    I gave up on acupressure the day a lady looked at my feet and told me that I have an urgent gallbladder imbalance. It's working too hard, filled with too much bile, and I needed to buy her tea to fix it.
    I don't have a gallbladder.

      Watching a video to relax is one thing, but if you pay ANY money (and usually it's a high price) on scam practices, it becomes a problem, and also contributes to more people being scammed too. People can have real, big problems in life if they believe in fraudulent medical practices and neglect getting valid medical care when they need it.

    • @zelqam7305
      @zelqam7305 Před 4 lety +58

      It's less "bored" than in the past when there was literally no fully scientific medical care available, people, in understandable desperation, devised methods that seem to make some sort of sense to feel like they can do something when they otherwise feel totally helpless in the face of illness. And with the trial and error knowledge of all of human history, some parts of such pseudo-medical practices might actually be effective, such as certain herbal medications that have some effectiveness, or a pure placebo effect that, in a true believer in such practices, can alleviate anxiety, or in any illness, reduce stress, help with sleep, etc, which can be HUGELY helpful in naturally healing. Today, some such practitioners are fully conscious scam artists, and some believe in their practice, either because they feel some personal connection to such traditions, or because they've been alienated from medical science, perhaps because it's failed them or someone they love in a big way so they looked for something else besides what in their life had totally failed them. Perhaps some CLIENTS of such people are more likely bored and have excess money that they'll blow rather than donate to starving people or something otherwise much more beneficial to the world.

      That depends on whether the yoga/meditation is steeped in the same chakra, etc stuff as the rest of these practices, or is stripped of all that and is purely relaxation/stretching/balance/breathing/mind-calming exercises free of any pseudoscience. Because there is science to certain stretching, breathing, mental-focus, etc parts of yoga and meditation, but not to many of the ideas such practices were originally based upon.

    I study chinese medicine and let me tell you that when i begin to practice, i will not use alot of the treatments that are taught. Im going to take a western approach and look at everything from a biological viewpoint but treat the person as a whole using SOME of the tcm treatments. Yes, acupuncture works when used for a long time, yes herbs work for chronic conditions, yes the chiropractic corrects spinal issues. However, i will not tell my patients that his qi of his liver is imbalanced. I will say "your liver has hyperfluid retention due to increased NaCl (salt) levels in your blood too high. We need to decrease the sodium level in your blood." I won't use JUST finger pulse to diagnose heart conditions, but rather, use the stethescope go know exactly which chamber of the heart has a problem. I will use the western physical exam to know if a patient was damaged from sports. I am going to look at tje body and disease from a western and scientific viewpoint but treat it w therapies that encourages your own body to heal itself. If u need a surgery, i will send u to a surgeon. No problem. As a tcm practitioner, i will be allowed to read x rays, order blood tests ect. This may seem odd, but i will use modern sceince to the fullest when using tcm medicine.
    *EDIT*
    I am no longer studying TCM. I found my passion in computer science. I do plan on studying medicine in the future, but I will go the MD/DO route to become an interventional radiologist. Wish Me luck!!!! :)
    *EDIT#2*
    I quite computer science. I am now studying Biochemistry at Arizona State University. I am applying to the University of Florida for the B.S. in Microbiology. I am still going to go down the MD route and I am planning on specializing in either Family Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Immunology, or General Surgery with an emphasis in blood-less medicine to give the best outcome for patient populations who wish not to receive a blood transfusion. I still believe in TCM and acupuncture (I am still very skeptical on homeopathy and other alternative modalities) and if I ever open up my own practice, I plan on hiring a TCM physician to help my patients be prepared before surgery and recover well after it. My goal is to study and practice medicine in Ireland, UK, France, or maybe Canada.

      That’s the whole point honestly. If you told a chinese dude 600 years ago that you have access to all this stuff but still do “weird” science. He’d slap you. It’s meant to evolve and adapt. Which is unfortunate with how much genuine pseudoscience is still persistent.

      First you have to acquire all the parts to craft a bed. Once built place the patient on the bed and shoot all 4 ligaments of the body. Run around the room 6 times in no less than 20 seconds and knife the patients liver. Then you have to kill 15 other doctors in 4 hospitals and their souls will fill your medical syringe. Return to the room at exactly 6pm the next day and inject the body with the souls before knifing the liver once more, and the patient will be granted eternal life
