- In this his video I will show you how I created practical effects for my stop motion animations.
Practical effects are visual effects used in filmmaking that use physical in camorra effects as opposed to computer generated imagery.

I was planning on making this video lot longer, but after writing the script I realized that the concept is very basic. This method of creating practical effects is not necessarily the best way to do it. It is just how I do it. I am constantly finding better ways of creating practical effects. For example, when I started animating this video, I realized that it made no difference if I drew colored marker on the paper effects. Up until this point I would always outline my paper effects with colored marker, but apparently it is impossible to tell the difference between a paper affect with marker and without marker! Anyway, the point is that this tutorial could quickly become outdated as I find better ways to create a practical effects. I hope you enjoy the video! - Zábava
The first scene can solo my entire channel 😭
True 😢
Same😢
U have a channel??
Same bruv
SAME
A lot of people have said it before, and I’m gonna say it again
This channel is extremely underrated. It needs more attention
Here here.
totally.
Yes
This is such a cool way of doing the effects! I didnt even notice it wasnt cgi
Thanks! I’m a big fan of your blender Animations, so it is really great to hear that from you! 😁
@@_Loft_Studios_ I don’t have a red coloured flashlight. Do you have any other tips?
Yes, paper is incredibly helpful! I use it quite often, too! (The slap at the beginning was personal 😢)
I didn’t realise you used practical effects for everything but I did know you used them a lot. They make your videos really stand out and made me actually try this technique out before you even posted this video lol
Love the tutorial man! I think I'll try this! Your practical affects look so good too!!!:D
Wow this is amazing, I guess I’d better get a multicolored flashlight now lol
@@ShaynixProductions Lol Yes very fancy
@@ScheerFilms lol
I have a normal, white flashlight, but I keep some colored foils I got from unpacking candies ;) Very helpful.
Yeah we better get saving
These kinds of videos you make are really cool, helpful, and entertaining! Definitely keep this up!
W tutorial, I tend to stay away from digital effects too. I just like the look of practical effects. This paper thing is pretty smart :)
ok that's actually insanely cool! the effect works so well for how easy it is to set up
This video sold your channel to the moon and back!!!! Its so so good and the effects are insanely good
That was amazing your effect's are outstanding!
Ok man that is sooo smart!!! I thought that there was no way you did the intro without digital effects but boy was I wrong!!!
Thank you sooo much!!
I was really curious about how you do those stuffs!
They look just so stunning…
You do the lighting so perfectly wow
Really good video!
Only thing is that you should leave a link to the flashlight in the description.
Thanks! I will put a link in the description.
That looks amazing! I do use lights too but i never thought it could look this good.
Never knew you could use paper and a torch, this will really help my stopmotions too! Thanks!
I’m loving these tutorial style videos!
My God you are a genius. Amazing work. I look forward to using your technique.
Awesome video. I've always just added digital effects, but that is an awesome way of making effects. Be interested in how you do some of the more complicated ones, like big explosions.
Thanks! I’ve never been very good at explosion FX 😅 I can never get it to look just right.
A really cool video just like the last one! I like these funny commentary videos and I hope you keep making them and making people laugh!
so inspiring, appreciate you sharing your tips with us! (please keep it up!)
So quick question...where do you find sound effects?
I don’t know if this guy does the same but I just search up say “Star Wars blaster sound effect” screen record that then add it in with either stop motion studio or capcut
I’m gonna try this when I get back into stop motion again. Very cool tutorial and very good animation at the start
I think more people should use this tactic because the flashlight helps add to the lighting showing extra detail in any neon objects this could also work with explosions just as long as it’s in the dark environment it’ll work
That was an awesomeish behind the scenes...I wondered how you did the magic.
Nice tutorial. The ‘intensity’ setting is called iso and controls the brightness while the shutter controls the amount of light coming in. This is very useful for various things. For example, if you want to do motion blur you’d turn up the shutter speed and turn down the iso ( I think I explained that to you on one of your streams once). I adapted this technique from both you and DankMotionsStudios5. Keep it up.
Thanks Rapid! I remember you were the first person to comment on my practical effects! At the time I had no idea what “practical effects” really meant. But I do now 😁
bro good jub, i love the first scene with all the red blaster fx!!
Keep it up
This is simply incredible, thanks for sharing!
