    I love seeing you experiment! Sometimes I forget that I can just try things and that I don't need to get frustrated when it doesn't work out.

    Hi Jean, this colour combination is lovely, I feel inspired to go and play right now! You’ve just confirmed my preference for hot pressed paper for this style of painting. All the suppliers and more traditional painters say use Rough or at least Not for best granulation, but that just organises the pigment within the texture of the paper,the results are predictable , you get so much more movement and random deposits of pigment on hot pressed paper- the process is so exciting and the finished picture so much more interesting ! Thanks so much for helping along my journey!🤗

    I’m curious why you like hot pressed paper. Won’t the granulation show up more on a textured paper?

    • @JeanLurssen
      @JeanLurssen  Před 2 lety +2

      I believe it shows up more on hot pressed. I have tried it on cold pressed paper.

    What is the brand of the granulation medium? Where can it be purchased? T.y.

  • @watercolorpaintingintheaft9142

    I really love your style of painting. Sometimes when I try it, the paint seems to just slide off the page and I'm left with large areas that are bare. What am I doing wrong?

      If you use lots of water, use more pigment (less water, dryer)
