    The woodruff key shouldn't be so tight of a fit. A lite sanding on a flat surface so it slips in by hand or light tap.

  • @svnspell6709
    @svnspell6709 Před rokem

    Love the animation but i dont understand the last part in the video the SO4-2 anion goes to the anode and gives the electron then where does the SO4 go after giving 2e- and why will the copper atom give the electrons due to current,isnt it the SO4-2that gives off its electron, or is it the copper giving electrons,if yes why do we need the SO4-2 ions ? Or generally why do we need a salt solution of the metal that is gonna be used for electroplating? Because it's the copper in anode that gives e- and dissolves in solution then goes to cathode to gain that electron again, becomes neutral and turn into the solid state and finally plating is done on the iron,maybe the copper ion of CuSO4 electrolyte will help but what's the use of SO4-2 can you please explain??

    • @ScienceWorld1
      @ScienceWorld1  Před rokem

      After losing electron on anode SO4-- become SO4 radical, after that SO4 reacts with copper anode and becomes CuSO4, but in water it can not exist as single molecules instead of that CuSO4 will split into Cu+ +, SO4 − − and dissolve in water. So it can be concluded that, during electrolysis of copper sulfate with copper electrodes, copper is deposited on cathode and same amount of copper is removed from anode.

  • @dn612

    Does it have to be on metal? Or can it be on other surfaces??

    Sir why do we use only the salt of the plating metal in the water?

    • @jaakkoraty267
      @jaakkoraty267 Před 3 měsíci

      Cations, (pos electrons) go to cathode. Thus we need ions

    why does the electrolyte solution remains blue sir?

    • @ScienceWorld1
      @ScienceWorld1  Před rokem +1

      Solutions of Copper++ are usually blue. The color of the solution remains blue as long as there are copper ions in the solution.
