In this video, I try out a top performing team from the very first Global Challenge featuring a duo that has been quickly rising in popularity: Abomasnow and Iron Bundle! Iron Bundle can easily set up Aurora Veil, enabling attackers like Life Orb Abomasnow and Choice Band Ting Lu to deal massive amounts of damage. The team also features Vivillon, which is used for Friend Guard and Pollen Puff. It's the perfect partner for Ting Lu as it is immune to Earthquake!

Congrats on the sponsorship! Iâve used Nord before, and itâs a solid VPN.
SPONSORS! Keep 'em coming!
congrats Aaron!
So happy to see Aaron finally getting sponsored for his amazing content
@Hunter you really upset he spoiled the sponsors da hell man đ
I was once possessed by a spirit and built an Abomasnow and tera-ice body press Ting Lu team. Unfortunately the spirit was not very good at VGC and the team was terrible.
its one of those that seems super good on paper, but not in execution. body press avalugg does deal monsterous damage tho. if its a physical move he will walk it off. but his special is horrific
Haha, I feel like that spirit has visited me a couple of times as well.
I was possessed by a spirit once and tried to run Kyogre next to chargabug (battery is like power spot but I liked how kyo covered bugâs weaknesses and I actually even had 4 move slot syndrome with bug, wanting, twave, electroweb, stringshot, bugbite, skitersmack and protect) and araquanid (entrainment water bubble) but the spirit that possessed me made me forget everything about vgc (like how urshifu broke protect, and you cant fakeout or sucker punch in psychic terrain) including that Im absolutely no good at it.
I am so happy to see Vivillon. It has always been my favourite last evolution of the "basic bugs" but like most of them, never really saw any play. It is so nice to see it finally have its niche!
I deduct points for this team for not having one of the more unique patterns on Vivillon. Otherwise its cool! (Someone mentioned Polar pattern to match snow!)
It wasn't until Reg D that any other pattern was legal in VGC format! I know this from working forever to get a shiny ocean viv w the right tera, IVs, EVs, and moves only to find out he (as well as any other mom-standard pattern) was illegal đą
Vivillon is so underrated.
That mon fucking sucks bro lol
You misspelled "Better Butterfree" đŹ
Phantom force on Ape is very neat. I used snow in my first GC and it went hard. Was only able to play day 1 and went 13-2. Abomasnow is so good into a lot of the common cores.
I love snow teams theyâre so much fun! I canât wait for Alolan Ninetales to return. Also my OCD really wished that Vivillon was the Polar variant so it matches the snow theme
I was disappointed by the lack of a pattern on Vivillon too, I love your idea of matching the pattern to the team's theme!
FINALLY, a sponsor. How sick, congrats Aaron! So close to 200k, too. Its been awesome watching your channel grow over the last year or so :)
Hello Aaron! I finally got to master ball this morning which was massive and you were a big part in helping out with the road to ranked videos. Keep up the awesome content!
Congrats on the sponsor!! I love how the mons that abomasnow is being paired with are constantly shifting each regulation
I love how the first time he clocked Hydro Pump it missed. Some things never change.
Great video and congrats on sponsorship~ I've been playing around with this for awhile; I run into issues against Iron Moth and the Rock Slide Sand duo (Ttar + Lycanroc). So basically spread moves, as you pointed out. The type weaknesses in this team is also insane. Fire, Fighting, Rock, Bug, Flying, Fairy. Sure you could Tera, but no defensive Tera can salvage SIX weaknesses.. imo.
Grats on the sponsorship!!! đ
Wow, never thought I would see Vivillon used in vgc. It makes me happy to see many different Pokémon get different have different niches like the Dachsbun and Chi-yu combo.
OMG CONGRATS CYBERTRON! You and Wolfe are the ones that got me back into VGC and I love seeing yall thrive
Having the last move in the video be Vivillon getting a game-ending KO with Pollen Puff is incredible.
Haven't played violet in a bit possibly because I was losing every game I played but the craziest team I fought had a jigglypuff... and some other very uh interesting pokemon
Vivillon is so cool, I'm hoping we get another 'mon with similar gimmick to its unique regional patterned wings in the future. It feels like Gamefreak toned that feature down with Oricorio and Alcremie specifically, which is understandable if they want to make every alternate forms available in the game by default.
Im running a lycanrock flareon team as my first ever time climbing ladder. Its actually working very, very well.
I cooked up a team for GC II but ran out of time to get it in-game, so I ended up with Roseli Annihilape with Close Combat. It rlly put in work
Nice video as always i faced in casuals a Vivillon one time, did not expecteded to see it so many times in your queue at all, very nice to see meta changes like that, also congrats on the sponsor bro you deserved that
I remember this team from the GC! The aurora veil caught me off guard initially but luckily i was running a pretty off-meta team that happened to match up extremely well into snow
Had difficulty sleeping so I started playing some Pokémon and trained myself with some of my teams in unranked. This guy called "Mark" pulls up with THIS exact set. He played really well and I couldn't really counter his Bundle well. The fun thing was that when I went on keep battling online, Mark kept showing up. In the end we fought 3 times but I lost all 3 of them lol. Wherever you are Mark, GGs.
didnât expect to see Vivillon rise in the meta!