THis is incredible! With just paper and a torch!!!
That is so smart and it looks so good
If you don’t want to use paper, the regular white bar piece works well, except for when it’s swinging..
Your animating is super!❤
thanks man great tutorial! i used this method and it works so well!
This was so helpful!
Ooooooh I may have to try this for my next light saber test! Save me so much time with effects XD
Great tutorial, and in just a little above a minute! Great information condensed to minimal time, that's how tutorial's should look like.
I just subscribed this is so useful thank you so much for making this video i really want to try to make lego stop motions cause its been a dream of mine
Always a pleasure to watch your videos !! Keep going !
Very creative. I love seeing innovative things!! Well done :)
Very useful I will use this in the future also very smooth animation some of the best I have seen/
That is actually ingenious 🤩
I like how the start was crazy and then he just came in and everyone just stopped😂
WHY IS THE LIGHTSABER HILT UPSIDE DOWN!!?!?!?!?!?!?
This is awesome, engaging and informative
you make the best tutorials imo
Your animation style reminds me of the lego movie. Which is a complement. (Even tho the lego movie is CGI). I'm subscribed. Ur vids r AWESOME! Keep it up!
This was an awesome tutorial. Lol the hilt at the end 😂
Ik
Thanks for the great vid I will do it definitely
This was so helpful, thanks 😊
This is exactly wut I needed ,thank you
why is the animation looks so good? I feel I'm watching the lego movie it has that clunky bu nice animation nice job
Great job! I Subscribed and Liked! 😄
The Christopher Nolan of stop motion (love your work btw)
Amazing video! I’ll maybe try it for new animations ;)
This is very cool!
Babe wake up, Loft Studios just posted
The cinematography is beautiful also the stopmotion is So hot
Dude this is sick
Amazing tutorial!
Another awesome and funny video!
You cannot convince me that this doesn’t look like the lego movie.
Imma try this out
Cool technique!
Very Useful!
Your a genius👏
Thanks for informing us...now I've learn a lot..because my stop motion is not lively as yours .thanks
This is sick bro
Cool pour se partage simple, mais il fallait y penser. 🤩👍
Amazing tutorial:D
You have inspired me
great video!
This is awsome
I like how the white paper reflects the light off the minifigures.
Bro knew what he was doing at the end 💀
Top Video ✨✨✨
You dropped your lego crown sir
So good
Thanks for cool tutorials! However, how do you deal with the situation that needs multiple lights? Should I use multiple flashes?
Yes, I have two flashlights.
“The whatever this is” is so true. Animators to this day are trying to figure out what it is
Practical effects look mad!
It's a really cool idea, but what do you do to make the paper not fall or bend from the lightsaber? And, for the blaster shots when they are on the air?
I use sticky tak to connect the light saber to the hilt and the blaster shots to the blasters.
Nice!
Great tutorial the comments at the end killed me 😂
How would you recommend using paper with stop motion studio pro? It really relies heavily on motion to make it look realistic and the lighting.
Amazing !!😅
With a £1.21 budget, this was helpful!
so, to make multiple colors (for example, two different colors of lightsabers) would that require two different corwd flashlights?
Practical effects gang rise up fr fr
Also, what’s your recommended brand of flashlight?
Homie a real one
Thats so dope! do you have a link to the flash light you use?
Thanks! I just put a link in the description.
also, how do you make the paper stand up? Paper naturally bends
Jeez that opening shot
Be aware, that if you adjust the "whatever this is" (its called ISO) to higher than like 400 your animations will have much more digital noise
I could try this but I’ll try using either white parts or transparent parts
"Your now a master at animating ok effects" lol
This is a great video! How do you keep the paper inside the light hilt do you used clay and what kind of paper do you used??
Are use sticky tack to stick the paper to the light saber. You can use card stock or regular paper. They both have their advantages. I prefer card stock 👍
@@_Loft_Studios_ alright thank you!!
Hey man thank you so much for this itll hep but i just need to ask one thing would paper not be too wobbely on the lego hilt
It is difficult. Card stock works best. Or you could use the plastic light saver piece and stick the paper to that.
Yeah thanks for the suggestions man that video is going to help me more than you know so thank you
Oh hey my comment is in this video
That’s kinda cool
I needed a few more comments to make that last joke at the end. So I figured the post would be a good way to get some 😁
