- hello!! i spent 6 hours working on lore for these two siblings and im not even done!! i have so much more i want to do with these two.

Harlow’s girlfriend’s name could be Abbey which is a synonym for a chapel as a nod to Chappell lol, also if you change her genetics like skin tone, head shape, and eye color she won’t look too much like Chappell
true i’ll play around with her genetics!! i honestly didn’t even look at a photo of chappel making her but she turned out soooo similar.
i was in my sims slump for months and these lore videos have revived my obsession

i definitely think that chappell roan sim is a bit too spot on and it does look like a copy of her 😭 like other comments suggesting playing with genetics i like that idea, but i totally agree to keep the red hair. if you’re open to changing her fashion slightly so its still eccentric and colorful - like a different nature symbol (not a butterfly? something else? bats, horses, etc. idk) and give your sim their own iconic symbol!
so far LOVING your channel, i have never seen anyone play the sims like you do. your attention to detail is so refreshing and i appreciate that your content is so long haha

i agree- i had the idea of leaning into more billie vibes with the outfits so i might do that? complete vibe change though. i was super happy with her genetics but everyone keeps saying to change them up, so i’ll see about playing with that. :)

if you want more simmers who make videos of their process working on a save file I suggest cocogames she’s an alpha simmer but shes who got me into making my own save file and seeking out content like this most of the process is through twitch but she has a handful of videos of the process on CZcams

@@silleepigeon idk if its the shaders or something but like the texture of your sims (that sounds literally insane wow) has that 2005-esque warmth, it's super cozy and fun, I adore it !
when it comes to cc usage,, i really think you should prioritize having fun and seeing through with your vision more than anything else! i’ve played with cc save files before and it honestly isn’t that big of a deal to either grab the cc or adjust the missing cc to my liking. if people enjoy your save file enough, the cc really won’t be that big of an issue!
plus,, making a cc free version doesn’t have to be immediate + would take less time in the future than currently restricting the creation of the file itself. just have fun,, it’s your world and your vision :]]

if it's just for the sake of lore pictures, wont be better to criate a separete empty save file where you could uplode the lots and just the family you want to take pictures, take the pictures and save them as a room, then put on the real lots on the real save file? so nothing breaks

i’ve thought about that! i could play with it for sure. i don’t know if the game mechanics of a photo being taken by a certain sim would work… but i guess if the sims have the same names it wouldnt make a difference!

19:58 if you use wicked/wonderful whims, it has a built in pose player that doesn’t reset sims when building on a lot, it’s such a lifesaver 😭

Love the lore videos alot and you dont have to set the ISO camera to a certain height in build mode you can control it like the ingame cameraman mode with the Q and E keys to move up and down 💗
it only raises so high which is why i was doing it in build because i couldn’t quite get the angle i wanted from the floor. i have learned i can put it on a tripod tho!! :)
i cant wait for the save! i hope you create alot of starter lots to move sims into!

yas Harlow has a girlfriend! I love the idea of her having a thing for redheads and that being the reason why she started dyeing her own hair red like she thought she just liked the red hair colour on women but actually she also liked red haired girls lol
And also yay polygamy with the gf having also a fling with the other celeb. Fits the vibe of Harlow having interest in polygamy / open relationships. The relationship also being kinda a bit over on the gf's part fits how Harlow idolizes this natural redhead, famous artist, openly queer girl which would feel too much like dating a fan and get her a bit bored in the relationship. She wants to date someone who is more like their own person and done most of the self discovery.

I feel the town has in past been more conservative and just now started to be more lgbtq friendly with new quuer couples moving in, some older people coming out and maybe a gay venue (karaoke bar with like pride flags or so), but since Harlow is an og resident from the times quuerness wasn't visible in the town, she doesn't feel that safe coming out except to like Rune and Bertie. I feel she has only accepted being bi after breaking up with Laurie and because things are a bit awkward between them (breakup, fwb stuff), he doesnt know about it yet

Try to only save your game when you’re actually in a household, (like in live mode) if not it can glitch your save and glitch a bunch of mods but you can fix it by “save as” and saving it under a new save and deleting the other one you saved while not in a household😊
why does it do that?? this is the first i’m hearing of this :,)
32:59 I thought that the storage chest might have broken with all the glitches in the household--that happens to me sometimes when I move sims in and out, it will sometimes not let me take photos out or put photos in. If that's not the case and it doesn't let you put photos in because its a garden storage chest that's so annoying!!
i’ll try it in another household for sure, but it let me use the other keepsake box so i’m not sure :(

8:42 do you use any of Twisted Mexi’s mods? He has better build buy which allows you to save favorites of build items. He has a lot of useful mods, I recommend checking them out to see if any of them would be helpful for your goals! Also I’m not sure if you use MCCC by deaderpool but it has a copy sim function! (And a whole lot more really lol)

for the celebrity sim i think the hair looks pretty good, also you dont have to use just ea hair u can use cc and if somebody like REALLY REALLY wants it just post the cc links. i think you should go for like a more avril lavigne look for the first outfit tho

Okay this is in the moment so I do not know if you figure this out later yet. But, with the ISO Camera mod if you go ahead and turn moveobjects on cheat you can rotate the camera in live mode with "," and "." Like how you would rotate them in build mode!

i use skin overlays and a skin default (mostly all by lamatisse or sammi-xox
and lighting mods - i use noglo by luumia so the sims are better incorporated into the rest of the world in terms of the lighting. as well as an edited version of gunthermunch’s lithium for CAS for my gameplay!!

i don't think Harlow's gf looks tooo much like chapel roan but i do think despite the hair looking great, it should be a contrasting colour from Harlow's hair (even if that does mean using cc). To make her look less like chapel you could play around with her skin tone/ethnicity/weight etc, you can never be too diverse and it'll definitely make them look different. Anyways love your content and dw this is just me being super nitpicky
yeah i usually try and make my sims couples have different colored hair, especially with bold colors like red. i’m gonna look at my CC hairs! i def could play around with her genetics more. i was really happy with her but a lot of people are saying that so i will try it!! i certainly am aiming to have a very diverse save. i’ve made a LOT of “base” sims i haven’t shown you guys yet so i’m also trying to not have her look too much like any of those sims either so 😅

Also I think Harlows gf looks great as is, despite the red hair being similar to Harlows I don’t think she needs to change much at all and she looks pretty perfect right now. You could maybe try posing them together and seeing how it feels? Im not really sure but it might help. I still don’t think she looks tooo much like Chappell but besides, a nod to Chappell is the best thing to have in a game:D

how do you plan for your save file?
i come up with a lot of ideas at work!! i daydream a lot or think about media or life situation’s and use that as inspiration to build off of. i get a LOT of help from everyone in the comments here!! i write a lot of ideas on the back of receipts and stuff!!
as for actual planning i have a video on my channel called “my plans and progress with willow creek” where i kind of go over my plans and maybe that’ll be helpful to see my process? i made a list of types of lots i wanted and then drew on a screenshot of willow creek using MS paint lol.
also i’m doing a video soon where i’m compiling lore ideas from comments on here- which has more of the sort of planning process :)
