  • I'm Scott Strosahl, and today I'm solving the #Duotrigordle for Friday, April 8th.
Duotrigordle is like #wordle times 32! You have to solve thirty two words simultaneously, and each guess applies to all thirty two words.

This was definitely fun to watch and very entertaining. It does look like the more words you have to guess it does seem easier. I'm glad you only do them eight at a time, that did make it a bit more challenging. That being said, I'd still tune in and watch. Never thought that I would actually enjoy watching word puzzles and the different variances.

From a user experience standpoint I would love it if the solved word would fade away and then the rest slide over. But I understand it would add a whole bunch of code to what is a much simpler game. So my best suggestions is to keep a delay on the word that got solved before removing it. Hopefully the dev of the game sees this.

I've found for Wordle, Quordle, Duotrigordle, and Squardle that STARE, POUND, and CLIMB are good starting words. Many times I change it up though, but I often find words that include these. Sometimes I'll use a word with C, H, and M like -UNCH instead of C, M, and B in CLIMB, but this usually is when I've used other letter combos on the first two words where the U isn't used.

Kilordle exists. A thousand words, but if any words have had all letters identified across all guesses it's considered solved. (Means this can be completed in less than a thousand attempts, my best is 59.) My standard opening sequence for a multi-word puzzle (Octordle to Duotrigordle anyway) is TAMED, PORCH, FINKS, BULGY.

  • @chinareds54
    @chinareds54 Před 2 lety

I have a 3 word opening (same as my Wordle opening) but I always try to start guessing earlier if I can. I've achieved a 33 before. I've found that the best way to compare how well you've done on these multiple-wordle types is to define a "par" for each turn and then compare how you did. So since 4 is usually the average in Wordle, I set 4 as par for the first solve, 5 for the second, etc, so a "par" on duotrigordle would be solving every turn from 4-35. A score of 33 with your first solve on turn 2 would be 64 under par, which is the best that can be reasonably hoped for, without lucking into a solve on your opening word.

So my strat for this is to guess:
    CRATE
    WHISK
BOUND, or essentially any 3 words that encompass all the vowels and have no letter overlaps.
Then, I scroll through the list and search for any board with 5 green letters, or maybe 4 greens and 1 yellow and clear them easily.
After that it is pretty much process of elimination, you tackle all the easy words that you are certain have no sort of ambiguities. Also be very observant if you have all 5 letters in a single board [in any order] because you can form the word directly.
Repeat the process until you get to around 3-4 boards left. You then check each individual board for which letters they have and dont have and then solve it like a regular Wordle but with a lot of clues
Generally the ones that are harder will be the letters with double/triple repeats but you will know what they are eventually, and especially those that use Z/Q/X are quite uncommon but can still appear. Overall its a game of trying and trying again! It takes a while but it is very fun.
If you want to you can even try 64-rdle!

  • @TichShowers

People may think that this worldle type is very hard because you can only make 5 mistakes, but I find that it is actually very easy. This is because every time you get a word correct, it also counts as a guess on every other Wordle you are playing. This means that you get at most 36 words worth of information to solve a word.

Ngl, Duotrigordle is easy if you use 4 words using 20 different letters.
You can use for exemple VENUS, AMPLY, KIGHT, CROWD.
