    Balaleeth is a traditional Emirati breakfast made with vermicelli. It is a combination of sweet and savoury..The Sweet vermicelli is flavoured with cardamom and saffron and topped with a thin omlette.
    .
    Ingredients:
    Vermicelli- 1& 1/2 cup.
    Sugar-4-5 tablespoon
    Cardamom pwder-1/2 teaspoon
    Saffron strands - 5-8 ( optional) Soak in 1 tablespoon warm water and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
    Unsalted butter-30 g
    Oil-2-3 tablespoon
    Egg-2
    salt-1 pinch
    Method:
    1. Soak the saffron in 1 tablespoon warm water.
    2. Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon oil
    3. Roast 1/2 cup vermicelli over medium low flame untill golden.
    4. Add hot water and the remaining vermicelli ( 1 cup not roasted)
    5. Cook for 3-4 minutes, drain and keep aside.
    6. Heat a pan add butter and oil.
    7. Add the cooked vermicelli , sugar, cardamom and cook covered for 8-10 minutes over low flame.
    9. Heat a pan and fry the beaten eggs.
    10. Serve HOT.
