    Make note that the risistor wire can only go in one way, if you find that it's not going through, you have the red cap upside down. Tried this, 💯% worked. Thank you for the detailed instructions!

    I have those signals look so good white lights but can’t wait to buy those again without resistors need it or already incorporated in the near future since one of the resistors failed after only 10 months!

    I installed a Switchback bulbs and resistors on my 2019 Wrangler the drivers flashes faster than the passenger and the bulb-out warning light comes on for about 3 seconds on the dashboard before it goes out any ideas why?

    Only worked for the left (green&black) the right side did not work, I found a wiring diagram that show the right front is brown/white and black can you confirm

    So it’s gonna hot only when the turn signal is on, but not while the led fender light DRL working right ?

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  Před rokem

      Correct. They don't produce heat unless the turn signal is active.

  • @THEBHGROUP1
    @THEBHGROUP1 Před 4 lety +1

    How hot does the resistor get? I’m concerned about using the product overall because of that.

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  Před 4 lety

      The sensors do get pretty hot, but they will only do so when the blinker is on. We don't have an exact temperature, but we recommend they are mounted to a metal surface away from other wires.

    Hello, great video, very instructional. I have a question, Which resistors (Value) are appropriate for a 2018 Jeep Renegade Altitude brake/Turn led 1156?, Thx

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  Před rokem +1

      Our LED resistors work on all model brake and turn signal bulbs. You can find them in the link provided below depending on how many you need!
      www.diodedynamics.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=resistor

  • @kristopherstephens8287

    Followed video. Didn't work. Ideas for troubleshooting? Can I remove and try again or are the wires shot now?

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  Před 4 lety

      More than likely you just didn't make a solid connection with the turn signal power and ground. We would recommend re-doing those connections, and confirming those wire colors. If you are still having troubles, please shoot us an email at contact@diodedynamics.com and we can assist you from there!

    I installed these with the resistors in one side (passenger) and then I decided to test them. Neither side hyper flashes. Any reason why the driver side isn’t hyper flashing (without the resistors)? I’m thinking about not installing the resistors in that side...

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  Před 4 lety

      Hey Mike - you will need one resistor per blinking bulb, as more than likely this was due to the CANBUS system when testing.

    I have a 2018 Sahara Unlimited JL. I installed the switchback bulbs purchased through you, but they stay solid amber. Come to find out after doing more research, the switchback bulbs wont work on the Sahara JL model. Would these resistors solve this issue? (the issue being that the lights are amber and not white LED at all)

    These worked to kill the hyper flash on my DD LED turn signals. I also bought the tail lights which I love. Can someone please tell me which wires I need to install the tail light resistors on? I can't find a JL tail light wire schematic yet and I'm too lazy to chase the correct wires myself. Anyone know which color wires I need? Thanks!

    The resistor gets really hot so much you can't touch it. Is this normal?

    This does not work for Sahara Unlimited models, for there are two bulbs. If you install a switchback it will stay white and the other incandescent bulb is your blinker.

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  Před 4 lety

      When installing these, it will be one resistor per blinking bulb, so the same idea applies to all makes and models. The resistor will need to be tapped into the turn signal power and ground.

      For the Sahara unlimited. I am upgrading to the oem led DRL and blinker. I would need two resistors? One for blinker and one for DRL?

    What resistor did you use ? I swapped from sport fenders to rubicon fenders with leds . I now have rubicon leds and wiring harnesses. Will the wiring color still be the same ? Will resistors work for the factory led setup ?

    • @diodedynamics

    Why in the hell don't these car manufactures go ahead and start installing all LED lighting on new vehicles being sold. They are cheap now, efficient and long lasting. Stop using it as an "upgrade option" to suck more money out of our asses.
