Imagine appearing in this horrible place •An annoying buzzing sound that just grows louder and louder in your head. •A yellow walpaper that just burns more and more your eyes making it tired from it's color. •An awful smell that makes you breath in an unconfortable rhythm. And as you begin to lose your sense of time, lose your sanity, lose most your memories and the person who you really are, you just align your mind for a brief moment and think: "What even is this, is this how am I going to die? Confused and not only alone, but the most isolated I've ever been? I didn't even knew this was possible before." and then you see SHREK TWERKING.
Honestly these are all unironically horrifying. The liminality of the backrooms plays into it. The obvious joking existence of characters like Shrek in the backrooms feels so uncannily out of place that it makes you feel like maybe it isnt a joke. Maybe it really is part of what makes the backrooms so horrifying- the out-of-place-ness of it all. Hope that made some sense.

This would really be horrifying. You No-clip into the backrooms stranded for god knows how long thinking about all the things you heard about this place and not having anyone around to be with. The backrooms really encapsulates the feeling of kenopsia. It’s a really desolate place that would horrify anyone who stays in there for at least an hour. Not only do you No-clip though, in this case you have a camera to film you’re horrors so you can look back on them. But will you actually be able to? What if you die before looking at the film or even having a chance to meet someone else. You know all about the different factions staying almost anywhere habitable but that begs the question, why haven’t you seen anyone? This gets more and more obvious as you continue. “There must be an entity somewhere, that’s the only answer,” you think to yourself. Suddenly, your filled with a horrible but almost happy shock as you hear music coming from a room. Civilization might be just around the corner and you turn to see something horrible. “Is, is that shrek!” You think. Surely not. But it’s true. You watch for a while when suddenly he turns to run at you full speed and the only thing left for you to do is run. All your nightmares are coming true but you didn’t expect them to come true like this. You look back and see that he’s gaining on you and you give up hope of escaping. You’re dead A pretty simple and neat concept don’t you think?
For those who don’t know how he got there, he was riding with princess Fiona on the dragon until shrek fell of the dragon and came in the backroomrs, stay safe and don’t go to the backrooms!
This gives all of us an idea. There needs to be a Shrek horror movie. Where we need to experience how the villages felt when they saw a real life Ogre in person.

I love to think that Shrek has lost all hope. He developed mental suffering and forgot how to form sentences after he no-clipped into the Backrooms, but the “What are you doing at my swamp!” is a meme and he never forgets it. He uses the Boombox and his epic dance moves as a way of stress relieving and hiding the tragic pain, while also trying to maintain his sanity as long as possible. When he sees the player, he gets shocked and confused, but he absolutely doesn’t care and tries to get help from the player as soon as possible. As a sign of confusion and wanting to stop the human and get help, he screams “What are you doing at my swamp!” He also starts to chase him as fast possible, hinting that he is really desperate and doesn’t want too lose him.
Shriek is a highly dangerous entity, run immediately if you see/come in contact with him, he resides deep in level zero, and is VERY territorial about his property. All other entities who have came in contact with shrek have been dismembered and brutally killed, once again do not come in contact with him.

You only startled him by sneaking up on him, and your onion meter must’ve been low at the time(don’t ask, I’ve only heard him talk about it before. I don’t know what exactly it is.) It’s canon that Shrek is typically docile in the back rooms, as I found my run in with him to be very peaceful, no lie.
Someone somewhere needs to do one with the Dark trooper phase 1 from dark forces. It would just fit very well. Also a Kell Dragon would work too. Jedi Knight 2 actually had an area that was like a liminal space where it was all dark and creepy and there's this one room full of kell dragons. Though I would want the creepy PS1 image of it and not the mandolorian rendition of it. Might be hard to pull off capturing the original look of it while making it work within the space.

Someone somewhere needs to do one with the Dark trooper phase 1 from dark forces. It would just fit very well. Also a Kell Dragon would work too. Jedi Knight 2 actually had an area that was like a liminal space where it was all dark and creepy and there's this one room full of kell dragons.
Though I would want the creepy PS1 image of it and not the mandolorian rendition of it. Might be hard to pull off capturing the original look of it while making it work within the space.
