  • I spent the morning beach glass hunting on Lake Erie! The beach glass was plentiful and the state nature preserve was just beautiful! The beach also is loaded with rocks and driftwood. This is the first video of two trips to Lake Erie beaches. The Great Lakes do not disappoint!

    For to the past 3 years, I've been going to the beaches every weekend.. Lake Erie and Lake Ontario... It's addicting... But I also find wishing rocks, hag stones, slate and drift wood... And my very first time, I found a beach glass green marble.
    Happy hunting :)

      Yay! A marble! I screamed the first time I found one! Beachcombing is so addicting - there is nothing that I love more for relaxing and just being in the moment. Thanks for watching!

    I love finding quartz "balls" from Lake Michigan. That is a lot of glass in such a small amount of time. Exciting. I go mainly for glass and quartz and end up picking up lots of pretty rocks as well. Way more than I promise myself.

    Glad to see you back. I always pick up heart rocks. That little green neon bead looked like something on my husband's fishing lines and lures. The bloopers were fun. Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks Tina! I am so happy to be able to be back on the beach! I think you are right about the little green ball. I suspected fishing gear, but wasn't sure. Thank you for watching! 😊

    Hi. I am thrilled to be here. I visit my daughter and love visiting Lake Erie to go seaglassing. Always stuff at Headlands. Scrape your hand or a rock over the top and can always find colors. May be smaller. But always thrilling. Good luck. Enjoy.

      Wow - you have an eagle eye! There are two scenarios here - either I did see it and I just didn't film picking it up, or I completely missed it (which is probably the case!). That is why I like to keep my head down on the way up and back down the beach because I always seem to find more on my way back.😊

      LOL! Do you think that is glass? It looks like a rock to me, but it is very easy to miss glass unless it is green or blue! Where is home? Ohio?

      You should have seen my house! lol. I only have a small jar as of now, but going to Maine as you know...this could change! I have a secret place in Maine that has a LOT of glass! Also when we get to Florida... love my shells as well!😜😊Mostly I display them, but I did make a decorative mirror that turned out amazing with shells. My sister-in-law has it now.

    Hi there! I'm new to your channel. I've been watching random beach glass videos for a few months now. My best friend has me interested but I have yet to get out. I'm in Ohio, but the beaches are about an hour to two hour drive for me. I'm thinking of checking out that beach in Mentor, maybe early October.
    I'm curious if you've ever found and uranium/vaseline pieces. My friend has quite a few, and I never knew such a thing existed until she showed me that they glow in the dark.

    • @TravelingTreasureFinder
      @TravelingTreasureFinder  Pƙed 3 lety

      Oh yes, you should definitely try it. I have driven many hours to get to a beach 😜 You know, I knew that the uranium glass existed but I have never tried to see if they glow. Did you use a black light to make them glow?

    It's illegal to collect sea glass from any state park beach in the USA !

    • @TravelingTreasureFinder
      @TravelingTreasureFinder  Pƙed 10 měsĂci +1

      Thank you for your comment, but I disagree. I check each location that I hunt. According to the ohiodnr.gov, Headlands Beach offers unique beach glass hunting. There is no where on their site that it says anything about removing it being illegal. There are beaches that it is illegal to remove items such as stones or fossils or shells, and when that is the case, I photograph and discuss and then return what I found to the beach. I'm more likely to not keep what I find in many cases because I don't have the space to store collections. I collected more when I was younger, but not as much anymore.
