I really liked supernova. But I do agree with you on the character aspect. Marissa needs to write a short story collection for this series!

I was so happy with how this series ended! every book in this trilogy I've rated 5 stars, and I was not ready for all the twists and turns in the final book. I did wish we saw more of the final fight with the other renegades from around the world, cause that would have been epic!! I also wish we got to see more of the supporting characters - it's primarily focused on Adrian and Nova as they're the MC's, but It would been cool to follow Ruby, Oscar, Danna etc. Meyer's stories are always fun!

i kind of understand what to you mean with the characters changing, but also i feel like they were all put into a very intense situation (since it was the end) and they would respond differently to that. i just feel like most of them have been morally grey all this time (which we stan) but in the end they have to pick a side and fight for what they believe in. ace got so much power so it makes sense for him to just completely lose it especially with all the revenge feelings he'd been having towards captain chromium BUT it's just my opinion lmao idk
I haven't read a single book by Marissa Meyer, but this vlog is making me want to binge read the Renegades series 😁
Meh good luck. I read some mid/negative reviews to see if it's for you. Book two was a total waste of time.

I really liked the Renegades (the first book), wayyy more than the second and third, but I cant decide if I liked the second or third more. Its enjoyable but I definitely wanted more action, I didnt expect the romance to be a huge component of the series.
@@jingerlina yes yes yes on the romance part. The first book it was a pleasant slow burn and the second it was agonizing. ImO. Like I said tho I think the second was way too long and waste of time. It easily could have been a two book series.
This trilogy is soooo good!! Definitely recommend. My personal favorite is the second one, so don’t worry about people saying it was a waste of time. It is purely personal preference!😄
That epilogue seriously made my cry. I called my boyfriend at one in the morning (3am his time) to cry about the epilogue. XD
I do this to my poor boyfriend too! I finished Wicked Saints and called him at one am to gripe about the end. Poor man haha 😅
I thought I was the only one who cried over the epilogue XD I thought I was being totally ridiculous, glad to know im not alone!

That apologue was so crazy that I was listening to it as an audiobook and I legitimately cut on my phone and looked at ut check if I was reading was right forgetting that I was listening to it and I couldn't double-check and stare at the page like that. It was bananas.
Yes, the epilogue was...the best part of the book
i felt really similarly. supernova had a lot of plot points that didn't connect and there were a lot of parts where it was definitely unbelievable. my order would be renegades, archenemies and then supernova last haha.

I just picked up my hold of this from the library today, and while I was reading I kept checking the book against this vlog being like, "oh this is what she meant about a thing happening around this chapter"
Also, I would say my series ranking would go (currently) renegades, supernova, archenemies. Archenemies was kinda frustrating to me bc in renegades we get introduced to all these questions, then the 2nd book was over 500 pages with absolutely no answers!
Just finished Supernova!! And that epilogue had me shook! Did not expect that at all, and I need a spin off. This world is not finished and I need more. Can't wait to watch your spoiler review!

I thought it made sense because when it came to Ace the anarchists were crazy. Like they were ready to retire but once Ace comes back all of the old feelings from years ago come back.

Ok I finished Supernova last night and....it was so amazing I can’t even form words❤️💙❤️💙I LOVE this series. It was a 5 star read for me, but I actually really agree with what you said about expanding the story with the international Renegades bc I also would’ve liked to see that. i finished the renegade audiobook not to long ago and it was awesome. rn reading the toll but after that i am def picking this series back up
My order for this series is the same as you!! I also felt like this last book was a bit lacking in bits, esspecially the boss fight kept just dragging on in my opinion.
I was also hoping for the exact opposite outcome of the supernova than what actually happened. I feel like it would’ve been a better conclusion to the whole prodigy, Council and who should be in charge discussion?
But like you said the epiloue made everything better because WHAT THE HELLL. I need a spin off series following the story and character of the epilogue because yes

this was my fav. see where ur coming from but i like how Marissa Meyer didn't take a "basic" ya ending of what we all expected to be the climax. i was SUPER let down by the toll so keys see you love it😂

There isn’t one episode where her makeup isn’t absolutely beautiful, even without makeup absolutely beautiful! Also I like how her shirt and makeup match the book.

I listened to the audiobook. 16.5 hours long and I finished it in 3 days, which is unheard of for me! I soooo agree with what you said that it took off in a TOTALLY different direction than what I was expecting. What are those little gold placemarkers you're using? They look really neat!
Supernova made me feel and see the point of the anarchists for sure. I really enjoyed Max's storyline and how Nova was really showing the layers to how there is no such things as the good and bad side being all the way right and all the layers to this world. I just enjoyed the questioning of what the right actions to take were especially as Ace did reveal his villainous intentions. Oh man that epilogue, I was like woahhh I need an e-novella! Lol
I'm halfway through reading Archenemies at the moment and I've just ordered my copy of Supernova from Book Depository! Top tip for anyone who lives in the UK like me, it isn't available on Amazon until March but it is available to order on Book Depository!

I love this vlog. I went to a book signing in NYC at the Union Square Barnes and Noble. I went to the book signing for Dante Basco's book From Rufio to Zuko on November 8th. I went with my Best Friend. But I didn't vlog because I was having so much fun.
I guessed the twist that came in the epilogue at some point in the middle of supernova but was ANGRY that nothing really came of it. also I love Leroy

I like that the book was so different but that because I really like books that are really different from what I expected and I really liked our core character to really be the main focus. That's just me personally to each their own I guess.
I haven't read supernova, but I'm going to re-read the trilogy. I'm just scared, but I do feel better after watching your vlog. I just feel like Nova is so screwed when Adrian finds out who her alter ego is, I can't see them working it out. But, I do love the contrast they bring to each other. I feel better knowing that you gave it a 4 star rating, because that makes me more confident that I will enjoy it too.
I'm so hyped up for Phobia's backstory but like...what if he's just a regular creepy guy.

I think my favourite out of the 3 books was renegades. I cant decide if I like archenemies or supernova more. For archenemies, I didn't expect the romance to play such a big role, I just wanted more action since it is a superhero series. I agree supernova was so different, the twist and turns with nova was just not what I expected. There were some parts I felt were dragged out. I agree that the characters were more watered down in this book. I sooooo agree with your comment that there were many scenes that were a little too convenient or that we really need to suspend our believe. That epilogue thoughhhhhh. That is a storyline I can get behind.
