Honey wake up, there's a new Rockport video
Me and My GF today litearlly
@@RigsMusic you're a lucky man
I'm up Honey!!
@caseman wha? I guess I'm good? I'm just saying he's lucky to have his girlfriend enjoy same vids as him and stuff. Does being nice mark me as someone having troubles in life?
@caseman oh, okay
I'm so glad you kept this away from dirty industry. Water treatment facilities are supposed to be a positive for the environment and need somewhere to discharge clean water. Great location!
Be careful that the water tower at the treatment plant isn't going to be sitting on ground pollution, great video
True I didn't think of that lol
@@Timeister same with the water tanks!
Will water tanks ingest polluted water too?
@@Timeister Yes.
@@Timeister I once built a water tower next to a landfill, half of the citizens are sick and it took me so long to figure it out.
For when the time comes and you might need to move the treatment plant, don’t. Instead make a park(I know it sucks) but my hometown of Edmonton does something like that by having its waste water treatment facility in Goldbar Park.
I’d love to see how this city develops can’t wait for the downtown episode and I wonder where an airport would go with the difficult terrain
Some ideas for what is surrounding the water treatment plant. In Auckland our main water treatment plant is in Mangere and surrounded predominantly by farmland but there is nice coastal walking and biking path that has actually been developed and paid for by Watercare (the water body). There is also an old quarry nearby, that is now being filled with human fertilizer to return to the original shape of the mountain and then become a regional park. Also in Hamilton there is a cool mountain bike park on land just next to the water treatment facility, which you could link in with that coastal trail and the road.
who pooing in a field !?
Love the way that, we see the city at the start of the video, and then instantly we go weeeee goodbye city 😂 great to see that it is realisticly built in the fact that a city is not just a big cluster of buildings but a web that stretches sparsely outwards, with key infrastructure as rallying points (don't know if it's clear my English is not totaly bilingual lol but great video again ❤ !!)
with Node Controller I would recommend hitting the "make ends straight" button instead of fiddling around with the directions. Also in Intersection marking tool, after you clicked on the starting point of a line if you hold shift, the line is solid automatically
TheTimeister: "It took me 2 min"
Imperatur: "cheater."
^^
As someone who works at a water treatment plant, yours looks very similar to one and you did a great job! One thing is, they need a lot of energy so maybe place more wind turbines near it.
I’d think it’d be great to see a large park or nature reserve. I’ve always struggled to make them seem realistic in my worlds, so it’d great to see your take on one
YES I LOVE THIS SERIES
looks really good. i'd imagine this becoming a part of a larger power and water complex. i'd call it _ROPAW_

I normally struggle with a short attention span and finding something interesting to watch. I hop from one video to another looking for my next dopamine hit. But videos like this calm me down and can I watch these endlessly without ever getting bored or distracted. Amazing content!
Love the series! Made me start playing again!
If I were you I would add fences around not only the outskirts, but small buildings inside the area that would probably realistically be fenced out as well. I understand if not though.
Very cool! I like the idea of the retention ponds.
This looks so great with all the small stones, bushes and trees but what im missing are some benches, especially later in more civil areas people need places to sit down and do a break or some. this would also give the whole city a nicer vibe imo
Dude I love this series you’re so impressive!
I’ve been refreshing everyday waiting for a new Rockport video!!!
very excited to see, what you will do with the residential area. Especially that richer Beach section.
And I congratulate you, good job 👍
I need more. I’ve resorted to watching all your old cities now 😂
I think that underneath the port just north of the train station would be a good place for an industrial estate with lots of warehouses and stuff for storage
@Thetimister fun fact: Did you know that New zealand banned nuclear power and weapons.
Yes another one love this series
This series will be great to binge watch 😂
Great job!
Great video.
Just a tip for you with node controller on inclines like onramps/off-ramps.
Click on the middle nodes and select slope from the menu. It'll make the nodes so much smoother.
I really like that interchange ❤
I love your vids so much man only seen a couple but there so well made man
Great build btw 👍
I’ve always been interested in city skylines but I find it to complicated. I recently found your videos and I like them a lot! Keep up the good work.
Love your style, very chilled approach, maybe use slope tool on move it instead of page up/down make your life easier 😂
Looks terrific. I would just suggest doing a little research so that you do understand things like clarifying ponds (the concrete ponds), wetland treatment basins (the natural ponds next to the river), and sludge processing... Satellite photos of real facilities would be recommended, and I don't think it's necessary to include one of every asset to fill up the space. But it looks cool, so... Thanks for sharing!
If you put the water collection building (from disaster dlc) back to back it give a nice look to the water treatment area give it a look of clean water pools
Amazing, maybe you can place a firefighter heli department near your waste water treatment plant.
I can already tell that traffic is low in your priority list :D
Very nice!
New viewer here. Awesome videos. Would love to see (if you are building) a luxury housing area containing a Waterfall with access by metro and/or gondola.
Keep up the good work 👍
Same I'm a new viewer
great workTimeister!!
