      Love the video as always. Don’t know if you care about this or not but generally if you want to succeed in this game I recommend putting down as many research labs as possible on your homeworld as soon as possible. By 2280 you could have battleships by this point playing on normal settings if you do this. Research is always good because even when you research everything there is repeatable technologies which you can continue to research for infinitely scaling power (you can infinitely research upgrades to pretty much all aspects of economy, you can upgrade shields, armor, weapons, and I think hull infinitely).

      As a none American with almost Net Zero rights and half my income being taken via partial slave labor aka Income Tax , not counting sales tax property tax etc.
      While they give people who aren't even my countrymen, more benefits than the needy already here .
      I'd much prefer to be an American , at least I could protect myself from the next home invasion.
      ( it's happened before and the useless cops took 40 minutes, when I could sprint to their station 3 minutes away if I wasn't pre occupied with an invader ).
      Basically you're country and mine suck, unless it's the states.

    I once beat Stellaris without participating in a single war. I did it by rushing the economy and research, and paying off neighboring nations as I discover them so they'd like me. When I had a decent territory and a large treasury, I focused all of my nation's resources on building a massive fleet. Then a devouring swarm showed up so I declared the Independence of all the nations surrounding it. It took a few decades before the devouring swarm finally managed to starve itself, but hey, I beat it without fighting.

      ​@@XxXMrSisterFisterXxX I saw him a few years ago when he was doing the Torso solo Kenshi streams. They were like 1-3 hours long. Hideous pain throughout. I noticed that his stream of thought narration style and mercury voice type fit quite well with Szeth's videos, so I linked it to him and said if he tried this type of video, he would make the most of his talents. He was still at a couple of thousand subs.
      Now he is almost a million, heh.

      Most of our budget goes to pensions and the garbage educational system we're stuck with.
      Military budget is far less then you think and a decent chunk of that is spent studying ayylmao starships that are kept locked up in secure storage by the pentagon.

    I did a USA run in Stellaris like 1 or 2 years ago. The objective was to integrate the entire galaxy into the federal republic as equal ctiizens. The finest moment was when three of my vasals, all fromer autocracies, were annexed ("integrated into the union after a democratic transition") in 2276- the 5th centenial of the United States.

    While from a gameplay point of view I'm disgusted it took you so long to clear the Sprawling Slums (thus denying an entire pop that could be working this whole time and more than paying off the mere 300 energy cost) is it AGGRESSIVELY AMERICAN to ignore the homeless for as long as possible so 10/10 for roleplaying.

    Played Stellaris in it's beta. Used to be so simple, stopped for a while, and when I returned after a NUMBER of updates; It was clear you have to be a diabolical maniac to play it effectively.
