It is expensive outside Japan but in Japan it is 1500JPY(11 USD) for 50ml

I don't consider it very expensive where I live. It's anywhere from twenty to twenty-six dollars a botte. I have inks that cost from ninety to a hundred and twenty dollars a bottle. And when you consider how long a bottle of ink lasts most people, it's really pretty cheap.

I think Pilot Iroshizuku inks are a good deal, but they cost more per ml than Noodler's, Diamine, Private Reserve, etc.

Hey, thanks for the video! I am more in collecting fountain pens and typically just use the cartridges, as they are less messy than converters and pistons. However, I respect the pen hobbyists who do.

I love every Iroshizuku ink I've tried, and I own most of them. I don't think of them as very expensive, maybe because I remember when they cost a lot more than they do now. They used to make their own handblown bottles, and all the inks were thirty-five dollars, and sometimes a bit more. Now they buy bottles from another company and prices are much lower. I certainly don't think of them as luxury items. I have a number of Montblanc inks that cost ninety dollars per bottle, and a couple of Japanese inks that cost a fair not over a hundred dollars a bottle. These I do consider luxury inks. All personal viewpoint, I guess.

That makes sense. I guess to me they are luxury compared to Private Reserve and the like, which are cheaper and come with a much cheaper presentation.