I think the freeze status condition needs a rework. There are no moves that freeze consistently enough for you to rely on freezing in a battle. When it does happen, it is too powerful.
I liked the version in Legends Arceus. It was basically burn, but it halved special attack instead. If they did that, they could increase the freeze chance on moves as well as create some moves that are guaranteed freeze. It would also be a nice buff to ice types that don't get enough love.
this was so much fun to watch lol, vivillon and abomasnow is great
Sponsor! Gg your videos have been great quality all the way through, hope you keep getting sponsors.
Youâre also a huge influence of the meta rn, if not the biggest influencer.
Dude! You are the best, I always find some good teams to build and go to mastery rank each new season. Keep up the good job!
Snow is one of my favorite archetypes, glad to see it pick up in use. Cetitan is one of my favorites this gen, and this team gives me some ideas on how to build around him
I have a half snow team and my Cetitan is Life Orb with Icicle Crash (I run it over Spinner because my team is also half Psy spam and I don't want to destroy my own terrain), Liquidation, Protect and Heavy Slam. Outspeeding a Flutter with Slush Rush and ohkoing it with Heavy Slam brings me great joy.
omg im in tears (positive), that sitrus chien-pao. OK SO i was feelin a lil goofy with one of my teams. it uses a combo youve featured before, chien-pao and barraskewda. however i was curious how AV would work on chien-pao, since barraskewda had the sash. turns out, with poison tera, some bulk, and AV, its kinda a monster. i went with ice spinner, sucker punch, sacred sword, and psychic fangs. ice spinner for terrain, sucker punch for prio since you arent max speed, sacred sword cause its good and psychic fangs to break thru screens and catch all the other poison teras (and some fighting types) off guard. the one thing of note is you cant use psychic fangs on dark types, such as grim, the most common screen setter, so you run into some issues where you cant actually click psychic fangs to break screens cause they've lead grim/chien-pao (or ting-lu, etc) for example. also since you arent max speed, tailwind support feels nice. anywho back to vid, it was since seeing nonsash chien-pao is all, haha.
The Iron Bundle/Abomasnow combo is really powerful; I'm surprised it isn't a bigger part of the meta.
Wow, cool Vivillon use! Thanks for sharing this team c:
Vivillon is my favorite bug so Iâm super happy itâs apart of a really good team like this!!
I also tried this team a few days ago. It's so well constructed and had a lot fun using it.
This team is so cool. Iâve been building this week & having fun with oricorio dance shenanigans.
Initially I was unsure how I felt about the ruin pokemon but as the meta has developed they have made me realize more pokemon are viable due to them & I love that.
Vivillon is so slept on. đŠ
Okay so I tried this team a bit today and went 8-1 with it on ladder in master ball. Super fun team and surprisingly versatile as well. Vivillon OP!!!
I saw this man play in a tourney on the stream I was so stoked he won too!!
Woah Aaron congrats on the sponser!
man watching this at 1:00 in the morning is a great way to start the day
My thought of this team is if you want to be physical bulky this pro
Noooooo whyyyyy I was gonna bring snow to portland and it was gonna be quirky and cool and no one would prep for it nooooooo
Interesting aspect of having some really centralizing mons is that you see some weirdo mons that happen to work well with them and/or perform against them
Edit: Iâm surprised you changed the title the original was pointing out some really interesting aspects of the team
Aaron deserves all the sponsors, already clicked the link
Anyone remembers Vivillion's signature move "powder"? I wonder why they got rid of it?
I don't know how, but me and Calyx were in sync with this Iron Bundle set. A few months ago I made an ice team staring Bundle and Abomasnow. But I too went defensively. I knew his set looked familiar. So I pulled up my team on Showdown and sure nuff. We have the same tera, same item, same moves the only difference is the spread. Which isn't really much different. Timid 68 HP / 4 Def / 148 SpA / 156 SpD / 132 Spe. I do like his spread a little more. Bundle hits harder. I did find my blizzard to be a little lackluster. I retired the team and never used it again, but it's really dope to see something so similar gain such success. That's what Pokemon is all about. I was Paul and Calyx was Ash.
Abomasnow is really on the rise, I'm playing two Abomasnow teams on showdown it's so much fun
Just went up a conniving little....person....who used this team but swapped everything around. The Abomasnow had Veil, and they added Encore to Bundle. Was infruating, I was like, "ha, you think I don't watch CybertronVGC?!" Oh well :P lost hard
Such a cool team comp! Any increased usage of snow is fine by me.
