I take Magnesium Malate and I find this type works for me as I have stomach issues due to having Celiac Disease.
I found by trial and error that the other types of magnesium cause MORE stomach issues for me.

Thank you Dr.Janine, it is so true about all these types of magnesium. I take magnesium citrate when I have issues with bowel movement, because I have ileocecal valve issues with the opening function. I have to consume a lot of water though, it relaxes me, and one time it helped me with high blood pressure because of pain.
If I get Magnesium Bisglycinate would that help me when I encounter constipation?

I eat a lot of these everyday at work for fresh breath. I would love to know about them. I am wondering how bad they are for me. Thank you. Sue

I used to get terrible leg cramps. Got so bad the calf muscle was being ripped apart, turning to stone, turning to jelly, being ripped apart again, and those are not figurative words, very literal. I couldn't walk for days afterwards. Had to take time of work. Then I discovered magnesium, specifically Ionic magnesium. That works. I have tried pills, but they never seem to do it as the leg cramps return ever few weeks if I use pills. So now I just use Ionic.

@@doctorjanine Well, I'm actually looking at the label on my container of Natural Vitality's Calm Anti Stress fizzy drink mix and it says, "Magnesium carbonate and citric acid, when combined with water, create ionic magnesium citrate." so, apparently it is converted in that way to the citrate form. Not sure what the ionic part means exactly though.
