When Jocko left the house at 18, he said to his dad “Ok, you’re the man now”
Legendary comment 🤣
People still using chuck norris comments 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jocko lost his virginity before his dad did. He is all that is man!
😅😂😂
I had a boss in NJ. Military man, served the country, and he was still in active reserves. He got called up during desert storm. I was left as the manager while he was away. I joked that hopefully the place doesn’t collapse with him gone. He sits me down and explains to me that it’s a fragile weak man that hopes people fail in his absence. He goes , “ if I did my job correctly in training you and everybody else, you all will succeed and thrive while I’m away”. That’s been over 25 years ago and I still think of that time and him.
My new motto

You definitely realize what this man's character is when he answers questions that aren't rehearsed. Great role model.
Jocko started waking up at 4:30 AM when

Jocko went to kindergarten the first two years after his birth, so he would get headstart to the other kids. With 3 he already went to school.

Piers gave Jocko soo many opportunities to brag about himself or his achievements and in every instance he showed his humility and modesty with his responses. even though him talking about his accomplishment would be perfectly acceptable, he still made everything about his men or his country and not about himself. what a guy!

And when you see a guy whose neck is as wide as his head and has fighter ears, you know that guy is not to be messed up with. Such a legend.
I have followed Jocko for a few years now and I don't recall hearing him say any negative about another person..He is always looking towards improving..A real Man's man.
If Democrats had the same mentality, of not insulting and stepping on people with different opinions, they would have gathered the country around them and win the next elections. If only people would treat others like he does...But no. It's always a childish posture of showing they're better and smarted and wiser than those who have opposite opinions.
I wish he did say something about Andrew TATE because tate is so damn toxic and disgusting.. and coming from another alpha may stop some men following tate.. tate is disgusting..
so you see a guy that treats everyone with respect and moves in a positive way and you wish that he would become negative against someone that you think is negative. How is it humble? It's just true. When I was at my peak, if it was me (ITF Taekwondo, not that Olympic overly safe stuff) vs a boxer in boxing- I would have been slaughtered. The boxer trying to compete sparring would have had broken ribs. In a no holds bar fight, it would come down to entirely external factors. Sparring isn't real fighting. It has rules, technique, strategy, like a sport.
@sophiophile whilst your totally correct, the humility is in being able to recognise and point out the deeper reality rather than just accepting "taking down 20 guys". It would have been true also if he simply said "yes I did" 🤷♂️
yes but he can easier say " YA im the best i can tap out anyone" but he chose to be humble@@sophiophile
@sophiophile what he means is he could’ve been like yeah that’s true and boasted about it but instead he explained the reality of the situation.
@sophiophile seems like someone here isn't exactly humble about their training.... your experience doesn't change the fact that he's went out of his way to properly explain the scenario, rather than accept the basic truth of what he did. Your trainingbhas no bearing on what humility is.

Anybody can take this man’s words and attitude and apply it to everyday life and get further. Great interview.
I love Jocko but he will never address tough issues that are slightly political because he knows it’s a risk to his wallet.
he was raised in the military and military members don't answer political questions. only generals do that.

But he just answered the biggest political question right now, in a more clear and short way than all other of Piers guests under the same question: Trump...I don't get your point, with all respect. There might be other subjects he wants to avoid but he actually faced the Big One quite amazingly.
its more like he addresses tough issues like military conflict in a nuanced way...Its kinda weird how nowadays this counts as not addressing it at all. It used to be appreciated to have a balanced view on tough situations but these days we need some hard hitting opinions catering to the extreme right or left of the argument to say the issue was "addressed"

