Jack that was incredible - I’d never thought Lego could express so much. I mean everything looked fantastic, and the twist was just crazy good. Plus the opening scene established this kinda different perspective than many of the star wars movies that was just so well thought out.
Stunning! This is truly a beautiful brickfilm that you can tell you put a lot of effort into! I especially love how you perfectly mixed 3D and practical animation. I feel like the cinematography could have gone more in depth at certain parts just to really bring out the emotion (but that's all my critisism). I really like how the story could easily fit into the bigger Star Wars story. You my man have inspired me a lot. I'm working on a brickfilm that will be similar in length to this one, so I think you just boosted me through a creative low I've been experiencing. Can't wait to see what's next from you!

This is honestly just amazing. This should be canon honestly, the amount of effort, the voice lines, the lights AND JUST THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU PUT INTO THIS, blows my mind. I could never do anything as good quality as this.

This was one of the best, no THE best brickfilm I have seen this month. I love the story you told, with minimal dialog! The cinematography , the lighting, animation were perfect! I like the Stormtrooper's animation and how it express them! The visual effects were very nicely blended with actual lego. And the Bob Marley music playing during the opening speeder drive was the cherry on the best ice cream sunday from Glin I have ever had!

This is just...I'm at a loss for words. There is just SO much work that went into this masterpiece of video, from the flawless cg elements to the incredible visual storytelling. The cinematography was the strongest aspect here, in that every shot was planned to perfection. Countless times I paused and rewatched frame by frame (like the slo-mos at 4:04 and 4:30 along with the lightsaber speeder slice at 4:50 that felt ripped straight from an anime) ESPECIALLY the chase scene. The dynamic motion was animated so well here, the sand rippling effect at 4:09 is simply amazing. And that ending...I don't remember being that captivated in a Star Wars product since rogue one. Storytelling at its finest!

Oh man I just keep revisiting this brickfilm every couple of months! This is a display of emotion and brilliant filmmaking like I've never seen before, and even the narrative storytelling in itself, with its jumps in the chronology of the story, is absolutely awe-inspiring. I can't wait for what this channel has in store for us next!

Woah great use of cinematography to tell the story, I liked how you teased the ending with the first frame. Really made me curious to see what the outcome of the battle would led to. It's interesting how the trooper just left without saying goodbye to his comrade understanding the truth about the empire. I loved how you used close ups, you used them with a very specific purpose. In the end this film was very well made and inspires me. Great job!

Alright, I know I'm late to this but WOW! This is genuinely one of if not the best Star Wars brickfilms I've ever seen. Great use of lighting, VFX, and sound design were all just fantastic! Great work man, you should be proud of yourself.
Beautiful! The mixture between practical effects and vfx worked really well and created giant landscapes. Your lighting is great, especially when it's out of focus. You managed to tell a story without much dialogue, you made engaging action scenes, you had good animation and you had stunning cinematography.

Oh man this is next level! I can really see all of the effort you put into this. First off the sound design and cinematography at the beginning was truly incredible like that shot of the stormtrooper helmet with the fire in the background 👌 it’s also awesome how you then instantly cut to a comedic style. The lighting throughout was top notch and I love how you used the camera to tell emotion with the stormtroopers. That speeder chase at the end was just beautiful I loved the very slight rumbling of the speeders and the background just looked so good. Also the scene where Kenobi let the speeder run through his lightsaber is perfect. Absolutely incredible job man can’t wait to see what you do next!!!

Wow! Outstanding work! I can see the 8 months of work payed off well, the shots here are very clean and all of the practical and digital effects work well together. The camera quality and shot compositions really made this stop motion work, you knew when to zoom in, when to back up, etc.

Absolutely phenomenal work. This is probably one of the best, if not the best brickfilms I have every seen. Any tips on how I can get to where you are in terms of sound design and storytelling?
Well, from a story perspective, I always start with a question. In this instance, it was, “what if two storm troopers encountered a Jedi.” From there, I just start thinking about cool ideas that could go along with it. Often times, when starting a project, I don’t even really know what it’s going to be about. It just sorta finds itself. To answer your other question about sound design, my strategy is to place myself into a scene, and imagine every single sound I might hear. In the desert, I thought about the sounds of sand shifting, and flowing across the ground. Wind in the air. Insects making noise. You get the idea. Thank you for the support!

@@StudioB45 typically, I will just search on CZcams for sounds that I want, and download them. I also use the CZcams Audio Library for tons of free sounds. I also record my own sounds.

Damn. The animation/VFX quality is obviously great - I can tell hundreds of hours must have gone into this 😊. But on top of that, you pulled off a very tidy story too - well paced in both the macro sense (i.e. plot, resolution, etc.) but also micro (e.g. shot duration). Just subscribed
