- Throughout all the newest additions added to Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver, the Pokeathlon Dome was probably the most unique. There are a bunch of medals that you can obtain, but how easily can you do it with the worst team in the game? Today we're going to find out how easily you can collect every Pokeathlon Medal in Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver. I actually went out, caught 3 Magikarp, and made them into Medalist Pokemon because I was hoping he'd give me a reward if I did so.
He didn't :(

For the block break event, if you hit the cracks on the blocks accurately, you will do double the damage and if you do it consistently, it will boost your pokemon's motivation and make him stronger.
For the Lamp jump, you have to drag from below the pokemon and no ON the pokemon.
For ring drop, you pretty much had it.
For the football minigame, camping is a good strat but it takes an insane amount of luck to do it with feebas.

nah man i just send a fast pokemon with decent power to rush the ball into the goal. i usually get over 10 but have gotten 15 goals in a game.
@@MrGhosta5 yeah with power and speed and some skill, it is easier to rush it. However I was talking about the challenge, where he doesn't have those. My record I believe was 23 when I got all golden balls and had 1 pokemon being an iron wall that I managed to counter every single ball coming back to their side and scored.

If you have a high power Pokémon it can push the ball through other Pokémon directly into a goal. It is insane

Block break and autoclicker is broken (I think I got the gold, but not close to the trophy)
Definitely one of the main line's best minigames. I was unbeatable in the speed contests, the three Electrode powering the Rocket hideout were my team.

This is super duper hard as basically completing this means you have to complete almost the whole national pokedex not to mention the pokeradar and swarm and honey tree encounters
Don't forget Feebas is also available in D/P and it's even harder to find than R/S

The Pokeathlon is one of my favorite features ever introduced in Pokemon. I've spent countless hours trying to get as many pokemon with all the medals and breaking all the records. I love seeing a youtuber giving this feature some attention!

@@bulbasaur1534 whenever you asks them to jump they just stick to the ground, and if you're doing hurdles race they simply go under the hurdles, so you can get the speed bonus
I'm sure others have pointed this out already, but the reason Feebas's Jump Stat cannot be reduced any lower than 2 Stars is due to the fact that such a reduction would make it impossible in-game for Feebas to jump at all. In fact, the only 2 Pokemon capable of possessing a Jump Stat of 1 Star are Diglett and Dugtrio, which would make winning in the Jump Pokeathlon events even more challenging than Feebas.
Also, if you see this, and in case you get the urge to try for a better score in the Block Smash event, tapping on the X-shaped cracks in the blocks will allow your Pokemon to instantly break the block, plus additional blocks dependent on its Power Stat. I doubt it'd make for too much of a better score, since most of your time gets eaten up by switches if you don't clear the whole stack and then switch, but it's definitely possible to get a passable score even with Feebas... Not that I would know from experience, as I've not tried to do so, lol

@@JohnstoneYT Imo it would be better if you don't keep the premiere function ^^ I follow the german youtube community a lot (now you have the reason for my bad english skills lmao) and i know that many users, who uses this function got hated by their fans ^^ Maybe you could use the community function instead. Dunno if thats a good idea, but it would be better imo :)
Or you could use both together. For example you announce a new video through the community function 24 hrs before you release it and make a 12 hrs premiere.

If you tap the cracks on block break, you can break the block with only one hit, and consecutive breaks like that increase your mon's stamina.

This is basically a mini version of pokemon stadium minigames. I'm so happy I bought HG 10 years ago, people said it was childish at the time (I was 16), now the same people ask me to loan the game as it is so expensive to get hold of one.

