    Grading difference between Moon and Kilter is insane. Given an equal angle of 40° I have never climbed 7a on the Moon, but have flashed 7b on the Kilter.

    • @tefutakato8126
      @tefutakato8126 Před 11 měsíci +11

      Ye kilter is about a number grade softer. 8B kilter is about 7B/+ moon most of the time

    • @lucaa4480
      @lucaa4480 Před 11 měsíci +2

      Well i think it depends, kilter is harder when you change the angle, for example a 7a at 60° is harder than a 7a at 40°. Also for me in italy is not so common to have kilterboard, so maybe when you try it for like 1 session you try the most repeated problem on it, so of course those problem are easier than others. Those are my thoughts, but yes the few times i tried it it felt easier compared to the moonboard

      @lucaa4480 Před 11 měsíci +7

      @@tefutakato8126 ahaha no way, i tried it like a 3 times but a 7b on the moonboard is like a 7c on the kilter in my opinion

    Moonboard if you want to train everything all at once and you're focused on outdoor climbing. Kilter if you want to have fun and get a shoulder workout. Probably the Moon if you're looking for a homewall and don't want to spend $10-20k USD on a board.

    • @TheRightish

      @@hunter-tm2kl it depends on which one you get. IIRC the 7x10 is under 10k but the massive ones are like 30-40k. The 7x10 still costs nearly as much as two Moonboards though...

    personally i prefer the moonboard just because the style is a lot more fun for me, even though the grading is definitely harder. the kilter board seems to be focused more on big reaches, and as a 5'5 climber, those reaches become very difficult and are never very fun.

  • @ensar6803
    @ensar6803 Před 11 měsíci +3

    I am a huge fan of both.
    - Kilterboard holds are amazing.
    - climbing is soft but you can push yourself more with harder grades.
    - think them a full grade less than written.
    - Kilterboard is so much more developed than Moonboard(techwise)
    - kilterboard more fun for me.
    Moonboard has better community., because its older. gives more satisfaction when you climb.
    but still if I had a chance to own one, would straight go for Kilterboard.
    thanks for the Survey
