A gameplay showcase showing all the Monster Hunter World Turf Wars in the base game.
There are going to be more turf wars as new monsters are added but they will be covered in a different showcase video!
Additional: The video is just covering turf wars when it says "Turf War" on the right of the screen when monsters meet. There are lots of fights between almost all the monsters in the game but I just wanted to cover the unique animations and attacks during these turf wars.

I found it satisfying after watching Anjanath bully all the other monsters to finally get dunked on by a Rathalos/Rathian.

Because it’s in my humble opinion it feel weird seeing anjanath. A monster who’ll fly into a fight with anything without any issues cower before rathalos. Anjanath doesn’t even need to win, he shouldn’t because he’s meant to be this big and powerful monster that dwarfs everything else prior, he’s pretty much the playground bully. That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t try to attack rathalos.
Because if paolumu will try to fight legiana head on. Anjanath shouldn’t shy away from rathalos.
Also the way rathalos smacks anjanath down looks a little weak. I would’ve preferred a more powerful strike.

They are very rare. Nergigante can sometimes spawn during an optional quest against a Teostra or Kushala. However, in my experience the Kushala and Teostra one can only occur during a certain quest unlocked at level 100. I might be wrong though.

This is false the Diablos is actually the female the Monablos is the male (he only has 1 horn) this is similar to rathian and rathlos, sadly they quit adding him after Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Bradley Barr Monoblos is not a male Diablos, they even have a female in heat variant just like Diablos, the White Monoblos. They are completely separate species that are just closely related like White and Black rhinos

I'm.glad that Nerg won all his fights. Elder Dragon hunting is his specialty. I don't see it as a bully if it only hunts the strongest beings out there.
ThePyrobrid but I would wish that there were more endings like, that it shows, that its not easy to hunt down elderdragons, and that he could bring himself into losing because I don't belive that its so easy to smack down Teostra.

+Mystery but nerg is an elder dragon who eats elder dragons, he should win.
Phone Guy But not always the other ones are Elder Dragons too. Elder Dragons are not easy to kill.
Mystery the fight between teo and nergi wasn't fully one sided tho, teo also dealt heavy blows, his pride just got the best of him thinking he could overpower nergigante with raw power.
Mystery Nergigante can prevent elder dragons from using their special dragon abilities with his claws/spikes and thats why he hunts other elder dragons.
Ever wonder why Nergigante weapons has high elderseal on them? Yeah so he can prevent other elder dragons from using their abilities(Teostra's fire, Vaal Hazak's effluvial, Kushala Daora's wind, etc.)
Teostra is strong yes, but it cannot be compared to Nergigante brute strength.
Rule number one in MHW when you see a monster clash: Let them fight.
It would be SO much more epic if after Nergigante threw another monster, he would fly upwards, roar at them, and full on body-slam them.
The Dragons would probably be crippled though, I assume the developers don't want him doing that much work for you.

You just gotta love how Vaal Hazak (who's supposed to be an elder dragon) gets attacked by an Odogaron. Y'know. A normal large monster. And with every other elder dragon ever (as far as i can remember) all large and small monsters go into hiding once one enters an area.
It is because odogaron is extremely aggressive

I actually think that Odogaron might have the most Turf Wars. I mean that guy will fight anything.

Mizutsune, Bubble Dragon there's no snow map so there's no chance for a gammoth comeback☹️. I can see glavenus, astalos, and mizutsune making a comeback though. It would be cool seeing mizutsune in the coral highlands
Glavenus and Astalos both live in forest so they can go to the ancient forest and they could have a turf war against there equivalent (Glavenus vs Anjanath because both are fire T-rex, Astalos vs Tobi-Kadachi because thunder etc...
I wanna see Shagaru Magala or Gore Magala in some of thos turf war... Hope he will soon be added in the game... (Shagaru is my favourite monster). Like I wanna see Shagaru Magala fighting against Nergigante or Teostra... Would be epic...

There's something about the Nerg vs Teo turf war that bugs me.
-Teostra is known to be one of the strongest users of Fire.
-Nergigante has no elemental power but instead uses raw strength.
So what does Teo do? Attack it directly. Elder dragons aren't as stupid as a Jagras, come on now.
Ali Morrison to be honest i don't think it would matter either way teo may be the strongest fire dragon but nerg would have gotten close either way theres a reason hes called the elder dragon that eats other elder dragons you don't get that title for runing away from a little elementl damage

But nergi(base) vs jho(base) form would be pretty one-sided but but not a full landslide on nergi side because he solely relies on overpowering his foes just like jho but nergi has the edge due to the fact nergigante heals and has retractable spikes that grows back fast- round 2: nergigante(turns black) vs jho(raged pickle) this round also goes to nergigante because when hes cover all in black- his spikes gets longer and harder- hes gets more stronger, faster and durable- i can see jho getting a few hits in till he gets completely overpowered by nergigante raw power
Ally Vega, fun fact, the Deviljho is stronger than you're giving it credit for, the Jho is used to facing enemies it's size, though it tends to kill smaller prey, good proof of jhos strength is its ability to kill Bezelgues, true most consider it a tie, but tying in the factor Bezelgues tends to wound Nergigante (at least for me) more often then Nergigante beating it, it's safe to say the match would be quite close, if not a draw or Jho win, yet despite jhos clear physical prowess, there's jhos destructive breath, capable of killing any uncareful hunters in mere seconds, if Jho landed said attack on Nergigante I believe it's safe to say the Jho would win.