This was fun to watch. I'm currently trying to get my shiny Eevee to earn some trophies and medals in the Pokeathlon. He's going to be a ribbon master but I'm kind of sick of the Gen 4 Battle Tower so the Pokeathlon is a nice little distraction for the time being.
This might be weird but this was probably my favorite part of the game as a kid lol. I’m so happy to see someone else appreciate it and bring light to it!
I remember unlocking the secret trophy room for doing everything possible in the pokeathlon. I loved that mode to death.
In Block Break, there is small fractures in the block. If you tap in those, the blocks almost always break in one hit.
I remember I loved, and was almost obsessed with the Pokéathalon as a child.
I accidentally got all medals on my Lucia which kinda dominated all categories, and decided to be funny by getting a jump medal on a Diglett, which doesn’t jump in general, and actually digs under the hurdles.

A challenge for you: How easily can you get every medal in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 (Spoiler at the worst you need a year if you don't cheat)
So now he's gotten all the B2W2 medals. Within one month.
I admire your bravery of doing this with only Feebas but you´re just scratching the Pokeathlon´s surface, every room has its own trophy, Crown or awards that can be earned depending on many things, you´ll have to use 200 different species, participate in the Pokeathlon more tan 100 times, win every event at least 50 times, that´s the real challenge. It took me months to do it but i´m sure you could do it in much less, if you decide to take THAT challenge, i would be gladly impressed, Good luck.

During block break you can hit the “T” on the stone and it insta kills the current stone. If you weren’t aware, May help with that challenge

Tip for Block Smash: Tapping the tiny little cracks in the blocks a few times in a row will allow you to crack multiple blocks at a time. This might make the challenge just a bit easier :)

I managed to 100% the Pokéathlon once in my SoulSilver back in the Days because I was going for those sweet Black Trainerpass and 100%ed the Game. And to be honest... it took me almost 3 months of playing Daily to get this Sh*t done.
(3 months for only the 100% Pokéathlon that is. 100% of SoulSilver took me about a year and a half. With the Battle Tower took most of the Time. even more then completing the National-Dex.)

There are small cracks in the bricks in block smash, when you hit those you will break several blocks at once, that way you could have gotten a much higher score
Having smashed out a Soul Silver playthrough this week, just getting the 2,500 points for a thunder stone had me close to ending it all. This is true dedication

Is there any proof that you finished this when you bring your pokemon to the next generation(s)? Bc it changes the range of pokemon I would want to do the ribbon challenge with. I love the idea to have a special pokemon with a lot of ribbons. It's like a shiny, but you deserve it and it's not something you get through luck.
Brick break has a lil feature: hit the cracks on the bricks to break them faster and break enough in a row to enable what is essentially the super star of Pokemon

The reason you can't decrease jump to 1 star is because 1-star jump rating is Diglett/Dugtrio exclusive to reflect the fact they're incapable of jumping.
I don't know if it makes much difference with Feebas but if you tap the crack on the blocks in Block Break, you'll break it faster or in some cases instantly.

Man I remember it took a vary long, long, long time to get every single thing in the Pokeathlon. The hardest is the block break had difficulties getting the small cracks.

An easier way to win in goal roll is to only use one of the pokemon as an attacker with the others defending the goal. The CPUs can rarely hit your goal while you can hit their goal more easily since you only focus on one pokemon
Goal Roll was my best event but I also come from a heavy soccer background so maybe that helped with my team spacing

Fyi there's another course you can unlock by getting the national pokedex and unlocking the friendship room which is unfortunately impossible with the lowest stat pokemon called the supreme cup

When I get to hgss in my ribbon challenge I'm gonna load my pokemon up with these medals too, just another accomplishment!
I was horrible at all of these except the Speed and Stamina Challenges, so I just did those over and over and over to gain enough points to buy an evolutionary stone (usually took about 6 or 7 replays). I then found out, after spending literally hours grinding for both a Water Stone and a Shiny Stone, that I couldn't even *get* a Shiny Stone until after I had gotten the National Pokédex, so I was forced to use a Togetic against Bruno (because I had a Vaporeon instead of an Espeon). Its moveset was Yawn, Sweet Kiss, Ancient Power, and Fly, so it wasn't really very good against anything (base 40 Attack and Speed).
