This is the problem with console games. When it came out and I saw that both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions were both still 30fps, I decided to wait a year for the PC version. And it wasn't even hard to run it in 60fps in 1080p. So I'm sure they could have on the enhanced consoles. But the devs seem to have no inclination to update most games. I got Crew 2 on PS4 to play with friends, instead of PC. I don't like racing games in 30fps. People have been asking the dev for ages, with their constant updates that add more premium crap, for a very simple option. Unlock framerate. on the PS5 in back compat it should easily hit the 60fps cap and run constantly like that. But no, they won't do it. Damn them. I wish more games had crossplay.

With regards to the age of the Tegra X1, and the power delivery of 5-15W... It is insane what we can achieve with such a device. It's just a shame that few games truly target 1080p/720p on the Switch. I mean... Mario Kart 8 and Captain Toad look incredible! both portable and docked. It just feels like modern engines like Unreal 4 and Unity has a lot of overhead with regards to the mobile nature of the Switch. The difference is that in hollow knight when you die, you feel like you got a little bit better, until you overcome the situation, since it's mostly a combat-driven game. It doesn't really happen with crash 4, since it's a platform-driven game. So, dying doesn't really mean the next time you try you will overcome the section that had killed you, what makes it frustrating as hell.

An interesting thing to note about the PS5 version that didn’t get mentioned in the video, unless I missed that part, is that not only it provides improvements in framerate, res and overall graphical detail as well as adaptive trigger support and faster loading times, but it also halves the file size. In fact, the PS4’s comes in at 45GB while the updated one is about 20GB, an improvement of more than 50%. No idea how they managed to make a presumably heavier file, considering all the improvements, to be less than half the size. The only thing missing is HDR support, at least as much as I could find out.

@OMEGALUL 123 i play about 30mins to 2 hours depending on how busy i am. But, You do know there is other joycon options to make it better? There is bigger 3rd party joycons you can buy that attach or attachments that attch to the actual joycons to make them more ergonomical, or you can play with the pro controller... you dont just have to use the joycons....

@OMEGALUL 123 I have average hands and I use the switch in handheld with next to no issues. Though I mostly use gyro so I don't use the right stick

I re brought the crash trilogy when it finally came to switch just because I'd rather have it in portable mode. I'll probably do the same with this but might wait for it to drop it price first, purely because I brought Crash 4 near it's release and haven't played it much so I'll give the PS5 upgrade ago first.

These are both impressive. I am just glad they didn't pull a Nintendo Gamecube and make all Game Cube game worlds micro in comparison to PS2 and XBox. Many games in the Cube were shrunk in gameplay and it was highly noticeable.

The GameCube optical discs offered significantly smaller storage capacity at 1.46GB compared to DVDs 4.7GB/8.5GB used in competing consoles. That's why content would have been cut, pre-rendered cutscenes would have been lower quality, and audio quality would have been reduced.
