As an Arsenal fan I was never confident when we played this Villa team, you had the pace with Ashley Young and Agbonlahor and then the physical strength with John Carew. The Midfield wasn’t too shabby either. Villa always caused us problems at the Emirates back then. This particular game you battered us. Could have been 4-0.
4th place from Arsenal in 2009-10? Arsenal finished 3rd that season, 5 points clear of 4th place and 11 points ahead of Villa in 6th. Clearly Arsenal deserved a Champions League place in 2009-10.