Yo. The moment I saw the thumbnail I knew itâs gonna be that safeguard tailwind friend guard vivillon team! This team caught me sooooo off guard recently! Met it in ranked battles a couple of times. Fun team to battle against too! đ
Always nice to start my morning with a cybertron video
when the pokemon battle was cancelled, u chuckled
Hey Aaron, now is not the time for three uploads. I am great ball 9 and need to focus on my finals and not on trying to get ultra ball. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good word.
Qotd: Eviolite Jigglypuff with stockpile and wish...i ignored it seeing it couldnt do damage and it stalled me out đ
What is tthe tool used for damage calcs? Sometimes I would like to use it to help make an Ice team with Ice tera Annihilape *.*
I swear GameFreak gave Ting-Lu the most eldrich horror cry of all the treasures of ruin
QOTD: I'm gonna toot my own horm; I'm running a sandstorm team with bronzong and slither wing that works *really* well against Palance teams.
I feel like the team is very solid at this point but unfortunately I'm not a very consistent player x_x
QOTD: I can't think of one that happened lately but I do remember years ago where there was a Klinklang + Ampharos team where they'd use Plus and Minus to increase the other's stats.
Congrats Aaron !!! Well deserved
I dont really play vgc so i dontbhave any wild teams but i fo love seeing these kinda wild teams
I have had this fantasy where I meet Aaron and Wolfe and I tell Aaron, dude I love that you donât have ads in your videos ( kind of a joke against Wolfe) but now I wonât be able to do that đ
Interesting fantasy, why do I always think fantasy has to be sexual scenarios, but I guess that isnât the case
@@chenshilongsun7602 maybe âfantasyâ makes it sound more than it is, but I guess I just call conversations in my head âfantasy
YEAH! MY MAN FINALLY GOT A SPONSORSHIP!!!
*Hears Vivion and Ting-Lu*
No. NOOOOOO. THATS SUCH A FUN COMBO!!! Even more fun with Friend Guard
Another amazing Showcase đ Thank you Aaron Cybertron đ
Congrats on the sponsor Mr. Tron!
you had me at "snow".
Was literally just building a team with Vivillion and now people have started using it too, ain't that my luck.
I like aurora veil on iron bundle but Iâm just so used to using encore on it now itâs too good not to use haha also I opt for ice shard on chien pow ⊠I one hit a garchomp with ice shard was insane lol
Congratulationsđ„ł! Its amazing how you've grown as a youtuber, and now you have such a big company sponsoring you! Have a good one!
This video literally made me feel cold đ
So happy for sponsorship
You have to wonder if hydro pump is secretly like 40% accurate. đ
The three crits in a row that game đ©
QotD; I faced Weakness Policy Annihilape with Shadow Sneak Gardevoir along with Chien Pao
I didn't know fire types could even get frozen :O
Hey I'm using a Vivilion snow team this series! Vivilion is so criminally underused. I use mine as a tailwind setter.
Get that sponsorship money Aaron! Proud of you
The crit on your own Bundle was so painful to witness ngl
QOTD: Dudunsparce + Spiritomb
Tera Psychic Weakness Policy Sparce with Rattled, T1 they went for Sneak into Sparce and then Boomburst
Is the sparce max speed max spA?
@@pettyjones I don't know their spreads for sure, as I only fought against them on Showdown ladder, but it would make sense for them to be that way yeah
that third game could only happen to aaron cybertron zheng
Iâm watching the annihilape/mausehold team video and to answer your QOTD: Rap Snitches by MF Doom
Talking of off-meta strats I really wannaâ make both forms of Zoroark on 1 team for the mind games
Any chance youâre gonna make it to the portland regionals?
Big sponsorship W đâ€
I think you hit just as many fissures in this video as hydro pump
You used ice shard with the terrain up?!
I never slept on vivlion
I'm still disappointed Vivillion doesn't have all its different patterns in S/V! I was so excited to trade and hatch eggs from different countries only to find out they're all the same pattern. :/
I sat through that whole ad and didnât fast forward. So stoked for you!
Loved the video as always. Youâre the đ
9:22
Not dead weight, fainted weightđ
the self crit on iron bundle is so unfortunate
Keep up the content! It's awesome.
They should've already changed the freeze status condition and made it the special attack burn, freezing is too broken and Ice would actually become a defensive type without adding resistances
YouÂŽre so lucky, the odds always plays in your favor, right now 3 or 4 leaf storm from lurantis in a single battle, and in the same turn will o wisp and leaf storms misses, XD,that makes me sometimes lose the the desire to continue playing vg
wow, friend guard vivillon is insane what the hec
HE'S SPONSERED! HE'S OFFICIAL!!! NEXT 200K!!
What do you think the success rate of the main core of these teams (Ting-Lu/Vivillon/Abomasnow/Bundle) would be in a OTS BO3 environment? Also, grants on the sponsor; get that Nord bread!
looks neat
When it rains it pours đđđđđđ
It's not a team but i found gastrodon blizzard, idk it seemed wild to me
