STELLARIS FEDERATIONS IS A PERFECTLY BALANCED GAME WITH NO EXPLOITS - Federations Are OP

  • This is a sponsored video!!! So today we are playing Stellaris on the super special early release build of the new DLC Stellaris Federations! This new DLC focuses on the Diplomatic sides of Galactic Conquest. There is only one slight issue that might require the spiffing brit to see if Stellaris Federations Is A Perfectly Balanced Game With No Exploits - That issue is that federations are OP or overpowered! But not in the way you might think. You see with the hegemonic start you begin in a federation with two other alien empires. Naturally the game does not expect us to break the federation immediately and steal their two crazy overpowered worlds! And with this increased power as well as spiff glitching the ship fire rate mechanics! Oh the developers also sponsored us to break a game!
    What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. If you enjoyed this then be sure to check out more. The style is similar to RT game and callmekevin in parts. A large influence on this series has come from Valefisk and The Killian Experience.
    So sit back relax and enjoy this Stellaris Federation only challenge ;) !

Shattered Ring has some mineral problems; the Interloper site they give you to mine is just not enough to maintain it. With Hegemon, it's easy to be overtaken as President early on, and while you're playing catch up the new president removes their term limits. Then you waste a lot of the early to mid game seceding and re-conquering them as vassals like our boy here didn't waste any time doing. The only easy-mode start that doesn't seem to have too many drawbacks is Scion, until it's time to throw off the yoke- but you can easily deal with everyone else first and then go after your Paragon FE or hope things go wrong for them in the endgame

    Quick reminder : a "pop" in Stellaris isn't a single person, but a group of several millions at the very least.
    So after callously betraying his sworn allies, Spiff slaughtered hundreds of thousands of civilians in orbital bombardments before imposing a totalitarian militaristic regime upon the survivors.
    If you listen closely enough, you can hear the developers frantically installing a "revolt" mechanic to punish such behavior. That, or perhaps a malus to reputation with every civ you encounter afterwards who learn of your bloodthirsty, treacherous ways.

And I'm not going to say they're wrong as those are two last big ones people wait for. All that is left is add regional focus trees akin to chinese shared one to South America(and ability to disable them completly) and Middle East and we're golden. There's basically no more possible non-alternate history content left to add. So they'd milk those two dry because people will buy them.
      Stellaris however is a complete content sink. There is no limit apart from engine and copyright ones to the amount of content that can be added. So it's not the same. I hope they'd focus on Imperator more though to justify its existence. As well as developement of CK3.

    Spiff used the origin not the intended way what is cool and all, but this is not much more op then simply rush your two neighbors or in the other end of the spectrum ignore the navy and colonize 10-15 planets as gestalt as fast as possible. Cool strat but not an exploit.

    • @EstrellaViajeViajero

      Still, they could patch this origin by making it impossible to break the federation for the first 15 years or so.

    • @Corbald
      @Corbald Před 4 lety +3

      Kinda what I was thinking... Any Driven Assimilator would outclass this 'exploit' in less time via consuming the two closest neighbors anyway... Hive minds can out-populate it in just as short a time, and honestly, If you don't have a 30k+ lead on the AI in _whatever game you're playing,_ you're a bad Human. Still, I always love the _approach_ he has to just playing well, like it's some _arcane secret_ to be good at logi-sploiting a game!

      Actually, giving spiff an early key is litteraly game testing. Since it's an early key, by the time it's actually released the devs would have seen the video, and fixed the exploits.

      @@margaritakouzi5630 Exactly, it's genius. Give Spiff a key long before the games going to be released so you can just watch the video and fix any exploits he points out. Most games i've been in early access for or gotten closed beta/alpha keys for back when i was a game tester they literally tell you to try to go out of your way to break the game as much as you can. That's the point. Though it seems the term 'beta test' or 'early access' has lost almost all of it's original meaning to the majority of gamers and game companies these days.