Word Palestine/ Palestinian:-
Technical valid invention in the 1970’s before that they was classed as Arabs then used in the common term of Palestine in the 20th century. They were Syria, Lebanese or Egyptian or Jordian NOT Palestinian.
“1937 - The Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul Hadi, told the UN Peel Commission, “There is no such country as Palestine. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented. Palestine is alien to us. Our land was for hundreds of years a part of Syria.”
1946 - Philip Hitti, Princeton’s Arab professor of Middle East history, told the Anglo-American committee of inquiry, “It’s common knowledge there is no such thing as Palestine in history.
Syrian dictator:- “You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people. [Addressing the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasser Arafat]”
So to conclude, the term Palestine/Palestinian was invented in the 20th Century, before that they were just called Arabs with decent from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt or Jordan. This Is further backed up by quotes from Arab Professors/ leaders of Syria and lastly Arab leaders.
Connection between Jews and the land of Israel:-
There is an undeniable connection between the Jews and the land of Israel:- there are thousands of books from the last 3,000 years showing this, for example the bible shows a strong connection between Jews and Judea.
In archaeological digs we find Jewish coins, Jewish texts, and Jewish artefacts.
Although there isn’t a single book or archaeological dig that links back to the Palestine people.
Roman’s changed the name of the region from judea to Palestina because the Jewish people rebelled (back story to why but too long for insta). This was done to try and disconnect the Jews from the name judea.
Jerusalem was always the centre of Jewish life, Muslims turn their back on Jerusalem when they pray toward Mecca and we pray towards Jerusalem. When we get married we always say to never forget Jerusalem.
We never stole or used violence to take land in the land of Israel.
Challenge for you give me one village that the Jews stole from the Arabs from the 17th century when the Arab caliphate colonized the land of Israel - until 1947 when the Arabs started a war to wipe out the Jews. Although on the other hand I can list Jewish villages that Arabs destroyed before 1948 for example Hebron (research it please).
in 1927 a strong earthquake damaged the mosque and during renovation archaeologists analysed the structure they found beams made from cedar of Lebanon and Cyprus dating as far back the ninth century BC around the time of King Solomon who had used those very materials to built the first Jewish temple, the excavations also uncovered a Jewish ritual bath from the second temple and a mosaic believed to be part of a byzantine church most historians agree the jews were here first
Fact’s too why it is Jewish land not a story of Muhammed traveling to a mosque that didn’t exist until many years later, for their own political gain.

