Am 58 retiring next year but the thought of retirement gives me weakness. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you never imagined to happen. It’s so difficult for people who are retired and have no savings or loved ones to fall back on.

True, It has never been easier to understand how to build your money after retirement than it is right now with the inflation, when you may study and experience a completely variegated market passively by employing a successful portfolio-advisor. The impacts of the U.S. dollar's gain or fall on investments, in my opinion, are complex.

Even if you’re not skilled, it is still possible to hire one. I was a project manager and my personal portfolio of approximately $850k of my retirement pension took a big hit in April due to the crash. I quickly got in touch with a financial-planner that devised a defensive strategy to protect my funds and make profit from my portfolio this red season. I’ve made over $250k since then.

It's recommended to save at least 15% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.

Here is the answer to the video title. How I retired in 5 years:
1- I knew exactly what I needed. specific goal or vision.
2- I figured how much I need to sustain this goal or lifestyle.
3- Once I got to the amount of money I needed, I quit the full-time job.
4- I focused on something I prefer doing, which is making youtube videos which in itself a full-time job but at least I'm really passionate about.
5- Now I make money regardless and I also have enough originally to sustain my original goal or vision which is literally
(living on my basic needs like any man on earth, knowing luxurious products are pointless/ it's only for women or kids, so spending only on basic important needs
    such as food and house)
So therefore I'm free early in life, enjoying and I don't give a F what other people do running in circles to gain pointless stuff and sustain BS lifestyle, instead of living the
moment and enjoying the actual life.

with 500k you can live very well for a long time and surrounded by the most beautiful women in the world in Russia, Ukraine or Belarus, an in the case of Ukraine and Belarus it's is very easy to get permanent residence, although the best of these 3 countries is by far Russia...with their warm beach areas as beautiful and modern as the Spanish coast or California, but safer.

Making money is a waste of life. Living and enjoying life with simple things are the ones we remember.

    • @Chuck8541
      @Chuck8541 Před 8 měsíci

I used to feel this way. But it’s a selfish fallacy. Because it’s a way that only promotes worrying and caring about myself.
If a family member is struggling financially, or has an emergency, we can’t say, “You don’t need it,just enjoy the simple things”.
Earning money is not an empty existence, sadly we do need it for materialistic, corporeal things.
Personally, I don’t need much, I do live simply. I’ve backpacked for years at a time, on very little funds, so I did reach the point where I knew how little I needed to be happy in life. But I also realized that by making and doing more, I can help the people I care about, and to help make their lives easier.
Maybe pay off your parents mortgage, so they can relax a bit. Help out friends. Help the people you love. What’s the point of needing less, if everyone you care about is struggling? Maybe you have a cousin or family member with a drug problem, but rehab is thousands of dollars. Help them. That’s worthwhile. I’m obviously making things up, but you get the picture.
It would be great if we could all enjoy the simple things in life, and just NEED LESS, but unfortunately everyone doesn’t learn this lesson - including people we love.
So, I’m not saying make more money so YOU can buy more ‘stuff’, I’m saying make more money to help people that matter to you. Help them achieve their dreams and goals, and try not lecture them about ‘just needing less’. I know, cuz I was that person before.
At the end of the day, helping people achieve their dreams and goals is much more fulfilling, than being with internal peace, calm, and happiness…while everyone around you struggles. Help them as much as you can, and unfortunately, this often requires financial capital.
Whether it’s a state of living minimally, and having inner peace and tranquility, or if you’re a billionaire with mansions and cars all over the world, no gift is worth keeping to yourself. Share it with others.
Just my two cents, and I mean no offense.
I hope you have a wonderful day, and life. You have many more trips around our Sun, make them worthwhile. 🙂👍

@@mondon4418 True. But it's never better than the present moment, to plan how to change your future.
It's never been easier to make money in the history of man, than right now.
We have spartans throwing autistic kids into gorges because they weren't fit to be heroes, and survive. Today we have entrepreneurial autists that run successful online businesses.
Any kid with a reliable car can make money delivering amazon packages, uber driving, or delivering groceries for numerous companies.
If you know a second language - even a common second language, like Spanish, you can make a beginner/intermediate/advvanced cours e - upload it to Udemy, and have residual income.
I don't mean this as an attack, but if you have time to complain, you have time to earn. Work hard, and grind today, so you can chill and grow old in peace, tomorrow.
Was on my way to an airport once, and my uber drivers grind hit me good. He drove for uber and lift - when one app was quiet, he drove for the other. He rented his car out on Quro (forgot the exact app name, basically it's a rental car app), and he lived in crowded miami - which had stupidly expensive parking spaces. So he was using some other app, that let him rent out his parking space. He only worked 5 days a week, set his own hours, and that's how he took care of his family. His FAMILY. He was making enough off these apps to take care of his family. That's trippy man. And he was his own boss, too.
It's in all of us to be a success, or failure. I'm not trying to lecture you, I'm just tryna open your eyes a bit. Me and you could be making some money, instead of watching and commenting on youtube. Know what I mean?

So, the question is now, how long your retirement phase will/can last… when I was 27 things went extremely well for me too… I felt I retired, did not have to work for money anymore and thought that it will last forever… big mistake for long term thinking… you will know when you get to your fifties, sixties if you will have the luck to get there…, so still a lot to learn.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure he's retired for life. I remember on a podcast, Techlead stated, if I remember correctly, his networth was around 40 million. And considering his lifestyle, that being fairly cheap, his cashflow and relatives (he lives with his parents sometimes) I don't think he'll have to worry about his retirement phase ending.
Heck he even stated he got a job before because he was bored.... Like man I wish my life situation was like that

@@javier.alvarez764 I looked back and I was wrong, I don't know how I got that number. But, on a podcast, the topic of networth came up. He didn't state his networth but he said that if you look up on Etherscan, you could see his crypto wallet, which was worth around 20 million.
And in another video I can't remember, he said his investing strategy as geared towards being safe, and crypto was one of his smaller assets. So like he probably has more money. If he says his crypto is one of his smaller assets but it's worth 20 million he probably has alot more

Just saving money is a fools errand indeed. You have no guarantee you will wake up tomorrow, or if you will be disabled some day. In Hawaii with my brothers years ago (~20 years old). Watched a bus of elderly tourist in Waikiki get out. Sad.. You could tell they wished they had been here decades ago, when they could have run across the sand into the water.

Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My Husband and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

After seeing the horrifying reality of old age with my grandmother and parents, I gave up on the idea. I was saving to have more and more time for what? Peeing and pooing my pants for longer? That's the reality of life after 70. And all that money you saved so hard for your retirement goes on medical costs and diapers. Even the few lucky ones who go on trips can't really enjoy it, because they are too old and no longer physically capable of doing much. The whole concept is ridiculous.
So, now I use my money intentionally and wisely, focusing on only buying the things I need, and the few things I really care about. Life is much better. When (if) I get to 72, I will go to Europe and use one of those pods to peacefully go to sleep, dreaming of all the great things I did during my life. And I won't regret it one little bit.
