I love how you always focus on each card and draw out the details. I agree with you; usually I need colour, but this deck, this art is perfect the way it is in black and white. The inkwork is so detailed, so dainty, that the form is shining. Pure archetypes. And honestly, so frigging expressive!

I got the complete opposite in the 5 of Pentacles. I got that the inn was too full and the person is telling them that they are nit allowed in. Which gives it an all new perspective. U can almost make out shadows of people in the other windows. I also love how the court cards are all within the same background. If u put them together they tell a very specific story.
That’s not really whatsoever the meaning of the 5 of pentacles tho….🤷🏼♀️ what thar there’s a 20 min wait to get in the inn 🤣🙄 So the cards telling you to wait 20mins, your poverty & struggles will be over? 🤣😂
I think the page of cups is looking at a map that has a heart on it. I loooove how the courts were done in this deck. The way they’re all in the same space but interacting with their elements in different ways so as to show an evolution. It’s totally genius. And I’m so excited about all the age diversity. I don’t reach for this deck as much as I hoped because it’s black and white. But I think I need to keep it out on my desk so I remember how beautiful it is.
Us games had their warehouse in construction mode so I figure that is why. And book depository kept my preorder from May and I finally received it in July. But no fees to ship to Canada with book depository so that was nice. But it is crazy it ships from US Games in The US to UK to get to Canada lol such good quality cardstock and art by Ana is amazing! So worth the wait :)
I had a hard time getting past the lack of color, but now appreciating the deck more after you went through it. Love the courts being tied together with each other!!!!
I like how in this walk through it literally feels like you connected to the spirit to understand each card on a really clean level with no disturbances of the mind (if that makes any sense at all 🤣). I thought I didn't like decks with no colour in the but hey, I guess I do now.

Ana Tourian also does the artwork for the "Bonestone & Earthflesh" Tarot... its almost identical art style to Tarot of the Abyss, but full vibrant colour. If you ever get the opportunity to get it, I think you would absolutely looove it! Watching this video has made me want to buy Abyss so I can pair it with both Bonestone and Echoes.

That is a beautiful deck! Lots of images with deep meaning. The only tarot I have in black & white is the Hermetic Tarot.I am not too fond of monochromatic decks, but if they’re packed with lots of symbolism and images like those, oh yes! I think I’m going with it. Love your amazing tarot and Oracle decks walkthroughs! 😀

Damn it, Lisa, I'd just about talked myself out of this deck bc there are a few cards I'm kinda meh about (the artwork in some of the minors isn't up to the quality of the majors imho), and now I want it again! At least it's mass market, so I can just wait until it becomes more readily available ETA: I'm not questioning the symbolism of the cards, which are all great, but from the perspective of an amateur artist who has done a lot of pen-and-ink work over the years, some of the cards show a masterful command of the technique whereas others feel like she was tired or not really gelling with the subject. Not really surprising - it must have taken her a long time to create so many detailed drawings!