I'm nowhere near as disciplined as Jocko, and really nowhere as disciplined as I'd like to be. Things get in the way, we make excuses, etc.. The key is recognizing that and rewinding your motivation, your discipline.
Jocko Willink,, what an inspiration! I truly hope Jocko develops and pursues a serious interest in Federal politics. The world needs more of the guy. Piers, a sincere thank you for executing such a skillful interview and allowing your viewers to benefit so favourably from Jocko's thoughts and views - an absolute masterclass in how to interview someone.
Humble and dangerous. Thank you for your service and sacrifices made while serving.
"Most Zionists don't believe that God exists but they do believe he promised them PALESTINE"
- Ilan Pappe
True
“1937 - The Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul Hadi, told the UN Peel Commission, “There is no such country as Palestine. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented. Palestine is alien to us. Our land was for hundreds of years a part of Syria.”
You don’t need to be a Zionist or a Jew to believe that land of Israel belongs to the jewish people, knowing basic history is enough.
Palestine was a British name not an Arab name, what was the arab name of Palestine.... keep searching
This has nothing to do with religion. Jew's are from Judah religious or not.
He is a real man, a modern-day warrior with all the qualities that description entails. I often refer to his book, ‘Discipline = Freedom,’ and use it as my manual ✊
How can you not love this guy! Every word on every topic was logic, modest and on point. What a diamond of a human being👏
So, for Ukraine, Jocko advised for a halt to the war because war is bad, but for the destruction of gaza all he had to say was that in war collateral damage is inevitable. The hypocrisy is disrespectful at this point. I have no respect for you sir.
So much respect for Jocko every time i see him on Rogan, or any other media... thank you for all you've done Jocko
Simp.
The line about the owner of the bar being the winner sums him up right there what a guy he wouldn't even be talked into claiming his own country special forces were better than Britain even though most probably would vouch for their country or say something to the like lol fair play to him humble guy you can tell he's been through some
I absolutely love Jocko!!! He is an amazing warrior, and America was lucky to have him to defend us! Love that he honors Chris Kyle, Mikey Monsoor, Marc Lee, and Ryan Job, among others! He is a hero!
Piers! You knocked that interview of a great man out of the park. I love thus guy & have many of his books & products. Respect to you for letting him speak uninterrupted 🤙🏽👍🏽
A Hero and Coward will feel the same fear.........its how they react defines them
Good answer Jocko. I’m a Bering sea fisherman I have young guys out here working their asses off. You shut him down
Jocko is my favorite leader by far... I highly respect him. Badass all the time. 🔥👊
Maybe THE most probing and transparent exchange of life I have ever heard. An absolute diamond in the rough. I hope the whole world stops long enough to listen, and yes watch. Thank you both.
"The Palestinians have the right to hate the ones that destroyed their lives"
- Prof Norman Finkelstein
💪🇮🇱
As do the Jews. And they're kicking the hell out of your side, right now.
@@maxrockatansky2976Palestinians have the right to defend themselves against the occupation.
Israel has a right to defend itself from the people that write and prayed their hatred on the so called holly book Quran. Religion of peace my ass!!
Norm gets paid from Qatar...the world must read the Quran Abdool....we must teach the world about Islam
This dude knows how to answer questions. Like he is a master.
He's great, but the same questions he answers all the time, with the almost exact same words, honestly this felt very planned/scripted, Morgan just going thru the list of "standard questions for Jocko".
he is a child killer like israel, you see it in his eyes
@@Robanjo I felt some of that too. I'm a fan of both of these guys, but I didnt find this interview to be very challenging for either of them.
@@drystack86 the only slight challenge was making him actually say who he chooses between Biden and Trump, most of the time Jocko manages to avoids openly choosing a side (even thou you can tell between the lines)
@@Robanjo Also interesting that he's very recently had RFKJR on his podcast, they seemed to hit it off.
Wow, wow, wow; the way he handled all the questions, IMPRESSIVE!
wow- i normally dont like piers that much--but this interview was masterful
Jocko is great in my opinion. I resonate heavily with his attitude towards issues and life in general.
This man is an amazing human being. I love his kids book. I got them all for my twin grandsons who are 7. May God bless him as he fulfills his purpose in life. ❤
😂😂😂😂😂sure
Always happy to listen to jocko, he's extremely humble. Some of the questions seem extremely disrespectful. He handled it well
Jocko is always a class act. If you never read his books, or listen to his podcast....GOOD!!!
You have a treasure trove of knowledge to look forward to. Get after it!
These are the kinds of questions your grandma asks you when you come over.
Sorry to hear the gut feeling of soldiers going to war. But also imagine the defenseless civilians who are in the receiving end..😢
Yes, he lost me at 'collateral damage is acceptable'.
couldn't agree more, he disappointed me with his take on the Gaza Genocide
@@user-ti1ty3of7g You are looking at it in a very one sided way. He didn't say anything unreasonable about Gaza. He summarized that it's a mess. I'm guessing you love the Ukrainians killing people? You are likely very political.
War and violence is terrible. There is always collateral damage. Real people die.
I hate that but it is part of a war. You seem content to think that the Gaza situation is black and white. It isn't.
You were disappointed bc you wanted him to present a less reasonable view.
@@user-ti1ty3of7g Honestly it demonstrates cowardice. He is a coward. He knows what's up but he chooses to act ignorant. It doesn't take long to figure what's going on. You don't even need to listen to the Palestinian side of the story at all, just read and listen to what the Israeli officials have been saying and it's beyond a shred of doubt that they target civilians and intend on genocide. He knows this, but he also knows going against Israel is a death sentence to any media presence he has. He understands the power dynamics and he chooses his personal benefit over telling the truth, which is cowardly.
@jasonk876 his response justifies Hamas.
I am an iranian who is against American foreign policy but I have a big respect for this guy , he is definitely a down to earth guy with a big heart ! I learned not to blame the soilders and blame the politicians who sent them to do their dirty jobs ! Let's hope for the world in peace which I doubt about it myself !
Wait until President Trump gets back in Iran will be dealt with fire and fury

the ultimate mans man, never to be messed with but id imagine hes a sweetheart and teddy bear to his wife and kids, men like him make me confident about the future of america and the west,he should talk in schools, colleges, uni's,clubs and anywhere they will listen, thanks for your service and continuing positive life
Jocko for president. Seriously, he's rock solid in everything I've ever heard him say. We need more people like him leading the charge.
💯
Glad to see Tito Ortiz on Piers finally. He’s clearly improved his vocabulary.
lmao 😂
I also thought it was tito, but then i realised it's not him, tito would have quickly brought up his injuries and surgeries. 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah. Tito loves him some word salad. I still remember him saying that he wants to outlive his kids, and cutting himself while cutting and onion. He just kept going, bleeding all over his family's food. 😅