Make curves in the old town roads That would-be be more realistic
I just started playing CS2 and never played the first. Honestly the first looks more fun and easier to use
Btw, I feel like because of the game's slightly unrealistic logic, placing water tower right next to the waste treatment plants and industrial buildings could create problems.
Game treats both industrial buildings and treatment plants as source of ground contamination with waste, so therefore the water that would be sucked out of the ground by the water tower would became poisonous and could harm the citizens. For the look's sake you can just disconnect the water tower from the grid and it would be there just for esthetics.
And yes, even the ECO plants have contamination.
I may be wrong however, so feel free to correct me, but I felt like I needed to share that because I remember when I was playing before I always had problems when the water tower would be placed near or in the industrial zones, because of the waste and contamination.
I love this series please keep up the good work I think you maybe could add quays for the basins I don't really know if that's a good idea though oh well I'm looking forward to the next episode
This is some kind of dope to me idk
Extend the sea wall beyond the fences by the legths of one of the ponds.
nice!
Just found you and Im just so enyoing it.
Great videos, I'm also new. I hope you make some farmlands and another town or village something like that.
My take from this episode is that you really like trees.
I like your Videos❤❤❤
You should make fences around the water holes please
In the first episode you made chapters that were realy nice, would you be able to do that again? Great video
Nice video I hope I can be like you a gaming Content Creator. 😊
Would the floating water cleaners look good in those reservoirs?
Shit always has a happy face on the internet.
Any changes I would've made!?! I wouldn't even be able something half as that good.
Edit: I loved the vid too, keep making them!
niceeee
Hey, really nice port.
Could you add some ships at the docks?
hey mate, not sure if you wanted to add some realism to this part of your city. Those treatment ponds you've created are legally not supposed to be that close to your city's water source due to the likelihood of seepage through groundwater. Furthermore, if it rains there will be overflow into your river. Those ponds need to be more inland and have some kind of sealing. A commonly used seal is concrete
Nice video
Yessir 😂
hey, i really like your videos and wanted to download the same map. after a couple of hours trying to get the lighting and colorstuff right, it just wouldn’t work. i don’t know what i’m doing wrong. which settings/theme/lut/… are you using?
I'm not too sure about having trees not any shrubbery within the bounds of a treatment plant or close to any body of water in the plant in terms of realism at least.
Id love that water placement option in vanilla i.e. console 😢
Maybe you also build a campus area
hi i like yiur video
I'm asking you for one thing, make some part of the city like this "roundabout road" from NFSMW (it's hard for me to explain but if you look at the map from MW you'll know)
Where do you get all of those buildings?
Pls check the intersection road directions
Hello, I am a new follower, I would like to suggest if you allow me, to put the floor of the water treatment plant in concrete and put concrete walls on the walls of the fountains created?
What program is this
Can you name one of your towns or cities a reference from nfs most wanted
why didn't you build an actual water threatment plant? like have several basins with those floating water cleaning things. water being pumped from one basin into another, always getting a bit cleaner, until it is clean enough to be pumped back into a river/ocean. One could have the basins on different levels and instead of pumping into the next one, there could be a dam inbetween, so the whole water cleaning process creates some clean energy as well
Can someone tell me what mods he's using to paint concrete connecting buildings and what mod he's suing to "place building just right" so they don't snap against the roads?
No lights at the plant?
BRIGHT idea !
Hello! Watched a few of your episodes now and have heard you say you want to go for realistic… based on that goal of yours. I have a bit of an issue with all of the bushes and trees you have in your water treatment plant. I’m also a civil engineer. So, these process water, bushes and trees and shrubs and all that create debris that either has to be picked up or will more than likely get mixed into the water being processed. Not ideal for aeration and all the other processes needed at these facilities. Also, if you have landscaping, who is going to take care of it? The gov? Not likely. Whose gonna pay for maintenance ? Gov? Not likely. I’ve seen a few trees, like a cluster of trees or something manageable; but to have it allllll over is simply unrealistic. I hope you understand I’m not trying to be a jerk, it looks good! But I’ve heard you say a few times you’re going for realism and I’m sorry but this isn’t that.
At 16:20 you made the road go the wrong way

Hello
can you share save file please?
I WAS HERE AT 69,999 VIEWS
Noooooooo bring back long vids
when are you going to make the power supply area where it powers the citys electricity?
There's a powerplant in the port area 🙂
DONT PUT THE WATER TOWER NEXT TO THE POLLUTING BUILDINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just saw you do it around 7:10 and it made me panic
I'll fix it asap! 🙂
I like your videos but this is in no way a vanilla build. You are using way too many mods for this to be a proper vanilla build.
First
Damn, it's kinda boring to watch, because everything is built by mods so yeah... I miss Dunswell to be honest!
you tripping
New Dunswell episode coming soon! 🙂
@@Timeister Don't listen to him Tim, me and my gf love this series, only wish it could come out more often! We always watch it together with dinner and its the highlight of my day
