up with. Are you currently in college or plan to go to college?
Enjoying the content!
Love the part where you used primer and varnish ;)
The plural of advice is advice, not advices. However, advices is more charming.
I don't disagree, but considering English is not one of the easier languages to learn, coupled with the fact that main-stream media in english speaking countries is terrible when it comes to pluralizing words (such as using "peoples" and "supports" in a news segment) & pronouciation, I'd say this host is speaking the language well. In fact, she is speaking English better than some English-only speaking people I know.
Those new orange function keys look actually quite nice on the breadbin C64 :)
And that's coming from someone who usually keeps his machines stock looking if possible.
Great !
Thank You !
Not bad... well done!
Super interesting. Very nice.
I think you did an outstanding job. Is there anything you can't do? I use SEM plastic paints along with XXX adhesion promoter.
Love the video, love the T-shirt.
Love the T-shirt. Want one!
I love that T-shirt
Keep up the excellent work you are doing!!! By the way did you upload somewhere your stl for the C64 cartridge?
Great video! I'm very impressed you designed your own C64 cartridge shell as one of your first prints! Have you uploaded the STL to printables or thingaverse? I'm sure there are lots of people that would use it.
No, I haven't uploaded them yet, but I was thinking of doing so. Thanks for the suggestion
Wow, your design skills are awesome! You're a smart cookie. I like your shirt again, too! Not as good as Goonies, but unique.
Great video! Keep up the good work!
Cool video. I want to get a 3D printer, would be really useful for making odds and sods for projects.
please keep the videos coming! thanks!
It was my dream to do something like this. It's great.😃😃👍
3d printing looks very good👍👍 enjoyable video
I had no idea you could use ChatGPT to assist with 3D modelling like this!
