She went to the US years ago trying to make it internationally. Her manager in LA told her that she had to loose 20 pounds to be a star. She went home to Sweden and started singing in swedish instead. Too bad so many ppl are so shallow. I hope this will prove them wrong and that she will be an international star! I think she is beautiful and I dont see why she should loose any weight. She is gorgeous!

I think she is Beautiful... There has to be some sort of domino effect right after that performance???? People can't ignore this performance... It was exceptional. America loves live vocals and respects talent so she has the make up to take advantage of hopefully allot of interest (new and old) after this performance. :-)

I know im late to this, but did you notice the auroras in the sky while she sang? Husavic felt so honored by tune, theyve since adopted it as an anthem to the coastal city itself.
this was the highlight of the evening and to have it filmed in the town of Húsavik was epic and to see the northern lights behind her was the ice on the cake
It was epic. I was so drawn in by her I didn't notice the background haha. Just, rewatched it..... Awesome :-)

In response to your question as to why she hasn’t kept competing: 2017-18 was a turning point for her privately & professionally. She broke up with her fiancé (Danny) & it was painful! That was the point when she started writing in Swedish & kinda found her “style” that has skyrocketed her career IN SWEDEN. She’s EXTREMELY popular as an artist here (has won several awards) & Molly singing in Swedish is a match made in heaven!! Specifically, Molly has left the power ballads behind & sings lyric-driven pop songs now. Again, I need to stress that her popularity here is unprecedented so I understand that she’d want to ride that train & protect it. She says herself that she feels more connected to writing in Swedish than in English! Also, she recently stated that she’s lost her passion for Melodifestivalen & Eurovision lately, so that’s the reason I doubt that she’d participate any time soon. Most artists who participate here need it for the sake of their career but that’s not the case with Molly - she’s already VERY well established & was the first of many artists to abandon English song-writing for Swedish 🇸🇪 That being said, who knows - she could do both! 🤗
Hi Mathilda...thank you so so so so much for taking the time to write this....You have taught me allot. As I said in the video my knowledge and awareness of Molly comes from Melo only, so I need to catch up with her recent stuff. I like the sound of upbeat swedish songs!!!!!! Thank you Mathilde :-)
@@ShanesEurovisionReview Thanks! Yesterday she shared on the radio that she’s had MANY offers to do collabs since the Oscars. I’m excited to see what those may be!!! 🤩 Apparently these offers are a continuation of what she calls a ”Disney dream” - the Eurovision movie & the Oscars were the start of it 🤗 I’m hoping for a Eurovision appearance & even bigger things - now that she’s floored the whole world with her vocals, I’m not surprised AT ALL... 🤷🏻♀️😂
This time you can tell that the pronounciation in icelandic was better than in the movie. Im not icelandic but..i could just tell by the way she pronounced the name Húsavik and i know that Icelanders werent happy with her pronounciation the first time around. I would really like to know what icelanders think of her pronounciation this time.
Im swedish as well so im a bad judge of this, but it sounded more like icelandic i think..and it was as if she looked at the kids like " am i pronouncing it correctly now?" whilst smiling :D And them smiling back meant yes..hopefully? Icelanders? Anyone? :D

Haha...Hi Kenny. Ummmmm not as far as I am aware.....I did an DNA test a few years back and zero Scandinavian blood....but hey.....maybe hes not Scandinavian and isnt aware of it haha. I had to google him to see what he looks like now....obviously am aware of The Ark from Eurovision and that was a while ago....ummmmmm I guess there is similarities between us.....but most importantly by what I have just seen on Google images...I am taking this as a compliment haha....so thank you :-)

Hey Billy. Thank you for this. I'm new to this.... Only been doing it for a few weeks and I have already learnt so much from people's constructive criticism. Moving forward I will put the volume up as yes.... I just watcved back and I could have afforded turning up Molly's performance a bit higher. Thank you again for your comment.... Its really helpful. I agree with Bill on the volume but I also thought you did an excellent job. Loved the lead up to the song and Molly's previous songs playing as your were speaking about them. Keep up the great work!
I agree with her riding the train I love her Swedish songs so much but we need more English hits like Phoenix no-ones watching etc
I hope she really does have a line of new opportunities after this as she is so talents.... And that performance.... Wow!!!! :-)

Well that would be a winnersong for sure... even this shower curtain she's wearing is the most horrible dress i have ever seen. But anyway, this song gives me chills and it should have won the oscar.

I feel like the color mimics the northern lights that you can even see in the background so I quite liked it. Also it was probably freezing so she needs that coverage.

Would have loved it if they had provided Molly with a dialect coach so that the Icelandic part would be understandable and not just gibberish.
