    Enjoyed your videos and seeing the wilderness in your part of the world.

      Thanks George. Would be interesting to get to Canada some day, you have no shortage of my kind of wilderness over there either.

    Show’s finally melting, hopefully we’ll see spring soon enough. Looks like a lovely overnight trip, always a treat to see these. Keep it up, and let’s blow past 10k!

      As much as I love proper snowy winter, it's once again such a treat to see spring coming through. Thanks for the support!

    Great video as normal, liked the idea of the tarp over the front to give that extra space and protection

      Thanks, I'll definitely experiment more with this setup.

    Nice video once again! That puncture is my worst nightmare on my trips and after watching this I will definitely be even more neurotic with my own pad.
    Also, I could not help but notice that your center pole has done some damage to the tip of your tipi. Been there… A simple fix for that is to slice a tennis ball in half and put that between the pole and the tent. It evens out the pressure nicely. I even attatched the ball half to the inside loop at the top with a string, so it is always there.
    Keep on rokka-ing!🐶🏕

      Thanks! Yeah I've been thinking about that tennis ball trick or something similar, but at the same time I'm also thinking that a tent which has been designed to work with a center pole should withstand it even without some additional tweaks by the end user.

      @@TaivalOutdoors true. I think that even Luxe making the tip of that center pole round instead of square would solve that problem, since it seems to be the 90 degree edges of the pole tip that are the problem.

    Hey, are you using some kind of pulling belt for the dog? Or do you attach the dog leash to your backpacks waist belt? Also, a video about dog gear would be nice!

      @TaivalOutdoors  Před 2 lety +4

      Hi, dog's leash (which is flexible) is attached with a carabiner to two elastic rope loops that I've tied to my waistbelt. I could do a video about that (and other dog stuff) in the future for sure!

    Just wondering. Is there any reason why you don't leave rokka free to wonder around? Is it's breed specially hard to call back? Or is it because over there in finland he could actually get into something dangerous? Asking from Chile :)

    • @TaivalOutdoors
      @TaivalOutdoors  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, no worries it's a fair question. Dogs aren't allowed to roam freely unless you own the land or have a land owner's permission. And even if I did, Alaskan Malamutes aren't guard dogs and Rokka would just sprint after the first rabbit or deer he sees 😁

      @@TaivalOutdoors :o oh! interesting regulation right there! rokka doesnt seem to mind tho.

      @@albertogarcien6752 Unfortunately everything is very strict and regulated over here.

    Nice vid and im sure that the 10K subs are coming sooner or later :) Sitten ihan kotimaalla kyssäriä, mulla on samat ajatukset ollu tuon minipeakXL kanssa että laittaa tarpista vähän lisää ja sehän näyttää toimivan mainiosti ! Teitkä jotain omaa patenttia niiden tuuletusaukkojen kanssa että ne pysyis paremmin auki ? Huomasin saman homman kuin sinä teltan esittelyvideollasi että ne on "väärin" neulottu kiinni jos ajattelee parasta mahdollista tuuletusta vai laitatko vaan risutikut siihen lisäksi avaamaan?

    • @TaivalOutdoors
      @TaivalOutdoors  Před 2 lety +1

      Tein vähän omaa, eli pidemmät "kepit" pitämään niitä auki. Oranssia kangasta, päät velcro one wrappia, sisällä metallihenkarin pätkä muistaakseni. Venyttää kunnolla luukut auki, eikä pääse värinsä ansiosta häviämään jos putoaa purkaessa maahan.

    Thanks for inspiration 👍 🏕️❄️🌲
    Just start packing tarp & hammock etc for our little outdoors; quick escape just for a day with one 6 years old nephew (he just loves beeing in forest)