I usually just randomly go to the wildspire to see Diablos go underground and WWE the Rathian, it never gets old

The first one was an Excellent shot. Seeing Anjanath turn around and slam Great Jagras in front of Tobi Kadachi and then Tobi and Anjanath roaring at it.....that whole scene was just so awesome

I'm guessing the Diablos vs Black Diablos turf war is determined by size? Black tends to be bigger but not always.
Also I'm thinking Nergigante might win the turf wars, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a stronger Elder Dragon. It's just that fighting other Elder Dragons is his specialty. It's evident in his abilities as well. Getting stronger from taking damage and trading in any sort of elemental affinity for pure raw strength.
HitodamaKyrie I'm thinking it's random, several times now, I've had the two of them turf war twice in the same hunt and sometimes they each win one or one of them will just beat the shit out of the other both times. It also apparently has nothing to do with the horns somehow, I've seen a black diablos with no horns left beat a full health normal diablos.

Yeah, its random. Ive seen a small diablos beat a gold crown black diablos. I heard also if their horns were broken or not would influence the battle but no. Ive seen one with both horns broken dominate one with both. So yeah, probably random

Nergi is the strongest dragon in terms of raw power,but the other elders have an elemental power or something like that so it’s a trade off

Some interesting think to note
Ordegradon was tearing chunks out of val like it was nothing until he used is gas cloud, so this could mean that physically val is on the level of a standard tavern maybe even below that.
Nergigante was able to down both other elder dragons in a fight concluding that he is the strongest elder dragon to come to the new world. Below zora magderos.
love how sometimes you can get like a Rathalos vs Anjanath turf war, and you see the monster that's been rocking your shit and sometimes interfering and fucking up your other hunts get effortlessly picked up and just tossed

I love how much of an alpha odo is, the only thing to make it back down is a fucking elder dragon, nothing else even came close to the doggo. It's also shows off how indimidating nergi is, lore wise he eats other elder dragons, and it shows how strong he is by winning all the turf wars.
Teostra vs. Kushala fucking terrified me, and Nergigante kicks ass as usual

Teostra vs Kushala Daora was epic, they attack each other with Flame and Wind Elements.
I am new in game and i saw these type of battles so many times.
Usually when i was haunting Tobi Kadachi. I saw him fighting Anjanath, Great Jagras and one more monster that i dont know yet, he is a dragon type. :)

Shagaru would most likely be mega oofed by both. Teostra basically lives fire, Shagaru's weakness. Nergigante would fuck it up. Gore can't even see, but he might have a chance with frenzy shots.
Never said he had a chance in the first place, just that it would be freaking epic to see no matter the outcome :D

Good point. I enjoyed Shagaru and Gore, but i'm unsure if they'll be able to win any..I want them to win something.
You think he would have a chance against (let's say) the following monsters:
-Kirin (I think yes because he is far superior to Kirin in term of pure strenght alone so Kirin's physical attack won't do a lot, also Kirin's best weapon are his special attack made of lightning and Shagaru resist it so...).
-Deviljho (might be a more fair matchup than it look).
-He win against both Diablos for sure.
-Legiana (overall stronger and has a minor resistance to ice).
-(Might be the most interresting) Vaal Hazak perhaps ?
-Kushala Daora it might be a fair matchup in brute strenght alone, also they are pretty close in term of size (vary between 1261.6 (centimeters I suppose) and 2215.6 for Daora and between 1600.29 and 2187.06cm for Shagaru, he's barely smaller than Daora and at their size, I don't think that such a small size gap would make any difference...

I want this game so badly..
I recently had a most epic Turf War. I was hunting a Dodogama, and had already broken it's head and tail. Then Bazelgeuse attacks, and I have to pull back due to his sneak attack (I didn't hear him -.-). After healing up I run to the fight, and the freaking Bazelgeuse flies away, leaving three Bazelgeuse parts on the ground. I collected them, and the next moment a Azure Rathalos attacks my Dodogama. I stood back, and a short while later, said flying lizard runs away, the Dodogama won again. After I hunted my target into another area, we run into the batelgeuse again, and he got a fireball to the face. This time I joined the fight and stood with the Dodogama (even though he was dividing his Firebombs between the Bazelgeuse and me. Smart guy.)End result, I got a Bazeleuse corpse, and afterwards captured the Dodogama.

I have to give Jho some respect for taking the horns like a champ from Diablos, Barroth is no fucking joke when it comes to ramming stuff, and it gets destroyed in a head on ram against Diablos.

Just going to add some updates since both Lunastra and Deviljho are now out; Deviljho has a turf war with Bazalguese that is probably one of the most badass monster v monster fights I've ever seen, as well as Lunastra having a turf war like interaction with Teostra that will probably be very hard to record as I've only ever seen it happen in the special assignment, 'No Remorse, No Surrender', also, it bathes whatever area they're in with fire, killing any player who stays too long. Also, don't know if this counts as a turf war, but Jho has a habit of using G.Jagras, G.Girros, Kadaichi, Odogaron, and similar sized monsters as weapons.

I was hunting an Anjanath with one of my friends and like at the beginning of the video we were basically being followed by a Tobi-Kodachi and a Great Jagras. Although the Tobi-Kodachi only appeared near the end of the Hunt and the Great Jagras was getting his ass kicked.
